Though 315 specializes in roofing and gutter services, I also needed assistance with some other things to prepare the house for winter and ensure that all would be sound during the months we're away. My friend assured me that Matt (the owner) does "just about everything" and is, in her experience, always a pleasure to deal with. When I spoke to Matt on the phone, he seemed knowledgable and immediately put me at ease. He explained that he could handle most of my areas of concern, including keeping pine cones out of the gutters. In person, he was friendly, professional - and quite the perfectionist. As it turns out, Matt and his team can take on all sorts of "handyman" tasks - anything from painting and landscaping to basic repairs, clean up jobs, demo work and installing insulation. In just two afternoons, they not only got my gutters in shape, but also helped reorganize part of the garage (mostly by helping to move heavy things), weatherized all the windows and replaced some old insulation in the attic. So far, the gutter guards they installed are holding up well; having help with the garage project we had been putting off (and dreading) was a godsend, and we are happy to know that our upstate retreat is now a lot more energy efficient. I look forward to saving money on future energy bills and would definitely recommend 315 to anyone in the area who needs gutter help, weatherization services or general "handyman" services.

At first , I had one independent contractor try to fix a leaky gutter and hundreds of dollars later the front one still leaked! So, I called Iron horse. They came out and within 15 minutes replaced the piece of the gutter that prevents leaks and for 100.00 bucks! No more leaky gutter and I was happy. They didn't try to sell me anything after that job. So, I had them come back months later to replace the back of the house gutter and with the top covers to prevent leaves and debris from getting in. BUYER BEWARE Less…read morethan a week after I had gutters installed by Iron Horse of Syracuse in January 2021, leakage problems had to be fixed at two separate sections. Again this year, in the exact same two spots, the same problem: the leakage resumed. Last year one of the owners (Ben) first insisted that it was a roofing problem, but when the other owner (Eric) came with him after I pressed the issue, one section was replaced. The other section was sealed. The moral of the story? Despite the same problems, in the same two sections, video, audio, still pics and all ... again, the co-owner (Ben) blames the roof--even when two separate Syracuse roofing company assessments say otherwise. My guess is that he's likely telling the same line to other customers, which is why I'm posting this review. Videos and pictures, thankfully, clearly show what I consider to be the shoddy work of this company. Specifically and importantly, they show the roof edge is intact along the entire edge. More to the point, they show the huge gap between the soffit and the gutter that was installed in January 2021 by Iron Horse. Pictures do not lie. My conversation with the same co-owner today (Ben) made abundantly clear that he could care less. Initially he offered a refund when he thought I was buying his roofing story, until I called his bluff and said 'yes.' Then, his story changed. Again. If you can avoid this company, please do. You will almost surely save yourself a headache that's hardly worth their lower pricing and quick (shoddy) work. I'll post an update once I get these sections replaced by another gutter company that doesn't operate 'in the gutter.' I'm guessing that a lot of the 5-star reviews from "customers" that have posted only 1 review are likely fake. That should tell you all that you need to know. Or, maybe it's just that every customer won't get the same 5-star service as the other "customers" here.

The info that was provided was very professional and informative on what you should ask anyone when requesting an estimate for roof repair. The workers showed when scheduled and I was very surprised that it was completed in such a quick and professional manner. The workers were very respectful to the property, and it didn't look like they were even here. Once finished Alex came by and did a walk around to make sure everything was completed as promised.
