Mike was so complete and thorough in all ways imaginable to get our remodel & renovation done. Permits pulled, inspections passed. Invoices and change orders always in order. Cannot be more happy. Mike and his team did a great job remodeling our garage (adding drywall, insulation, a door, window, lighting, etc). Throughout the entire process, Mike was very organized and detailed with the plans. He walks you through the entire process and makes the process clear. The great: the quality of workmanship was top notch. Everything looks top quality and done right. He does the designs himself, which is great. He also took care of all of the city permits for us, and scheduling with the city inspectors. The good: Mike was the most expensive contractor we got bids from (we got 2 others). You are paying for quality and detail. Along with this, Mike goes by the book. He'll make sure to follow every single California code and city code out there. This can be frustrating as it extends the process, limits your options and makes everything more expensive. The meh: When we originally spoke with Mike, he gave us a projected timeline finishing by the end of December. The project ultimately was done by the beginning of February. For us, this wasn't a huge issue, but if you're on a tight timeline, Mike does take his time. Also, for most of the days, he only had one worker working on the project when their easily could have been 2-3 workers working together or on different aspects of the project. The project could have easily taken 1/2 the time, but again - the quality of the work is worth more to us than the schedule. There were also 1-2 times when we scheduled a meeting at a particular time, and Mike pushed the time back by an hour or more. Overall: We appreciate everything Mike did for us, and we would definitely recommend him if you are willing to pay a higher price for a detailed job that is by the books. If you're looking for a quick job, he might not be the way to go. read more

In the essence of time, should you need any type of general contracting service, make sure MH is one of if not your only bid. Mike is fantastic and very professional. He did a bathroom addition, a master bath redo, and some other smaller projects for us. We were doing our nesting before our daughter was born, and Mike did his absolute best to be done before the birth, which he succeeded doing with flying colors! His communication from beginning to end was superb, and we were never left guessing about anything. We still have another bathroom that needs to be redone, and he's definitely going to be our go-to guy again! read more

Great company! Easy to work with. Mike is very "detail oriented" but is flexible as well. His employees were very knowledgeable and easy to get along with. They treated me with courtesy and respected my home. The guest bathroom was remodeled from scratch (new vanity, fixtures, tile, plumbing, electrical and paint.) It became a joint effort and it looks absolutely beautiful now. I enjoyed the "down to the nitty gritty" planning. Mike had everything on print-outs, so there was no room for misunderstanding. Maybe I shouldn't write all those positive things about Rueda Construction. That will only cause more problems for me to plan my next project with this very busy company. Great job! We are still getting wonderful compliments on an addition that was done 7 years ago. Mike is extremely professional and very exact, to the penny. He did a phenominal job on joining two rooms to create a mini concert hall that is multifunctional. He understood what we wanted and did the design himself, saving us architect fees. We have now hosted over 25 concerts thanks to this wonderful "great room." He is meticulous and everything is cleaned up daily. Highly recommended. read more

Mike is fantastic. His complete remodel of our kitchen and 3 bathrooms was great. In addition he installed new baseboards throughout the inside, painted the entire inside, and carpeted 4 bedrooms and the upstairs landing. He is very conscientious, professional, and dedicated.
