A few days ago, they had several mid-century style pieces of furniture that were new. Seems like most of the furniture are manufacturer closeouts, or dent and scratches, This Habitat ReStore amazes me, because it is in a nice modern industrial building, which I have never seen Habitat occupy. The others I have been to , are in the oldest most run down buildings in low rent areas. However, as nice as this building is, you look way up at the ceiling, there is no AC or other cooling system. It was over 100 degrees when I bought this chair, outside temp. They leave the front door open for the breeze but you feel all the hot air, that is hotter than the temp inside the building. The employee at the cash register, near the open door where all the hot air was coming in, said "Yep, no AC". But if you didn't have air circulating, even hot air, it would be a greater hotter oven. They have a separate room, where they sell small stuff, not even related to building or home stuff, like bike helmets. The thing about this store, the things they sell here are newer, and not used and sometimes broken and chipped, like the other Habitat ReStores have. The donations come from manufacturers or commercial businesses rather than individual donors that are remodeling their homes, or got a new piece.

The place is clean and we get to explore out back and pick our rocks. The staff is very friendly helpful with our question. My 7 yr old son enjoys exploring the place and the rocks. I would have gave more stars if they were more attentive to customers when they arrive. Also pricing was extremely high. I asked if they would price match and I was told no. So I drove to another place about an hour away. It saved me about $360to do so. They would have had a sale from us if they priced matched and over $10 more per item is a huge markup. Just saying.... I just discovered Hank's hardware because Ace hardware in Temecula shut down. So I went to Hanks…read morefor the first time a couple of weeks ago and they have loose screws and nuts and other parts sold by the piece just like Ace hardware. I made Hank's biggest sale of the day two hexagonal head metric screws for 27 cents each. I went to San Diego Ace Hardware in Clairemont Square, where they were charging 95 cents for each screw, vs Hank's 27 cents. I said NO, not paying $2 for two 1.5 inch screws!!! Ace employee said it was expensive because that is now much a METRIC screw costs. I took one of the screws back to Hanks 2 weeks later because it was too short. Hanks happily gave me credit for the 27 cents so I could trade it for a screw half inch longer for onlyh 5 cens more, or 32 cents, when Ace wanted 95 cents for a shorter one.

We walked in with our baby and the slabs they left us to look at were out in the sun and only towards the end did one of the fork lift guys tell us there was umbrellas that we could use for shade. We just felt like we were inconveniencing them by being in the store. Would not recommend this location. Go some where else that treats customers with more care
