It was nice to see Steamed Glutinous Rice in Lotus Leaf on the menu - I just find food wrapped in leaves fun! Based on other reviews, the fact that dim sum is this small chain's speciality and the general madness of trying some Thai style in a Chinese restaurant, I'd suggest you stick to the dim sum here, there's plenty to get a decent meal. Having said that, bf tried a chicken dish (I think the one with cashew nuts) and really enjoyed it. I would say overall this would be the best place to eat in the Trafford Centre, although the Korean restaurant Wokooshii nearby is good too (probably not coincidentally, as it's owned by the same family).

Oh Rana for once in your life.. WILL YOU PLEASE for the love of God refrain from giving full…read moremarks..for once!!!!! Nay I say, for what shall be shall be. On a mothering Sunday I taketh the mother bear for an evening of dining and .... well, more dining. The much visited haunts such as Rice and Tampopo were brimming full of folk passionately munching away on their spoils, which led us to a conundrum. Where to go, where to go? My last visit to Yang Sing involved not full on consumption but a mere passive eating experience when I turned up late for a meeting (resulting in finger dipping and friendly fire on plates of accommodating dinner acquaintances) So... sensing a weakness in the queue length we parked ourselves outside the aesthetically pleasing exterior. The aromas that magic carpeted their way from the kitchen unto our nostrils did excite the rumble in the stomach jungle much, after we'd convincingly devoured the menu with our eyes. After a 15 minute wait we were seated by the most polite gentleman ever to walk the face of Yang sing Cathay. Only a few seconds elapsed before I began waving impatiently at the nearest waiter... (My stomach now staging a full on rap battle in sound effects) The food here was arguably the best Eastern restaurant food I have consumed.... wait for it.....*Gathers American accent momentum* Period!!!! I'm not sure whether it was the empty stomach talking or what not, but the four mains we ordered between us were healthy in proportion and delicious in content(tion?). The Beef fried rice I had were rich in texture yet not too oily.... El Madre went Chicken Kung Po on us whilst the other two mains were: shredded fillet steak with spicy yellow bean sauce and the Taiwenese sizzling chicken.... The Kung Po chicken was tender and very loving towards my tastebuds... The sizzling Taiwanese chicken thighs clothed nicely in egg fried rice went down a treat also.... However the show stealer was most definately the Shredded fillet steak... I cannot remember all the ingredients (there were red peppers) that ignited the tonguelar sensory glands ..in fact I cannot remember much aside from the intense culinary pleasure of this dish... I cannot recommend highly enough... With Mains ranging from £9-£13 you're looking at a dinner for two with drinks @ anything between £30-50 depending on the hunger scale you're operating at.. which isn't bad considering the high quality of food on offer. Trafford Centre despite the quantity of eatery options is in fact not so varied in terms of what is on offer. Yang Sing Cathay however has at least provided another option for me aside from Tampopo, Rice and the ever present and reliable Nandos. So indulge your yin and YANG & SING and purrr like a CAT wHAYyyyyyyyy (now put the capital letters together and you've solved the puzzle for where you should dine next time you're in Trafford. Simples)

I believe he is local to Manchester, and his energy made me choose the place. My server was simply excellent all night. I believe she's originally from Poland, and with the biggest smile throughout the meal, she shared that she and the staffs pride themselves with excellent service. The salad and garlic bread were tasty starters. The duck salad was designed to be interactive and for the diner to assemble mini lettuce wraps. The steak was perfectly grilled to my request. I would come here again the next time I visit the Trafford Center.

Once you get inside however...its great. There are little tables in snugs and nooks to chill out in or to cosy up if the mood calls for it. The Waitress was very friendly and attentive, immediately asking if we would like any water for the table, before taking our order. I had Bills Burger and my friend had a seasonal special, Chicken Satay Skewers. Both dishes arrived quickly and both where delicious, my burger was juicy, moist, really tasty and the fries where great too! My friends Chicken Satay looked amazing, it was served with a lovely fresh looking oriental slaw and a side of Peanut sauce to compliment the skewers. I was reliably informed that it was `bang on` Prices are very reasonable, 9.95 for the burger and 13.99 for the Satay. When we got the bill, there was a 10% service charge already added to it (standard practice apparently at Bills) it is discretionary, but as the service was so good i was fine to pay it. I will definitely be returning to Bills, the food, service and over all experience was really nice.

The gluten free menu was very poor and was literally a really small selection of noodles which were gluten free and near enough no other options sadly, salads were in there, but it just was quite poor for gluten free. The service wasn't very good, after handing me a menu, no member of staff offered to talk me through the menu and they just couldn't care less whether I dined their or not, they didn't try and get me sat down or tell me more about their gluten free options to actually pull me into the restaurant, which is needed for a location with so many other rivals in one of the largest shopping centres in the UK - The Trafford Centre. I did get a menu, but the staff members just lacked confidence talking about gluten free, which was a real shame. This place stood out to me, with the multiple signs which drawn me in sadly bad customer service and an awful gluten free selection pulled me away, hence resulting in a single one star as this place really does need to do more to compete in such a busy location with dozens and dozens of rivals nearby.

We came in around 9pm with my brother who has been to a couple other Wagamama locations and he had only good things to say about it. Being from California where Asian cuisine is pretty freakin' good, I was a little skeptical but found our meal to be great! The decor is wonderful (modern, spacious, clean) and the menu has so many options it took me forever to choose! We got the katsu curry, chicken ramen, bulgogi, and grilled duck donburi. Everything was great and we even ordered dessert! The pricing seemed reasonable to me and the service was good. We would definitely eat at Wagamama again! Thanks for a great meal!

To me the clean lines, white leather upholstery and blue lighting made it feel cold and sterile, almost intimidating. Yet after a couple of Stolichnaya Vanil and Tonic cocktails served by a very friendly bartender, somehow the colour scheme felt calming and tranquil. Funny that. Once I was sat down, it only got better. This Cantonese restaurant and Dim Sum bar offers high quality cuisine and great service. We started off with a mixed plate of dim sum and a couple of steamed char siu bao (sweet buns filled with barbecue pork, and a personal favourite of mine) to share, which were practically inhaled by my table in seconds. For my main I ordered Pacifica sirloin steak, a twist on a regular sirloin as it's prepared in the wok with onions, straw mushrooms and oyster sauce. The meat was cooked perfectly medium rare as requested and for £12 was a healthy size and premium quality. Absolutely no complaints. My friend ordered the hot and spicy Sichuan mussels which were the talk of the table: served with crushed ginger, garlic and chilli sauce, they had some kick to them. Somehow, with cocktails and wine included, our bill came to less than £30 a head. You didn't see any of us complaining, it could have been twice the price and we'd still have been happy!
