Remembered to take a snap after I'd started to tackle this beast.

THIS IS THE UPSTAIRS BRANCH NOT THE ORIENT ONE. After a couple of hours ducking, dodging, weaving and dancing through the Trafford Centre (shopping as it's sometimes called) I had worked up an appetite worthy of a wolf according to Duran Duran. I decided there was only 1 thing that would satisfy this hunger...A Burrito the size of a small submarine. Now, the Trafford Centre being the size it is, I would've thought that there would've been at least a couple of different Burrito establishments. To my surprise there was 2!....but they are both BarBurrito. Why not give one of the other local companies the chance to shine and spread the Burrito love!? Anyway, I digress. The selection here is not bad, Burritos, Tacos, Nachos, Burrito boxes etc There's Chicken, Pork, Beef cubes and Spicy Pulled beef (which I had) Lime and coriander rice or Spicy Mexican rice. Then there's 2 types of beans, there's guac and sour cream and all the rest of the usual fillings. Now I had peppers and onions on mine, but then saw they had mushrooms available! So, I asked for mushrooms as well. ..50p extra for the smallest spoonful of mushrooms humanly possible which is a bit steep I thought! We also had Nachos as a main, to share. You can get quite a lot on top of these! The cheese sauce was really nice! Choose your drink (which includes beers) and away you go to slay the monster you have created! There's plenty of seating inside and out, it's nicely laid out and spacious and it was very clean. Overall my BarBurrito experience was great, the food delicious and good value and to an extent healthy?!

    The delights of the burrito.

Been going to this place for years now and fails to disappoint. It's awesome. And keeps getting better. Today after a hard weeks shift the staff were so nice to me. He even made me a coffee to pick me up. Small gestures like this really make a business shine and work. Going above and beyond what was needed. My hat goes off to you. Then the food is delicious. Perfectly made burritos. So tasty and succulent. Nom nom nom Try the Chipotle sauce too. It's to die for. Go check out the place. I will be coming back again soon.

I looked really silly the first time I visited this restaurant in the beautiful Orient section of The Trafford Centre. Fuelled by its success in Manchester's Picaddilly Gardens, this branch opened a couple of years ago and as a lover of Mexican food I decided to give it a go. In my defense though, they don't explain that it is a queue and order system like in Subway, and I sat at a table for 20 minutes until I practically fainted with hunger. As I worked out the system, customers passed me with plates piled high with hot foil parcels containing delicious burritos and mouth watering piles of nachos dripping in cheese and jalapenos. This is food for under a fiver and until I came here, I was really proud of my home made fajitas. The coriander rice served in the burritos is gorgeous and this is perfect light lunch and takeaway food. Surprisingly, given the fact that there is no Mexican competition in the Trafford Centre, this Barburritos is always quiet and you never have to queue. The food is very filling and after lunch here I don't need to eat for the rest of the day. I highly recommend Barburritos guacamole - it is the best I have ever tasted. A great alternative for lunch time, this quiet little taste of Mexico is a winner.

The create your own burritos are so good definitely worth going too. Service is standard, and it's a nice little place to get lunch.

You guys cut off Joel Hansen. Not a good look. Other than that the tacos are relatively mediocre.

As a a treat my better half decided to treat me to dinner..fancying Mexican food he suggested Chiquitos.. I was like nope ..lets try here.. I had not realised it relocation until he said it was round the corner from him.. Stepping in, the decor was spot on. Nicely spaced out tables, perfect lighting oh and doors on the ceiling.. The background music was epic for me, full of nostalgic hits from my youth ahh. Immediately we were greeted and seated by a kind waitress who was a little too keen taking our drink order but then returned after a few minutes. For those that don't drink there is a plentiful innovate mocktail menu amongst a good selection of beer, wine and cider etc. I chose a standard pino colada which was the perfect consistency and booze balance, Himself had a standard cup of tea which was served in bone china :) The menu itself is varied too, it ranges from Mexican, Thai to Brazilian. Knowing by now not to not have eyes bigger than my belly I settled on a Seafood Stew served with rice and beans. Himself selected the beef strip burrito. The quantity of seafood in mine was plentiful. It contained fresh tasting prawns, whitefish, green lipped mussels and squid. It was similar to a Thai soup but thicker and went well with the accompaniments. He was very pleased with his burrito, I was too full to try any of his . Finally we checked out the desserts, I was slightly let down as it lacked churros :( so we passed and enjoyed a liqueur coffee instead. Overall, the food was fresh and tasty and averagely priced. The service was very attentive with friendly staff asking at the right times if everything was okay. Oh and they had lolly pops on the way out...winner.. Would I be back? Yes certainly.

I had the Hungry Gaucho which is basically a burger but that doesn't do it justice - the burger patty is topped with pulled pork, barbecue sauce, bacon and cheese and was astonishingly good. Served with fries which very nice if a little bit too salty for my taste and onion rings. Sparky went for the lamb tagine - not something we were expecting to see on the menu since someone had described the place to us as "steak and burgers". The tagine was great and the lamb practically melted in your mouth. It gets very busy here very fast, so book a table if you're coming. A little bit on the noisy side, and the drinks aren't cheap but the food is definitely worth it.

Two words; Mexican Heaven. Ok now for the rest of the words…read more Gringos restaurant, Huddersfield is one of those places that are a hidden nugget of a town, that soon becomes a little bit of a local legend. You walk in and you're greeted almost instantly by a member of staff, before you get to know your bearings, you see a brightly decorated restaurant floor. Purple and red are the colours of choice. The tables are grand wood things with matching grand wooden chairs. You're seated, and menus are delivered and drink orders taken. Scanning over the menu, there's something for everyone who's willing to try something different to pizza, pasta and curry. Don't worry if you don't know the difference between a chimichanga and an enchilada, it's all there for explanation. Personally, I decided to try the chimichanga. I was not disappointed. First I was in awe at the size of the plate. Portion size, HUGE. The gargantuan chimichanga was full of the spicy lamb filling I ordered, and there was a nice portion of refried beans and potato wedges, all tex-mexed out, naturally. I'm glad I didn't go for the starter, by the time I'd finished my absolutely tasty meal, I was packed out to the limits, as was the rest of the overstuffed and replete members of my party. There were eight of us in total, and as we had pre-booked the table, sat down, and ordered all before 7pm, and the bill was brought to us before the hour of 8, all of our mains were 241, or bogof depending on how you look at it. In my opinion it was a royal bargain. Call it £1.50 for a small coke, and the total bill price for each person was £6.50. The only down side of our eating experience was that we were so full with our yumtastic and sizeable meals that we were all unable to roll our bellies forward to fill them with deserts, which were not two for one, but were very tasty in their appeal. So pleased we were with our meal, we re-booked for a second sitting a few weeks later, this time with 12 in our party and at a later sitting time of 8pm. Again the staff were very hospitable, and the place was packed, all good testament to how good the food is. As it wasn't two for one, various bods were willing to try the steaks and specials available, again all with accompanying noises of approval. And as it was after work hours, there were indulgences into the cocktail pitchers available, and also the shooters for the more daring. The alcohol is a bit steep in price at £15.95 a pitcher, but apparently the taste warranted it. Gringos has a great atmosphere, one of those places where you feel you could spend all night and have fun in a casual environment. Beware of elbow room, so popular is the place that there isn't a lot of room for manoeuvring oneself. I say get booked and eaten for 8pm and enjoy a full belly at a great price.

We shared a cup of chips and guac whilst waiting for our dishes. The guac was zesty and there was plenty of it but I would've preferred it to have been chunkier and less mushy. The veggie tamale cake bites with spinach and butternut squash was a nice dish but a little sweet for my taste. I also had the halloumi and pineapple burrito, which I wasn't hugely keen on - again the sweetness put me off. However, I tried some of my friend's sweetcorn fritters with green tomatillo dipping sauce and wow they were delicious so who knows, it's possible that with different choices I might have enjoyed it more!

I'd seen some terrible reviews of La Casita online but if being a person who writes online…read morerestaurant reviews teaches you anything, it's when other ones are not totally legit. So I ignored them and went anyway and I'm glad I did because it was a really delicious, good value meal with great friendly service. Rich and I shared the choriqueso and the guacamole bowl to start. The choriqueso as you may be able to guess is a ton of chorizo with a ton of melted cheese. Of course this was bloody delicious. The guacamole was good too, I'm not sure what was achieved by it being in a tortilla bowl but it definite didn't detract from anything. For mains I had tacos el pastor and Rich had fajitas with chicken and chorizo. The tacos were great - no weird hard shells here - and the filling very tasty. If I had any complaints here it would be that the meat had a slightly 'chalky' aftertaste, so possibly I'd try another taco filling on another visit. The hot sauce that comes with the tacos is pretty bloody hot, believe them when they say that. Rich's only complaint was that the fajitas came with a large amount of filling and only two small tortillas. To drink I had a bottle of Sol and a very good, very strong margarita. Rich had a pint of lager and a rum and coke. For two starters, two mains and four drinks we paid around £50 which I thought was pretty good. I'll definitely be back! I just hope it sticks around as businesses seem to come and go in this location (so go support them!).

A layer of lettuce sat on top with cream served with pico de gallo (Fresh Mexican salsa), and a spicy dipping sauce. I made a major foodie error, and ordered the Cochinita Pibil burrito for my main, which is basically an upsacle non-fried version of the Chimichangas - in my defence: PULLED PORK! The Cochinita Pibil was slow cooked pulled-pork marinated in oranges, lime and traditional Mayan flavouring, and was spot on! I HAVE NO REGRETS The restaurant is a quaint little place at the Chorlton end of Barlow Moor Road, with a large open window and terrace, which is great on a warm Summers' night like on the night I visited. The inside is filled with Mexican style décor, like an awesome painting depicted Cinco de Mayo celebrations. The price was very reasonable and service was great, friendly and attentive, and I will definitely return to sample the guacamole, and bigger variety of their dishes.
