Cumberland, which cooked up beautifully without an ounce of excess grease, none of the usual "scum" that escapes when you grill bangers, and they tasted amazing. Definitely worth repeat visits to work my way through their entire range. Also have a good range of "semi-prepared" meat products, e.g. marinated steaks/chops. Spotlessly clean shop and really friendly, informative staff who are more than happy to give advice and recommendations. Makes me proud to be a carnivore!

I've been in this Butchers on numerous occasions and never thought to leave a review until now,…read moreit's a bit of a legend in these parts! It's centrally located in Horwich, on Winter Hey Lane. They have a massive selection of fresh meats, chicken, Cheeses, Eggs, Bacon etc They also have a great hot meat and pie selection for lunch time. A home made steak pie costs £1.30 and a Hot, Thick cut Roast beef barmcake costs just £2.30! Both these are a must try and apparently you haven't lived until you have had a Greeleys Steak pie. Live a little! The majority of the produce sold comes from the Greeleys home farm, where they breed and rear a lot of their own animals. It does get busy during lunch time, but there are always plenty of staff serving so the queues don't last long. They also cater for outside events where they can provide a full spit roast pig etc! This place deserves a visit and a shout out for consistently being a great local shop, well done guys!
