The incredibly talented Dave Sardella created magic on the dance floor for our son's wedding. Simply fantastic! Dave wove together traditional and modern Lebanese music with American rock/country/pop with skill, energy and expertise. Guests from age 3 - 83 boogied all night long. Dave also did a superb job with the ceremony and cocktail hour music. Great music, great DJ - unforgettable night. read more

Murray Hill was wonderful to work with during our planning process. They were responsive and professional and answered all questions that my husband and I threw their way. We had Tom Pendergast, on the acoustic guitar, play during our ceremony and cocktail hour. He was amazing! Tom listened to all of our ideas and was able to play all of the songs that we wanted. DJ Marc Anthony was a pleasure to work with as well. We described our music preferences and specifically stated that we did not want the "usual wedding songs" played and he did a great job picking out music that guests of all ages would love. read more

We worked with Dakeya Christmas for our wedding. He was awesome. The best! We needed some mix of english/american music, but also music of the country where the bride was born and Dakeya did a perfect mix so guests from both countries had fun. He was very patient with us as some of our choices we sent to him last minute, he did everything perfectly on the night of. Music was such a natural part of our event which means there were 0 mistakes made! Dakeya was the best choice we could have made! Professional, on-time, pleasant, good vibes, great advice on music. Thank you, Dakeya! read more

We hired Eastern Standard to play some tunes at our wedding last year and they were great! Very wide range of songs, they accommodated all of our requests, and they sounded excellent. We were very happy with them and would recommend to anyone looking for live music at a wedding or any party/event. read more

I don't even know where to begin raving about our experience with Murray Hill! From start to finish, from billing to coordinating to the wedding itself, it was incredible. DJ Brian Dulac DJ'd our wedding last weekend and we couldn't have asked for anything more. Brian kept our (huge) wedding party organized for all entrances and speeches, he worked directly with our day of coordinator to make sure all of the moving pieces stayed in sync, and best of all the dance floor was PACKED the entire night (and we had a crowd ranging in age from early 20's ro early 80's) We have heard from multiple guests who said our wedding was the most fun wedding they've been to! Brian, thank you for making our wedding better than we could have imagined and completely stress free for me! Picking a DJ is tough, there are many to choose from out there. What set Murray Hill aside when originally picking a company were the personal videos each DJ has on their website, these really let us get to know the DJ'a before picking who we were going to use. read more

Absolutely awful. Impresonal. Literally didn't say a word all night. The entire wedding party left 3 hours early! Dont waste your money!

We had DJ Scott Arrington at our wedding last Saturday March 23rd. I found him through Yelp a few months back and he was one of the only DJs I contacted that made that extra effort to get my business. He. Was. Amazing. He had us fill out a list of all our music preferences ahead of time for the ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner, and dancing, and did not play a single song that I didn't like. He has great taste and all of his music flowed perfectly. I am pretty picky when it comes to music and had a long list of songs/artists that I didn't want to hear. And he stuck right to it - so important. Everyone I have talked to loved him as well, he had everyone dancing all night. He was early to set up and played all the way through to the end without a hitch. I would refer anyone I know to him. Seriously. I can't say enough about how much we all loved him that night! THANK YOU SCOTT!!! read more

We booked Murray Hill talent for our wedding that was originally set for Cape Cod. After we changed locations to our home town of NYC, Murray Hill agreed to do our wedding and come down for a small cost. I can't say enough about Scott, our DJ. Music is extremely important to me and I wanted the DJ to get the feel I was going for. A great dinner and a fabulous party afterward. I could not have asked for more with what Scott provided. He set the tone for EXACTLY the wedding I wanted and he kept the party going all night. I'm pretty sure he played all the songs I had on my "must play" list, but even if he didn't, the choices were so good, I didn't even notice. I would recommend Scott and Murray Hill to anyone looking to make their wedding their own. Great wedding, great party, fabulous music.... all thanks to Scott! read more

Scott Arrington of Murray Hill Talent recently provided outstanding DJ services for our wedding in Watertown, MA and I highly recommend the services of Murray Hill Talent for any future event. Our friends and family love to dance but we were still astounded at how Scott was able to keep 95% of our guests of all ages on the dance floor the ENTIRE night. People were still talking about the great selection of music the next day. He was courteous, organized, professional and a true pleasure to work with. Thank you for contributing to making our special day everything we dreamed it would be! read more

After a lengthy band search for our July 2019 wedding we chose Flipside and Murry Hill Talent. The communication leading up to our event was the perfect amount and Corin the bands leader quickly answered all of our questions. Their performance at the wedding was so organized and seamless. They drew rave reviews from each of our guests. Our caterer asked where we found Flipside and said they were the best wedding band she's ever seen perform. We couldn't be happier with our decision. We highly recommend Flipside to anyone looking for a wedding band. read more

We worked with Scott Arrington for our wedding day, and it couldn't have gone more smoothly! From our first call, we could tell he was on the same page with us with regard to the tone of our wedding and the kind of music we were looking for. Because I can't help myself and organize everything to death, we provided him with a few playlists: one for the songs with purposes like what I'd be walking down the aisle to, entrance music, cake cutting song, etc., one with "must plays" for the reception, and another with music requested by our guests. We told him to use his best judgment with what to play when outside of the required songs, and he nailed it! We also told him not to accept song request from certain artists on our "do not play" list, and one of our wedding guests thought it would be fun to quiz him and occasionally ask to play one of those songs throughout the night. It came as no surprise that he never did play those songs and held up his end of the deal (and Scott - we're sorry about that guest bugging you :)). We had a wonderful experience with Scott, and highly recommend him to anyone looking for music for their wedding day! read more

I will begin with the amazing attitude and spirit by Corin, our contact and President of Murray Hill. When you have a big event like a wedding, there are so many vendors to keep track of. And there can often be stress trying to get everyone on the same page. But Corin made us so comfortable, we barely thought about the music leading to the event. Don't get me wrong, we talked a lot about it, even meeting a few times in person to get to know each other. And that was the key...Corin understood who we are and what we are about. He seemed to really grasp what we were after, through a solid set of questions about our history together and our musical preferences. On the big night, Flipside was there early, set up, and ready to go. They kicked major ass. Our friends and family couldn't stop talking about the set list and performers...Which was only annoying because we were hoping that so many other things we agonized over would get compliments. But, we were still pleased ;) They played a variety of stuff, all in line with what we were hoping to hear, and they played it all well. I don't really know how a band can know so much stuff and play with such versatility, but they did. And, there were some personal touches, and excitement. Corin made a few trips out to the crowd to play a solo, and the saxophone player made it out to us during a dance to play us a solo. It was a memorable moment. I should also add that Corin played acoustic guitar during our cocktail hour, and ceremony. Potentially cheesy, but it wasn't, because Corin is a rock-star. He played some of our favorites and played some crowd favorites. Overall, that is one of Corin's many strengths. Aside from being an excellent musician, he knows what's best for the party, without compromising what the bride and groom want to hear. It's a skill, and it was awesome to witness. Needless to say, I recommend Flipside and Corin at Murray Hill. I imagine given their talents, any of the bands handle things with the same level of professional care. If you are looking for a stress-free experience, these are the people for the job. If you are a bride, worry about the groom showing up, not the band... read more

I selected Murray Hill Talent for my wedding last weekend on the Cape. They were a little pricier than others but it was SO worth it. Scott Arrington was great and very helpful for the initital set up (checking dates, seeing who was available, giving initial quotes) and then recommended DJ Brian Delac for our wedding. He provided the sound for the ceremony, wired my brother who officiated, provided cocktail hour music, and then of course worked the reception too. He was very knowledgeable in terms of efficent flow and timeline and worked off my basic ideas for music and created great playlists for us. The sound and experience was seamless and I felt comfortable that Brian was going to have everything under control. The dance floor was packed from the first song to the last and all age ranges seemed to be enjoying themselves. read more

We hired Vincent to DJ for our wedding and reception. He did a great job and respected our wishes for particular music. Vincent met with me ahead of time and put me at ease. Our wedding was fantastic and Vincent was great! read more

We hired Redline for our wedding this September and were blown away by their music. Their song selection was perfect, and we received tons of rave reviews from our guests who said they felt like they were at a concert and not a wedding. The night went very smoothly and I would attribute that primarily to Redline. Thank you! read more

We contracted the band Unity to play our wedding last weekend through Murray Hill Talent, and they were FABULOUS. Literally all of the 175 guests at our wedding were dancing the whole night, even though it was amazing hot. The band was extremely tight, the singers were great, and the band was really good at choosing which song to play when. They really made the night!! Even many friends and family members who are notorious non-dancers were on the floor! Thanks guys!!! read more

From the moment I first spoke with DJ Sheldon Davis of Murray Hill Talent on the phone, I knew he was our guy for the wedding. His energy and personality came through the line in a way that was simply electric. This dude is legit. He was by far our most responsive vendor, answering emails and texts almost instantaneously in the days and even hours leading up to the wedding. And the night of, he just blew everyone's mind with his incredible music choices, smooth transitions, and perfect coordination of all wedding-related announcements. Hire this man! Highest possible recommendation and happy to call DJ Sheldon a friend for life. read more

Flipside played our wedding in August 2018, and they were definitely the highlight of our event! We knew they were going to be great after having a chance to meet with Corin before the wedding - who was fun, easy to work with, and happens to be an extremely knowledgable musician. We had a hard time picking a band when we were planning or wedding, and we are so pleased that we ended up with Flipside. They also happen to be very accommodating, and handled some last minute changes on our end without any problems. (As a side note, we also used their uplighting, which I would recommend). Our guests couldn't stop raving about the band, and we are still getting phone calls from family and friends who can't stop talking about them! read more

We used Murray Hill for our wedding this July and had an incredible experience. We had Tom Pendergast as our guitarist (as guests arrived, during the ceremony, and for cocktail hour). He was super responsive but also easy going. My 14-year old cousin was going to be singing along with him in the ceremony and lived across country. Tom was willing to send her a recording of his approach to the song and came early to rehearse with her so she'd be comfortable. I received SO many compliments about his music during the cocktail hour. Really and amazing find. We had Zeke Stern as our DJ and he was phenomenal! Understood our style of music and made some great recommendations to us along the way. The dance floor was packed all night and so many people were saying how great the music was/how active the guests were compared to other weddings. I loved that he wasn't showy at all, but read the crowd beautifully! read more

Flipside played at our wedding and they were absolutely FANTASTIC! We just got back from our honeymoon and have been absolutely bombarded with emails, calls and texts about how great the wedding was but the one thing they have in common is everyone is OBSESSED with the band. Flipside had everyone dancing all night long. Their set list was ridiculously good. We decided to let them have free reign on what they played and I am so glad we did. Young and old everyone was talking about the song selection. The songs they played the type of songs that you haven't heard in a while and aren't overplayed but are awesome (so much so that you almost forgot how good they are). They also played several songs that we had selected for our videographer; they had obviously coordinated without me knowing but it was such a nice surprise to hear some of our favorites that weren't on their online song list. Our first dance song was one that wasn't on their list and they played it so well it sounded exactly like the original. Honestly the band knocked it out of the park, I cannot say enough good things about them. If you are thinking of hiring them I would highly highly recommend it. I know bands can be more pricy than a DJ but investing in a band is the way to go if you want a wedding that everyone will talk about and Flipside will make sure that happens. In addition to their talent, Corin (the band leader) was wonderful to work with, super responsive and thoughtful. He made everything easy and stress-free. My wedding day was so perfect but Flipside, hands down, made the night. read more

We recently had Scott Arrington DJ for our wedding at the Barn at Gibbet Hill and I can't say enough great things about him! He was friendly, organized, responsive in helping us plan for the wedding and hit it out of the park the day of! From the moment the dance floor was open it was completely packed-never a bad song played, never an open square inch on the dance floor! My husband is from Groton, MA and I my family is from Costa Rica and he managed to blend the music from both cultures seamlessly. Highly, highly, highly recommend him!!!! read more

DJ Brendan Howard made our wedding reception at the New England Aquarium. We gave him little guidance and he managed to combine modern music, classics and indian bollywood music smoothly and had every one of our guests on the dance floor the whole night. I would recommend him to anyone but if you are looking for someone who knows how to mix different cultures/styles I could not recommend him more. read more

My husband and I hired the FLIPSIDE to play at our wedding, they were hands down the most amazing band either of us have ever heard. From the first email sent to Murray Hill talent we were made to feel as if we were their only clients. Corin Ashley who is the manager at Murray Hill talent and also a lead singer and guitar player for FLIPSIDE, is one of the best people out there. He is so dedicated to his music and making sure his clients are well taken care of, he was having as much fun at our wedding as we did- and it showed. People were left starstruck and months after the big day we still have people calling us telling us it was the best band they have ever seen. I have told every one of my engaged friends that this is the band they NEED to hire, I would have eaten hot dogs and worn a paper bag as a dress if it meant I could have the FLIPSIDE at our wedding. Look no further- this is the band and agency that will make your day! read more

Red Line was our band and was absolutely amazing. They played very fun and classic songs for our dinner set (Norah Jones, Diana Krall), which very much impressed both our younger and older guests. They got the crowd going nuts on the dance floor...including my VERY shy mother (still in shock seeing her dance non-stop with my friends)! All of our guests raved about the band and still mention how great and talented they were. My maid of honor even said that they sound like a band that performs in movies...they played top 40s songs and nailed the Weezer song we requested (El Scorcho). Also played the classic "In my Life" song by the Beatles for the mother/son dance, which really got my husband's mother emotional. Very versatile and talented band...and made our wedding a GREAT party. Thank you very much!! Corin played the acoustic guitar for our ceremony ("What a Wonderful World" and "Fields of Gold") and sang "Let My Love Open the Door" for our first dance. It was performed beautifully and we wont forget a single moment from our wedding. Paul Natale was very helpful in coordinating all the details for our wedding and he was very responsive and professional. Very great experience with these guys. read more

Working with Murray Hill Talent was exactly what we were looking for. We hate all the cheesy dj's that play games and talk way too much during the reception so Murray Hill Talent was the way to go. They won't play the chicken dance, they won't make any stupid comments, they play more music and get the flow of the dance floor. We worked with Zeke Stern who was so professional and cool and he totally read our dance floor - we had people dancing like crazy from the moment we started until the end with perfect song choices to keep them moving. He made sure everything was organized and we had a call a couple days before the wedding to go over names and the order of things. Definitely use Murray Hill is you want great service (good prices!) and a no fuss DJ that will play great music all night long! read more

We hired Brian DeLac to DJ our wedding two weeks ago, and he did a fantastic job. He took care of the music for the ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner, and dancing. He was responsive and professional during all of our communications leading up to the wedding. Brian told us at the beginning that working with him should be the least stressful part of our wedding -- and he was absolutely correct. He provided us with helpful song lists to get a feel for our music taste but was also open to music that was not on the lists and reflected our cross-cultural families (including songs in Spanish, for example). During the actual reception, he clearly picked up on what got our guests dancing because once they started dancing, they did not stop. Everyone had so much fun! read more

We hired Redline to perform at our wedding. Simply amazing. The music was great, it added an energy to the party that is hard to put into words, and most importantly everyone was dancing. They played a wide variety of music, and it seemed to get better and better as the night went on. I had been to a previous wedding Redline had played at and knew I wanted to book them for my own. When my now wife wanted a DJ, I was adamant about getting a live band. It was worth every penny!!! It was a pleasure working with Ken throughout the planning process. read more

Hired Flipside to play at a party on April 29th. They were beyond amazing...great music, super vocalists and were so easy to work with. They had everyone on the dance floor all nightlong. Best Boston band I've heard in a long time!! read more

Scott is awesome!! We recently had him at our Saturday night wedding on the north shore and he did not disappoint. He was so easy to work with, and listened to what type of music we wanted played, and what to avoid (typical "wedding music"). He is very professional and played a huge part in making the evening flow really well. When the dancing started after dinner, the dance floor was packed. So many of our guests complimented the music. Scott does a great job of playing a combination of music that appealed to all guests so that everyone had fun. Live bands are great also, but unless it's a REALLY good live band, you're better off with a DJ in my opinion. Book Scott!! read more

Murray Hill Talent was recommended to us by our wedding venue. We were directed to their website where we could review biographies of different DJs and set up phone calls to determine who would be the best fit. We chose Mike Gent to be our DJ based on his background as a musician and his promise to be a low-key DJ that lets the day be about the bride and the groom, not himself. Mike certainly delivered on this promise and we couldn't be more pleased. Dinner music was just the right mix and played at the right sound level; able to be heard but not overwhelming. And the reception was perfect. He did not take over the reception with silly props, weird games or constant announcements; he let the dance floor rock the way it should. He was keenly tuned into our crowd and kept the floor filled all night long. We had a huge crowd till the very end. Thank you DJ Mike! Communication leading up to the big day was great! read more

We used Murray Hill Talent for our wedding, which was in March 2015, and we loved them. We had Tom play the guitar for our ceremony and cocktail hour and Scott DJ the reception. They were absolutely perfect. Tom, who seemed to really love what he does, was always available by phone or email to answer my questions beforehand. I adopted all of his suggestions and everything went absolutely perfectly. Guests were impressed with both musicians, and kept asking if we had chosen the songs for Scott to play beforehand (because they were so great!) We had not. He had chosen them all! We were also impressed with how professional and unobtrusive they were in getting set up at the beginning of the event, and in packing everything up at the end of the night. This duo is amazing, and we highly recommend them both for couples who want to coordinate everything themselves and also couples who don't have a lot of time to spend on music but want great music on the day. read more

This review is for RedLine in particular as that's the band we worked with. We had an incredible experience with Ken Freeman and the rest of the band. Choosing a band was the top priority for us as a couple and, of course, that also makes it a daunting choice too. My fiance and I were living in 2 different states and on the West coast so communication was key! Ken (a band member but also point person who we worked with leading up to the wedding day) was INCREDIBLE. Hands down the best, most responsive, responsible and caring vendor we worked with. Working with us and making sure our needs were met felt like his top priority - a treat when you're planning a wedding! Then, come day of, I have no words to describe the A++++ experience the band gave us and our wedding guests. It was absolutely the talk of the wedding. My favorite example: a post from a Friend wrote "no joke, 5 min into the reception" -- to a video with a PACKED dance floor with EVERYONE from wedding dancing (mind you, this was BEFORE any food was served!). I have goosebumps thinking about RedLine and, frankly, never write reviews but I couldn't ignore the need to recognized them. IN SUMMARY: 1) BAND WAS OUR TOP PRIORITY 2)WE HAD TO PICK 'BLINDLY' FROM THE WEST COAST 3) REDLINE ENDED UP BEING THE BEST VENDOR WE COULD EVER ASK FOR. THANK YOU read more
