Murphy's watermelon and honeydew. SO SO good. We bought a cantaloupe from a big box store that had zero taste.

Love love love this place. Best feta hands down this side of tarpon springs! Thank you so much for having feta in the deli that tastes amazing and is sold at such a great price. Being Greek myself it's so hard to find feta in my little town and the grocery stores carry stuff that tastes not even close. Also every single fruit or veggie tastes amazing great. Today picked up a honeydew and watermelon and oh my gosh. I mixed a store bought cantaloupe into my fruit salad in hopes of the cantaloupe tasting better. If you haven't been you HAVE to go. Staff is amazing and everything is top notch. Bought some crab and jalopeno frozen snacks and wow they were amazing. Didn't have any in today but we still found all kinds of other great yummies to take home.

I was so excited to discover this place recently!!! I am a New York native and have lived in Florida for over 10 years. It is very hard to find good pizza, authentic bagels and any kind of small family owned market overall. Murphy's blew my mind!!! What you will find here: - A great selection of local fruits and veggies (priced fantastically!) - Rainbow cookies and other baked goods FROM UP NORTH - Frozen exotic meats such as venison, elk, gator, goat, etc. - A REAL DELI! Fresh sliced deli meat, homemade chicken salad (I heard a woman say her husband will eat nothing else but this one), fresh bacon, and more - A bulk food section to pour out the quantity you want: grains, candy, flour Murphy's is the market that we had while growing up in Queens but located in Spring Hill. I traveled an hour to shop here and will absolutely be a returning customer. Everything was awesome and the prices are super affordable. If you're from up north and miss your little neighborhood grocery store, GO HERE!

Ask the Community - Murphy's Market

Do they sell organic meat at the meat counter?

I didn't see any while I was there, but it's very busy & people gather in front of the side-by-side meat counter & deli areas. They do sell exotic meats. I'd phone b4 driving over. Sorry I couldn't be of more help.

What more could you want.... produce, hand picked by the professionals and delivered! The first order, produce was great, they didn't have the soda I ordered for my son so they credited me. The second (and last) order went terribly wrong. I didn't get all of my produce and 50% of the produce I did get was wilted or going bad. Super disappointed I FB messaged the store (this is the only way to contact them, they don't have an email and they don't answer the phone) I was told they would by that day to make it right. Great! Waited all day and they didn't show. Emailed them that night, they got busy they will be there tomorrow. My husband waited all afternoon, no show. I finally requested a refund. Its been 8 days since my order and 6 days since my request for a refund and I am still waiting. They sent me a screen shot that they are trying although the amount they show as trying isn't correct. Messaged them back and they don't understand. I am all about supporting your local business, as long as your local business knows how to run a business. My suggestion to this business is stop the online ordering and stick to in person, this way you don't need to worry about short changing people. Clearly you need my money more than I do. To the consumer, just shop in person, based on the reviews, you will certainly get a much better experience than I did.

They also sell local produce and sides of beef. The staff gives you buckets to fill with strawberries There are three different types of strawberries spread out in different sections. Some are sweeter than others. There were no signs posted to differentiate them. . We picked all types. After you are finished they will bag and weigh your strawberries, and you will pay by weight. Picking strawberries is a good deal of work, walking on uneven ground and constantly bending to pick. The season runs from December to March, so the temperature is nice. The best way to store the strawberries is in the refrigerator, unwashed, and covered. The ones we picked have so far lasted one week and still taste fresh.

JG Ranch is about an hour and a half away from me, and was the only place open when we had the time, and it was definitely worth the drive. The ranch was pretty easy to find, just a drive down a dirt road following signs to the farm. You pass some chickens on the drive up that you can park and feed for no charge. There's a mailbox that was full of bread upon our arrival, and we also brought our own bread scraps as the website said we could. Pulling up to the farm, you see lots of rows of beautiful bushes as well as a bunch of big ol cows and some babies. :) You can feed the cows for free from a bin of leaves or have a little lunch at one of the tables by the cows. The farm itself is lovely. They're currently in their strawberry season, where you can hand pick strawberries into a bucket, and you're charged by pound. $3.75/lb. Not bad! Behind the entrance they had other veggies available for picking such as kale, rainbow chard, cabbage, lettuce, etc. When we came, a very friendly woman showed us the four different strawberries they had available: wild strawberries, strawberries for chocolate dipping, big giant strawberries good for making juices or drinks, and super juicy strawberries that are supposed to spoil faster. She was super helpful and showed us how the farm was also labeled with markers so we would always know which strawberries are in front of us. One of the farmers was in the back tending to the strawberries and showed us an easy way to pick them off the stem, and he also gave me a big beautiful strawberry that he picked for himself. Paying was easy as they took card with no fee. The payment area was inside a shop with other fresh produce and some baked goods. I know here you can also inquire about fresh meats. Overall we had a wonderful experience here picking strawberries. They also have a blackberry and blueberry season!

The farm also offers freshly made apple cider vinegar, which is perfect to try. On our visit, there were also chicken and pizza food trucks for lunch, making it easy to enjoy a meal while exploring the farm. We were not enthusiastic on drink options though, their wine was odd, sweet yet vinegary. I prefer more dry wines, but theirs was odd. Also, they did not have many options for kids... water and gaterade with food coloring. I would like to see more options without food coloring or even sprite (they did have Coca cola but I do not consider the kid friendly as it contains caramel coloring and caffeine). Other than that, they had a cute but difficult corn maze, lots of cute animals (cows, turtle, turkey and such), a small hayride, cute little games/activities. I do wish their store offered some honey or fresh jams and such but they did have lots of pumpkins (great for carving). Other than that it was a cute and fun place to go to with the family. We really enjoyed it.

Moi has now found the most adorable little Latin Market on the planet!…read more "Miguel's Latin Market" is so freakin amazeballs, not only does it have the cutest, tiniest, most fabulous secret little Latin Breakfast/Lunch cafe & coffee shop in the very back of the store, their in house meat market sells "Churrasco Empacado." Yes, "Churrasco Empacado" AKA "outside skirt steak" or "packed steak." Me likes to also make kabobs with Churrasco Empacado on the BBQ yum yum yum yum yum :)... Miguel's is truly a Real gem. A Chef's market indeed. If you love to cook, you will love this little Latin market. Walking into Miguel's, first thing you notice is, the authentic vintage vibe, a pulse actually, kinda like walking into a time capsule, like a tiny little Cuban market from the 50's. It has a tiny produce section, a meat market and a secret little cafe in back with 2 tiny super adorable retro 50's style tables. And the whole building is like the size of a shoebox. haha. It's TINY, but MIGHTY. The market side is fabulous. They have the best selection of plantain chips, A whole section of "BADIA" spices, in sizes I have never even seen before. They also sell giant bags of rice & all kinds of kitchen utensils/tools/small appliances etc., Fresh baked cuban breads, fresh corn tortilla's, Honduran crema, mexican crema, Cojita cheese, Oaxaca cheese, NachoCheese Ole! hahaha. FYI: The little cafe in back is only open from 8am to 3pm & it serves up the most incredible cafe con leche & the coconut pastry is super yummy too OuiOui :)... While we were there Sir Hubbers had the beef empanada. It was very mild, kinda sweet, not spicy enough for us, but the dough was fabulous. We want to try the pizza one next visit. They were all sold out of the pizza one. They also have daily specials we want to try. However, while we were there we found a hot sauce called "Matouk's Calypso sauce" AKA "Salsa Calypso" and it's made with "PICKLED SCOTCH BONET PEPPERS" (from the label) it's the hottest hot sauce I have ever had in my life. So yeah, I put some on Sir Hubbers empanada for a kick, it blasted us to planet Zog. Truly Unforgettable. Miguel's, a truly uniquely unforgettable place that is a must visit. Added to moi "most fave coffee places" lists. Highest Recommendations.
