We practiced social distancing from other groups and the baskets used to pick the berries are sanitized after each use. This family owned farm is located north of Tampa (kind of in the middle of nowhere, but the scenic drive and the amazing experience is worth it) in Brooksville, Florida. They truly are open "rain or shine" and one of the owners did not hesitate to offer us an umbrella (as we only had one for the three of us) to use while we picked blackberries. My mom had more fun taking pictures while my fiance and I had fun finding the "perfect" (turns out that I'm "berry" picky) blackberries. Bramble Creek's blackberries are the thornless variety so even when we are going through bunches of plants, we didn't get hurt. We were instructed to only pick the completely black berries, but to see the red and then half-red/half-black berries was a treat in itself since I'd never even seen a blackberry plant before. Blackberry season is winding down, but we definitely plan to return next year!

I have been following them on Facebook, and was so excited to learn about them selling their passion fruit. As soon as I found out they were ready, I had to go. I called the farm and messaged them through Facebook. Passion fruit is available for pick up on Wednesday's between 4-6, and Saturday mornings. You park and make your way to their fields which are their blackberry fields. Right by the parking is actually the passion fruit vines. Once walking by the blackberry fields, You will see a shed where they are stationed. Inside you will find different types of sauces for sale, blackberry jam, and currently their bins in different growth cycles of their passion fruit. Passion fruit are 1.50 each. I bought 15. Passion fruit are ready when they are darker purple and are shriveled up like prunes. I love passion fruit anything and it's hard to find. So happy to come across this local gem!

They also sell local produce and sides of beef. The staff gives you buckets to fill with strawberries There are three different types of strawberries spread out in different sections. Some are sweeter than others. There were no signs posted to differentiate them. . We picked all types. After you are finished they will bag and weigh your strawberries, and you will pay by weight. Picking strawberries is a good deal of work, walking on uneven ground and constantly bending to pick. The season runs from December to March, so the temperature is nice. The best way to store the strawberries is in the refrigerator, unwashed, and covered. The ones we picked have so far lasted one week and still taste fresh.

JG Ranch is about an hour and a half away from me, and was the only place open when we had the time, and it was definitely worth the drive. The ranch was pretty easy to find, just a drive down a dirt road following signs to the farm. You pass some chickens on the drive up that you can park and feed for no charge. There's a mailbox that was full of bread upon our arrival, and we also brought our own bread scraps as the website said we could. Pulling up to the farm, you see lots of rows of beautiful bushes as well as a bunch of big ol cows and some babies. :) You can feed the cows for free from a bin of leaves or have a little lunch at one of the tables by the cows. The farm itself is lovely. They're currently in their strawberry season, where you can hand pick strawberries into a bucket, and you're charged by pound. $3.75/lb. Not bad! Behind the entrance they had other veggies available for picking such as kale, rainbow chard, cabbage, lettuce, etc. When we came, a very friendly woman showed us the four different strawberries they had available: wild strawberries, strawberries for chocolate dipping, big giant strawberries good for making juices or drinks, and super juicy strawberries that are supposed to spoil faster. She was super helpful and showed us how the farm was also labeled with markers so we would always know which strawberries are in front of us. One of the farmers was in the back tending to the strawberries and showed us an easy way to pick them off the stem, and he also gave me a big beautiful strawberry that he picked for himself. Paying was easy as they took card with no fee. The payment area was inside a shop with other fresh produce and some baked goods. I know here you can also inquire about fresh meats. Overall we had a wonderful experience here picking strawberries. They also have a blackberry and blueberry season!

The farm's entry fee was $14 per person, and the pumpkin patch was beautifully decorated, offering great photo opportunities. Beyond the Pumpkin Patch, Farm offers other activities for children to enjoy. These include interacting with various animals, participating in a hayride for a tour of the farm, and more. The farm also offers freshly made apple cider vinegar, which is perfect to try. On our visit, there were also chicken and pizza food trucks for lunch, making it easy to enjoy a meal while exploring the farm. We enjoyed our visit to Sweetfields farm, as it offered a variety of activities that the children particularly enjoyed.

I would like to see more options without food coloring or even sprite (they did have Coca cola but I do not consider the kid friendly as it contains caramel coloring and caffeine). Other than that, they had a cute but difficult corn maze, lots of cute animals (cows, turtle, turkey and such), a small hayride, cute little games/activities. I do wish their store offered some honey or fresh jams and such but they did have lots of pumpkins (great for carving). Other than that it was a cute and fun place to go to with the family. While it presented fewer picturesque photo opportunities, the immense activities scattered throughout the property are enough to keep kiddos of almost every age busy. And there are some fun activities for adults to partake in, especially the ball throwing (tennis balls, footballs, and basketballs) and the pedal carts, which are too heavy for most kids to pedal. My son (and his bestie) loved the big slide (they went down it 20+ times), giant bounce pillow, and duck races. The petting zoo is an awesome option for animal lovers, and the hay ride (while we didn't do it) had quite a long line. They have a tricky corn maze, Tug of War for those willing, swings, and a lot of small side games for people to check out while wandering the farm. There are plenty of food options including an adorable Silo bar in the center, pouring brews and other drinks. One of the trucks was cash only, so we didn't order from them, but the other vendors were set up with Square or other payment methods. Tickets for entry to their Fall event were about $18 per person (3 years+ require a ticket) and it included parking. The farm itself is huge, we plan to go back for their day time activities, as the fright night tickets are a separate event - there's a lot to do, a playground area with a slide and swings, some carnival-type games, a bounce area, pumpkin patch/barn to pick some pumpkins, a Silo styled bar that's pretty awesome looking, a corn maze, tons of photo ops, and there's food on site as well. We went at night, so the heat wasn't a factor for us - it was actually beautiful weather. There weren't any signs telling us where to go from the entrance for the fright night stuff, so we sort of just wandered the farm until we found it. The paths are sandy, so there's a lot of dust kicked up with everyone walking around - you will go home with dust coating your nostrils and all inside your shoes. The fright night stuff was towards the back of the farm, there's a haunted house and a few haunted attractions that were pretty awesome. I didn't expect there to be so much to do, but the different haunted attractions were a blast for us and our kiddo. They really went above and beyond with the spooky decor. All of the staff we encountered were extremely nice and helpful. We'd come back for the fright night for sure, and can't wait to check them out for their regular hours.
