Ripe on the vine! Picking season is April and May!
Kristen W.

We had a blast at our quick stop at the blueberry farm! For $5 (cash only) you can pick 1lb of berries which is way cheaper and WAY more fun than the grocery store. These berries are delicious too. This is was easy and cheap way to entertain our toddler for about 20-30min and get tasty berries. I love how close this is to our home too! Super convenient! Plant City is great but not always on the to do list. This is just so easy! They also have grab n go berries if you aren't in a picking mood as well as blueberry jam! We really enjoyed our trip and will be back before the season is over! Tip: picking season is April and May!!

Almost 10 pounds!!

On instagram we saw beautiful farmland and huge yurt like tents as cabanas with the layouts described on the website. The website not having any photos should've been the first red flag. After making an over 2 hour drive from Orlando we are greeted by someone who had clearly already had a long day, asking us to sign waivers. We ask when the pizza will be served because we are incredibly hungry and it was going to be a hot day. They tell us after 1pm because the pizza comes from this amazing pizza place. We are told where the bathroom is and then led to our cabana. What a HUGE disappointment. It's a tailgating canopy with 8 seats and 2 blow up chairs even though it's advertised to sit 12. We were expecting an enclosed private space but we were just in a line of 5 other canopies the exact same size and decor. The only difference was the number of seats. We got to feed baby cows and they took Polaroids of the experience. That was pretty cool. We then got to feed animals and hold baby goats. That was awesome. Around 1:20pm the super Awsome pizza arrived. 2 dominos pizzas. Was this a joke? Dominos??? The pizza was cold and one of them tasted off. 5 minutes after we got the pizza we were asked if everything was okay and I said no, it's cold and it's dominos. The attendant stated that they got dominos because WE said we were hungry. And that they knew for a fact the pizza was hot because it was so hot on their arms. I was taken aback at the rudeness. The attendants then went to a different party cabana and spent most of their time there drinking alcohol with those guests and ignoring us. No one even wished me a happy birthday. What was supposed to be a full 11-5 day, we left at 2:30 it was so bad. I really hope Cowabunga refunds my mom her money. At least half if not more. DO NOT TRAVEL FAR FOR THIS "EXPERIENCE". It's only worth it if you live local and actually know what you're paying for. First photo is what was advertised. Other photos is what we got.

There are lots of activities geared toward kids, and for adults, the flower-picking area was really the main attraction for us. Unfortunately, that part of the experience left a sour taste in my mouth. We purchased two of the flower-picking containers for a little over $26 each with tax. The containers are supposed to hold water while you pick your flowers, but both of ours leaked badly. Since the entire purpose of the container is to hold fresh-cut flowers in water, I really don't understand why containers that are known to leak are still being sold at that price. One employee was actually trying to be helpful and explained that we could swap them out another time. We weren't arguing or even making a big issue out of it. While we were speaking with her, another employee suddenly interrupted and very abruptly told us, essentially, that the leaking wasn't a problem and that we would just have to deal with it. The tone was completely unnecessary. We had not been rude, confrontational, or demanding at all. In fact, we were perfectly prepared to just make the best of it. Being spoken to that way when we hadn't even complained was really disappointing. There is also a practical issue with being told you can come back another day to exchange a defective container: would we then have to pay another admission fee just to return and replace something that was defective when it was sold to us? We paid $21 per person to enter the farm in addition to the flower-picking purchase, so this was not an inexpensive outing. I don't expect everything to be perfect, but I do expect a product designed to hold water to actually hold water and, more importantly, I expect customers to be treated respectfully when there is a problem they did not cause. Ananda Farms has a lot going for it and I can see why families enjoy it, but this particular experience really changed the way I felt about our visit. I hope management addresses both the leaking containers and the way customer concerns are handled.

While it presented fewer picturesque photo opportunities, the immense activities scattered throughout the property are enough to keep kiddos of almost every age busy. And there are some fun activities for adults to partake in, especially the ball throwing (tennis balls, footballs, and basketballs) and the pedal carts, which are too heavy for most kids to pedal. My son (and his bestie) loved the big slide (they went down it 20+ times), giant bounce pillow, and duck races. The petting zoo is an awesome option for animal lovers, and the hay ride (while we didn't do it) had quite a long line. They have a tricky corn maze, Tug of War for those willing, swings, and a lot of small side games for people to check out while wandering the farm. There are plenty of food options including an adorable Silo bar in the center, pouring brews and other drinks. One of the trucks was cash only, so we didn't order from them, but the other vendors were set up with Square or other payment methods. Tickets for entry to their Fall event were about $18 per person (3 years+ require a ticket) and it included parking. I will definitely bring my kiddo back next year as this was a nice change of scenery from Sweet Fields (which we did two years in a row).

It would also be nice to have employees at each activity station to prevent line cutting. Everyone just cuts in front of you. Food trucks are a very long wait, we waited over an hour for a gyro and feta fries. Same thing with the kettle corn. My girlfriend and I waited a long time for kettle corn and when we got up to get the kettle corn we were asked about a ticket for it. We never received one and the guy never asked anyone in front of us but when we got to the front we were questioned about our ticket? Not sure what's the deal with that. Oh and the lemonade we got was just water. I asked for some lemonade because it tastes like water and she just put a sugar packet in it. Would really like to see improvement but until then we will not be coming back.
