I specifically went to my local Publix store at Lakewood plaza for an ice cream birthday cake and asked for the bakery person to inscribe the happy birthday sentiment with three names listed on the biggest Carvel sheet cake they had in stock. When I returned Sophie had it all ready for pick up. I was super impressed by her handwriting and just had to compliment her having the prettiest writing anyone has ever done for me on a cake and that's saying alot since I'm in my 70's and have ordered so many in my life! This is one of my favorite Publix grocery stores. This is in the Lakewood Plaza in Spring Hill. My other favorite one is on Mariner Boulevard in Spring Hill. Both are really great grocery stores. There's one Bakery employee and her name is Ann and she is the friendliest lady working in a Publix ever!! She likes customers and she helps folks too. There is also a great young man named Artie that goes out of his way by far to help you. They have everything here, including a pharmacy and a liquor store!!!! read more

I just had the nicest experience at this Publix. My cashier was Josh and he was very engaging. While I was in the parking lot unloading my groceries Arty came to help and even opened my car door for me. He was so full of manners. Thank you Josh and Arty. Well, on October 12, 2024, my shopping experience at Publix on 4365 Commercial Way, Spring Hill, FL, with deli associate Jennifer was anything but a pleasure. My husband and I stopped in for a quick bite to eat. When we approached the deli counter, one associate assisted another customer, so we waited in line. Then Jennifer comes from the back with bread to fill the bread box. We made eye contact, but that was all; there was no "I'll be with you shortly." Jennifer just kept filling the bread box. Upon returning, another customer approached the deli counter, and Jennifer's interaction with him was quite different. She stopped and asked, "How may I help you, sir," I replied, "Excuse me, but I have been here waiting, and I was next in line." there was no apology for the misunderstanding or explanation that she didn't see me there, just a "how may I help you." As I stood there looking at the menu and deciding what I wanted, I told Jennifer I would like a ham and cheese on Cuban bread. After allowing me to look over the menu and decide what I wanted, she told me that they were limited to the subs that they had available and then pointed to a printout on the counter. I looked over the list, and nothing was appealing to me. I told her that I was ok. She replies sarcastically, "Oh, I'm sorry." Upon leaving, I asked for her name because her demeanor and customer interaction with me and my husband were rude and unprofessional. Lousy customer service can negatively impact your business, sales, and reputation. A person's gender, creed, color, religion, etc., should never be a factor when you are in the customer service business. Every customer that walks through your door deserves to be treated with the utmost dignity and respect. Jessica and the rest of your team should be addressed about this behavior to prevent this from happening again. read more

This location is our favorite and all the people who work there. We've gotten to know many of them well over the past two years. We treat everyone with respect and kindness which they don't always receive. I've heard and seen outrageous behavior by others, and it's embarrassing. When you treat people nicely, they will go out of their way to help such as bake a loaf of bread for you because you have a soy allergy and sourdough is the only bread you can consume. The meat and produce departments are amazing as well. And we adore many of the checkout people and sackers. We wouldn't go anywhere else. read more

Been going here for a couple months and it's been a decent experience, however today was a little different. Everything was fine until I was checking out and paid with two $100 dollar bills. The cashier verified it with the pen that it was real and then after that she handed it to a lady with fake and horrible dyed blonde hair and caked on make up, who then walked away and went to the office in the back. About five minutes later the overweight and sloppy dressed manager came to me and said they cannot accept the cash payment and asked if I had anything else for payment of my groceries. I asked what the issue is and they said because it's an old bill and stained that they could not accept it. I told them I received that cash from the bank and they proceeded to claim it was not real and could not accept it. I think the bank would know more than these dumb dumbs if a bill is real or not. I don't appreciate their attitude in assuming this bill is not real and the way they go about treating me as if I'm trying to pass a fraudulent bill. read more

I am so impressed with the improvements they have made at this store! I was here a couple months ago and was really unimpressed with the produce section. I just went yesterday because I needed something quickly and it's close to my house... So glad I gave it a second chance! The staff is extremely friendly and everything was really well stocked. I hope they keep expanding their organic fruits and vegetables, as well as their local options. I also would like to see a little different layout when it comesTo their fresh bakery items, I was a little confused by how they had their set up next and mingled together. All in all, I was able to find everything I needed. And I will definitely utilize this location as my go to. read more

I have been to them all - Winn Dixie, Shaw's, Food Lion, Sweetbay, Kroger, Safeway... you name it. And nothing, NOTHING compares to Publix. There has never been an ingredient I haven't been able to find here, the staff is always friendly and helpful, the deli is always stocked with the finest meats (their tea sandwiches are DELICIOUS and perfect for entertaining) and the bakery is far superior to all supermarket bakeries. I've grown up going to Publix, and have honestly never been dissatisfied. Going to any other supermarket now is just disappointing. read more

This store continues to be a very nice store with a very friendly staff. They go out of their way to help. Their ice cream is still the best anywhere and it's still a full quart. the prices are higher than Walmart but, if you know what your doing you can cherry pick them for the best deals. This is by far the better of the 2 local Publix stores on 19. They have a great deli, excellent baked goods and made to order sushi! It's excellent! The ladies who make the sushi are more than happy to make it for you on request and it's better than most in the area. If you like sushi I recommend you give it a try on a Wednesday when it's $5! The staff are much more courteous and most of the cashiers offer the typical, "Hello, how are you today?" Instead of just talking with their buddy and ignoring you like they do at the Publix down the road. The subs are great and did I mention the sushi? They're BOGOs are the main reason we shop at Publix, or we couldn't afford to shop there. This location is clean and large. Produce section is large and well stocked. I like the fact that health and beauty is set aside so we can just skip that area. read more

When I go to pick up something to drink with dinner"the liquor store" I have tested her and ask her to play a lottery number for me!. 4 times I tested her and 3 times the number was put in wrong , I don't care because I go into the main market and play it there.
