Sea salt and Kieran's cookies ice cream
Allison P.

I stopped in here with my partner today as part of our day trip to Dingle. There was a bit of a line but it moved quickly with two employees working. One was scooping and the other was giving out samples. They were both incredibly friendly and quick. I got a small cup with a scoop of sea salt and a scoop of Kieran's cookies. They were both delicious! The sea salt ice cream uses salt harvested directly from the Dingle bay so it's extra fresh and delicious. The ice cream was so creamy and it wasn't too sweet like American ice cream can be. The shop was a little loud but we just took our ice cream outside and wandered around Dingle while we ate it. It was a lovely way to end the trip!

Wonderful local ice cream spot in Dingle. The brown bread ice cream was tasty - not too sweet but still so rich and creamy. Note the brown bread chunks do add a chewy texture so that may throw folks off. I didn't mind it. The service was quick and friendly and so definitely worth a visit.

Chocolate whiskey and Brown Bread

We were outside looking at the board listing all the interesting flavors and a friendly person working there came out to let us know we could get more than one flavor in any size and could try anything we wanted to sample. Sold! I went with the brown bread and chocolate whiskey flavors in a small cone and both were delicious. The brown bread flavor has crunchy bits of brown bread which was a wonderful addition. Others in my group enjoyed the lemon curd, mango, sea salt and smooth chocolate flavors. This is excellent, high quality ice cream that is worth every penny. They make the ice cream right in town and have a video running in the shop showing the production. Maybe someday they'll do tours! I would be into that if they ever decided to offer them. They do have some seating which was nice so we could relax and enjoy our ice cream rather than walk with it. Do not miss this locally made treat if you're in Dingle!

After finding out about Murphy's Ice Cream it was one of the things I anticipated visiting most while in Ireland. Let me tell you, it is an Ireland MUST. The first location we visited was in the Dingle, where Murphy's originates. When we walked in the staff were extremely friendly, and proceeded to offer us some samples so that we could narrow down our flavor choices. I ending up with Dingle Sea Salt and Kieran's Cookies in a cone and my partner did the same. I was skeptical at first about the Dingle Sea Salt flavor but I figured, when in Dingle, you must try it. This was seriously the best ice cream ever! It was so creamy, delicious, and flavorful and I truly think Dingle Sea Salt is the best flavor of ice cream ever. It was so good that we almost went back for seconds before leaving Dingle that same day. The good news is that they have locations elsewhere, in Dublin, Galway, Killarney and a few others. We ended up getting Murphy's again in Galway a few days later despite the cold weather, because it was that good. I love Murphy's Ice Cream!

So I wasn't aware this is popular spot until my friend told me she read about this place - omg the flavors were so good and you're able to try samples which all mine include alcohol. (Don't judge me!) I will stay - the employees were super friendly and even chatted with us then no one was in line. We were lucky because since tourist season was calming down a little - we were able to sit and relax inside with arm room. If I ever come back - yes i'll will be back to try new samples. Happy Eating!!!

This ice cream is so delicious! We stopped over in Dingle for a few hours after exploring the Dingle Peninsula and starred this place after reading so many reviews on it. Their flavors were unique yet simple. I ended up going with their well known Sea Salt caramel. The ice cream was so creamy and was a great balance between both sweet and salty. Sometimes I don't gravitate to this flavor right away because some places cant get the ratio right for me, but Murphy's somehow has it spot on. Their flavors change by the season and they do also have sorbet flavors that are made with distilled rain water. We found out that they've expanded to other parts of Ireland: Killarney, Dublin, and Galway I believe. Highly recommend this place if you are looking for a sweet treat during your Irish adventures!

Service is great. Not your typical flavors. I went with the chocolate whisky and caramel honeycomb. Will go back!

Maybe some of their other flavors are better, but the smooth chocolate was very underwhelming. I probably wouldn't go back.

Try the sea salt ice cream. Perfect mix of sweet and salty. The Irish brown bread is also excellent.

I have to give a special shoutout to the vegan burger--it was absolutely outstanding. Perfectly cooked, packed with flavor, and thoughtfully put together with great toppings and a delicious bun. It's not always easy to find a truly satisfying vegan option in a pub, but this one exceeded expectations. The veg soup was also really good--comforting, hearty, and clearly homemade. And the salad greens were incredibly fresh and crisp, which added a nice, light balance to the meal. Great food, friendly service, and a lovely setting. I'd definitely come back next time I'm in Dingle!

I gladly chose a glass of Rockshore Lager instead. My Lunch choice was an Open Ploughman, as it looked interesting and wanted to avoid yet another Irish meal featuring potatoes. That was pretty tasty, as was Gayle's Prawn and Salmon dish. Nice place!

It can get…read morequite crowded but in the evening the town clears out a bit and finding a spot to eat is a bit easier. We stopped at Harrington's Fish and Chips based upon a recommendation and were very pleased with our experience here. This spot looks rather casual compared to other restaurants in town. Upon entering, there is a bit of seating near the counter where you can review the menu and place your order. There are a multiple large booths in the back room, which was empty when we had arrived. We took a seat there after placing our order. When the food was ready they delivered our food to the table - an order of fish and chips, mussels and seafood chowder. The fish and chips were really good. The fish was fresh and the batter was crisp, not greasy and lightly salted. The chips were thick cut, super crispy on the outside and creamy on the inside. The mushy peas and tartar sauce were fine. This was some of the best fish and chips I had in Ireland. The seafood chowder was hot and had a good balance between the seafood and creamy broth. The brown bread that came with the chowder was some of the best I had on this trip. The generous plate of mussels were plump, juicy and fresh. We had looked at a few other restaurants but were very happy we decided to give Harrington's a try. It may appear to be more casual and relaxed than the other restaurants in the area but it's definitely worth a try.

The chef(s) should be very proud of this one. The wagyu burger sent me to another realm. The party must've had minced onion or seasoning mixed into the meat which gave flavor in every single bite. SERVICE Delightful and welcoming servers. They were on it with replenishing drinks and asking how everything was. AMBIANCE From the outside, the place appears very unassuming. Another fantastic meal in Dingle!…read more The food at The Global Village Restaurant is nothing short of amazing! My sister and I did not think reservations were needed to dine here on a Monday during the off-season. (We were wrong!) Luckily, we were able to make reservations for our party of three on the following evening. We scheduled our dinner reservation at 5:30 pm so that we could take advantage of the early bird menu. The early bird menu is a steal! (Two courses for €28 or three courses for €32.) The restaurant was fairly empty when we first arrived so we were able to ask our waitress about the different dishes on the menu. I wasn't familiar with many of the seafood dishes on the menu so our waitress helped me choose a mild white fish from the selection. We started off our meal bottle of Prosecco from Global Village's impressive wine menu. For my first course I selected a trio of duck appetizers. My beautifully decorated plate included duck liver parfait, smoked duck breast, and rillette of confit leg with garden greens and spiced apple chutney. The appetizer was absolutely heavenly! For my second course I selected the pollock with duck fat potatoes, spinach, chorizo, and tarragon hollandaise. The fish was very mild and paired great with the potatoes, chorizo and hollandaise sauce. I selected French cream puffs filled with hazelnut praline cream, honeycomb, and aerated white chocolate and served with caramelized white chocolate ice cream and cocoa tuille. This dessert was absolutely heavenly! Would highly recommend reserving a table at The Global Village Restaurant if you are visiting Dingle, Ireland.

VERY poor service detracted from our evening…read more.... We visited with some local friends and were looking forward to dinner, but from the moment we walked into the restaurant the whole service experience was a let down. There was confusion as our booking had been recorded for 2, but it we had requested a table for four. The soul male waiter who proceeded to explain the situation did not handle the matter well, but we were assured that a table that could accommodate us would soon be available. When we eventually saw a table was laid up, we had been waiting outside, we walked back in to find the table lacked 2 chairs. A waitress indicated that she would bring two, but after 5 minutes two of our party were still standing, so we simply took two unoccupied chairs from an adjacent table. Could the staff not have done this? On this Saturday night they had a party of 15 ladies in celebrating an event, and as the evening progressed this booking caused the whole restaurant to become overwhelmed with noise, inefficient service and generally a poor level of customer care. We were left waiting for bread, and only got some when I got up and asked at the service counter, after our starters were served. I had to ask three times in total. One of the more mature waitresses did inform us that due to the large party our main courses would be a little delayed and she was alone in trying to handle the issue. Other staff members seemed over whelmed. We reflect that the restaurant should not have accepted our reservation after such a large party had been seated, as the kitchen was having an issue serving 14 main courses at once. This might be expected but for the first hour of our visit to the restaurant no one attempted to engage us with the problem. A complimentary glass of wine and a sorry might have changed our entire view of the situation. The food when it arrived was very good and we would happily recommend the chef. So would we return, yes...but we would question what other reservations the restaurant had accepted.
