    Holy choice with added olives

Hidden away upstairs next to Dick Mac's Pub is this cute little pizza/wine bar full of cosy corners and curious creations. My girlfriend and I love going here on date nights as it is cosy and dark and if you are lucky enough to get one of the leather couches you can enjoy a romantic meal for about €30 (which is very cheap for Dingle) This is not your normal pizza joint and expect to have to decipher the menu from pizza titles such as The Holy Choice and The Hot Stuff Iberian!?! But everything we have had in there so far has been delicious with beautiful crisp bases and they will happily add a few extra ingredients for little or no charge. The real gems though are the salads that are literally the size of your head and you never know what they will contain. Corgette, cauliflower, its all thrown in, with a nice drizzle of balsamic vinegar. We tend to order one pizza and one salad and that is plenty of food for the both of us - and I like to eat! Don't expect too much from the staff, but they won't bother you either if you've been nursing the dregs of a bottle of wine for a while. Also note that they open till midnight and serve pizza's all night long, so its the only place you can sit down to eat in Dingle after 10pm.

The confit tomato appetiser we shared was excellent although the sourdough bread outshone the tomatoes in my opinion. My chorizo croquettes, while very tasty, were little more than a couple of mouthfuls. We also shared the pork belly tapas accompanied by a very generous portion of patas bravas. All accompanied by an excellent Malbec. Recommended

Our dinner was a welcome alternative to classic Irish cuisine. We made reservations, arrived early, and were seated promptly. They have a time limit on the tables, and very generous by American standards. Our wait staff were friendly, helpful, and there when we needed them. We found the atmosphere to be warm, comfortable, relaxed, friendly, and rustic. It was also cool to peak into the Kitchen and watch one of the owners in made-to-order action. One thing about tapas/pintxos restaurants is that 2 things sneak up on you as you continue to order small plates: the overall bill and how full you become before you know it. For the 4 of us, our total came out to 161 Euros (including a 12.5% service charge), which I thought was a good value for the quality of food and drinks received. Our choices included 4 different glasses of wine from a very nice list, with prices ranging from 10-16 Euros. We also had 1 coffee and 3 Herbal teas at the end. In between, our food choices were: - Grilled Sour Dough, Confit Cherry Tomatoes & Dingle Sea Salt + Extra - Roasted Almonds - Crisp O Connors Spuds "Bravas Style" Manchego & Aioli - Chorizo Sausage - Chorizo & Manchego Croquette, Aioli, Dingle Sea Salt - Fig Tempura, Dingle Goats Cheese, Peppered Honey - Potato Hash We enjoyed all our choices, with the only one comment that the croquette was a bit rich for our pedestrian tastes. We'd gladly come back to explore the menu further, which probably changes from time to time.

"Sea bass" served with a nice pomegranate mango topping, fried half potatoes and steamed vegetables. Both were good. Murphys beer on tap for those tired of Guinness. Service efficient but not chatty. We chose the alfresco option. We started with an order of oysters and a a bottle of Little Eden Shariz from eastern Australia. It was was smooth, with a nice nose and a smooth finish. The ostyers were amazing, just wish I could have had my horseradish and Tabasco sauce with them. The sea bass was very good and I really liked the mango pomegranate salsa which is unusual for me as I would normally not even taste such a concoction. The salsa was tasty and paired very well with the sea bass. The side salad was difficult to eat. The cup was small and spillage was inevitable. The service was good with one exception, the bill for dinner was never brought to the table, after waiting for a while, I went in and paid the tab. Prehaps that's a cultural thing. Prices were moderate-high. All in all an enjoyable but it did not rise to the level of five star.
