If you are in a search of a great DJ, hire Murphy's Bay Area DJ. We hired Brian for Tabernacle's 8th grade graduation party /dance, and he did a great job. He has a great mix of songs and had the kids dancing the whole time. I loved when he got on the floor himself and taught the kids a dance. You can tell he loves his job. He plays a great variety of music. He was very accommodating to what our needs were and he was quick to respond to any email or text that I sent him during the planning of the party. We also used his company for our photo booth. He was able to have an open booth for us and had a great variety of props. He listened to what I wanted the photo template to look like and wording, and he came back with a great design. He was quick to send a link to all the photos the following day. I can promise you, everyone at your party will be glad you hired Brian!! read more

Brian was a fantastic DJ from start to finish! We had the dance floor flowing all night and the laughter going! He has a fantastic attitude and went with the flow even with some last minute changes we threw at him with no problems. I really cant recommend this DJ enough! The photo-booth was also phenomenal, people were using it all night and now all have great memories from our wedding. Thank you Brian!! read more

This review is longgggg over due. Brian DJed our wedding over 6 years ago! We were so stressed with planning and getting everything dialed in and when we contacted Brian he took the steering wheel and guided us. The music playlist was perfect, from the opening song to the last song of the night. The lighting, the photo booth and everything was handled with a ton of detail. You can tell he and his team are passionate with what they do just from how smooth and enjoyable everything was from start to finish. Brian even made us a slide of pictures from when my wife and I had met up to the day of our wedding. The next couple of times I get married I am def booking DJ Murph and his team lol read more

I would have to say the BEST DJ ever! Brian did such an amazing job at our wedding over this weekend. He made sure the party was rolling and had the best music list any person can ask for. We loved how the lighting was setup through the whole hall not just on the dance floor. We also did the photo booth and that was beyond a big hit! And we loved that you can have unlimited copies because other companies don't give that option. For sure highly recommend for any event! read more

Brian was our DJ for a large (2000-3000) conference and he kept the dance moving ALL NIGHT. People's only complaint was that they couldn't take a break because all the songs were good! Super professional and very flexible. We had some hiccups along the way and he took them in stride and made them work. Can't recommend Brian enough. Any time someone is looking for a DJ, he will be the first and only person I mention. read more

The first thing that stood out to me about Brian was his interaction with the wedding party and guests! He is so friendly and engaging. He also plans out games and activities for the wedding reception which is awesome! Guests are interacting with one another not only at their tables but across the room. As the photographer for this wedding, this made for some hilarious images of guests laughing and grabbing salt shakers. Plus, he offers a photo-booth with emoji faces and trendy sayings and that also adds to the variety of images and the experience for guests. When the Bride wanted a song changed he was quick to incorporate her request without disturbing the party. He tailored the volume of the music to suit guests throughout and everyone could hear the speeches during the sweet toasts! I'm a very outgoing and friendly person but it's not always the case that the DJ is as well. I dedicate about 10 hours to a wedding, so when you have someone like Brian DJ'ing it makes for a super fun experience not only for the other service people but for all of the guests and wedding party. DJ Murph is professional, engaging and flexible with your requests. He will keep your dance floor poppin'! read more

My family has used DJ Murph for many events. One of those was my wedding reception. Brian will basically create such a fun and entertaining atmosphere your guests will not want the night to end. His energy and ability to gauge exactly the right moments to put exactly the right song on to get/keep everyone dancing is truly amazing. He really listens to what you want and will play whatever type of music you & your guests will enjoy. Anyone thinking of a DJ for an event need not look any further....DJ Murph is the #1 choice!! read more

Where do I begin?! We could have not asked for a better DJ for our wedding. DJ Murphy is hands down the best. Both my husband and I loved having him around, and Quincy! He had the guest on the dance floor in no time. The music was popping and our guests were dancing their booties off! The lighting was amazing and beautiful. The purples were gorgeous. The photo booth was a hit with all the guest, with many props to pick from. The photo booth picture template was designed by DJ Murphy and he would modify it to our liking. It turned out fabulous. He also suggested we play the wedding shoe game. The guest loved it. The room would fill with laughter. I loved every single moment of it. Not only were they professional but also personable. They felt like close friends instantly. Thank you Brian and Quincy for coming all the way to Truckee, CA. It was a blast having you both! read more

Brian completely deserves my five star review. Murphy's Bay Area DJ was completely professional through our entire process of planning music for my wedding. It also didn't hurt that they my have a photo booth as well as their DJ services, which my wedding guests absolutely loved. I had an aviation themed wedding and our venue was at an aviation museum. We had the ceremony outside in the courtyard near an active runway and then we had our reception inside the museum. At first when I was trying to find a DJ, I was really concerned about the DJ not having enough equipment for an outside ceremony next to a runway, where planes are taking off. However, Brian had all the equipment necessary for our guests to hear our ceremony, which made our aviation themed wedding much more authentic. I really appreciated that Brian played either exactly what I wanted to hear or music that was similar at my wedding. I am still getting compliments on how great the music selection was during the entire wedding from the ceremony to the reception. If you're in the Bay Area and you need a DJ and/or a photo booth, I highly recommend Murphy's Bay Area DJ!!! Thanks again Brian for a wonderful wedding. 8.18.18 -Mr. and Mrs. Bandy read more

We celebrated our 25th wedding renewal, Dj Murphy is one of the best in the business. He is very professional, has forms set up electronically so we can prepare as best as possible. He followed all requests, knows how to time party events and entertain a party. Keeps the dance floor going. When we were stressed he kept his cool and got the business done. We are super satisfied! read more

This was the best dj ever! He was so professional and so fun! He helped everyone come alive on the dance floor! The photo booth was so cool and everybody loved the props. Thank you so much for making a special day so great! read more

Amazing! That's all I can say! He went above & beyond to make sure everyone had a great time! He was patient with me throughout the whole process beforehand with getting the list of songs & my undecided self & me being a procrastinator. I only ended up giving him a list of maybe 10 or 11 songs & told him to play whatever he felt that was fun & good dancing music & it was fantastic! He was very interactive & was on the dance floor with everyone dancing. He even so kind, funny & all around a great DJ. Our 4 year old kept going up & trying to talk in the microphone & touch stuff & he was so nice letting him be a crazy outrageous 4 year old. Thank you so much for everything!!! read more

I can't say enough about DJ Brian, he kept me informed about what songs I needed to find and suggested songs that would be great to start the dance floor. He showed up early and had everything set up before guests arrived. All the music to the ceremony music, walking down the aisle, to walking into the reception and dancing was amazing and on point. He had kids from age 7 to the elderly on that dance floor dancing all night long. He's so approachable and kind that it was easy for my guests to not think he wasn't one of the guests as well. If you want one less worry and one sure thing then hire DJ Brian!!!! I don't have one complaint to say about him or his services. Bye he did are photo booth as well and before he even left handed me a SIM card with all the pictures that were taken that night that I got to view on my honeymoon the next morning! :) read more

Brian was absolutely amazing! Our wedding was on Sunday and it was everything I wanted it to be! Despite the intense wind, Brian was able to engage with our guests and keep the flow going! The songs that I had chosen played perfectly, and his choices to get people on the dance floor were spot on!! I only wish it wouldn't have been so cold and windy so people would have stayed and danced longer. The photo booth was a huge hit as well! Awesome props! And I got digital copies of all of the photos! Our wedding would not have been the same without DJ Murph! read more

DJ Murph was the best at our September 2018 wedding. He played the perfect music for the crowd and also honored our very specific song requests beginning with the ceremony. He also surprised us with the Newlywed Game, which was really fun and I'm so happy we did it! Our friends and family all had great things to say about the music all night. Also, the photo booth was a huge hit! DJ Murph has it all covered and our wedding was a total success thanks in huge part to Brian aka DJ Murph. read more

My wife and I can't stop talking about how perfect our wedding was. A big part of us having such a great time was Our DJ, Brian Murphy. What makes Murphy's Bay Area DJ service so great is Brian Murphy's dedication before the event; he spent time getting to know us and what we like, and better yet what we don't like. When the time came for our wedding Brian was on time setting up and asking if there was anything more he could do for us. During the reception Brain had a great feel for the room and kept the party going!! When our guest became tired from dancing so hard they got to enjoy the photo booth Brian provided! I highly recommend his services, you will not be disappointed. read more

Dj murph and his services were above and beyond what my wife and I asked for at our wedding. He kept everything rolling at all times. From introductions, good music, photo booth, guided speeches all the way to even creating a special photo presentation with music for our guests! I was more than impressed. He took situations into his own hands and found solutions to any issues that we were having with keeping the ball rolling. This was not part of his services, just somebody who has a passion for what he does. Brian Murphy thank you for making our wedding that much more beautiful. See you at our anniversary! read more

DJ Murphy DJ'd our nieces 18th Debut party and had the guests on their feet the entire night- young or old made no difference. I referred Brian for my friends wedding last weekend, I'd been other events he MC/ DJ'ed so I knew he was quality. As usual he did not disappoint! DJ Murphy was the highlight of our 8th grade graduation dance. From the music to the photo both .. the kids loved it all!! DJ Murphy was amazing at my wedding last night. I hired him to do the photo booth and I could not be happier. He was able to work with my budget and I am extremely grateful. It made my wedding so perfect. He went beyond his job of running the booth and did group picture with peoples phones as well as took a video of my bridal party entrance. I would highly recommend him for all your DJ and photo booth needs. Thank you so much DJ Murphy your the best! read more

All around AMAZING! Not only was he the perfect DJ, he got all our weird indie non traditional wedding music requests, he was able to add another set of speakers just days before, he kept everyone of all ages entertained and engaged the entire wedding AND he stepped up and did all the duties of our day of coordinator since she was a disaster. This was not something he had to do but instead did on his own to help us out. Above and beyond what was expected of him is putting it lightly! I would highly recommend him because not only is he a great DJ he keeps everything calm and flowing as it should without even asking! Thanks so much Brian you were a lifesaver! read more

DJ Murph is a true professional and he knows his stuff! We hired him for our wedding reception, with photo booth, and he was just great. He played games and got the crowd up and on their feet, he kept the excitement going, everyone had a great time and he was a big part of that. He checked with myself or my husband when he thought it was a good time for cake, bouquet toss etc and kept the evening on track while we had fun enjoying time with our guests. The photo booth was a HUGE hit, he had lots of props and everyone had a blast taking pictures and I loved the idea that people had a little something more meaningful to take home with them to remember our day than just some ordinary wedding favor that would undoubtedly end up in the trash. At the end of the night we got a CD full of all the photo booth pics, as well. Brian was so nice, he's personable and friendly and exactly the kind of DJ you want at your next important event! Thanks DJ Murph!! read more
