During my regular exam, Dr. Nayak provided education on the Icon infiltration treatment for spots on my teeth that have troubled me most of my life. After reading about the treatment, I decided to give it a try. I am extremely happy with the outcome! I have been going to this dentist over three years. Have had billing issues in the past and hard to get a hold of people there. Never been really satisfied with them, but just a pain to move myself and my kids. I'm in the process of moving myself and my kids to a new dentist due to longer wait times and the new dentist they brought in. The dentist before the one they have now was alright, but not great. The one they recently brought on is worse than the one before. Very rough on your mouth. The cost of my crown was 400 more than the crown I had with the previous dentist just 4 months before, it then took her over two hours to fit me for the crown and put a temp on. She would leave the room and come back 20-30 mins later, this went on for two hours. She then told her assist the color of my crown doesn't matter so just do any color. I've never had a dentist do this, ever! Then once the crown comes in and I go back to have it put on she puts it on and it's way too tight in the teeth. She told me it will loosen. It's been over two months and it constantly feels like I have something in my teeth due to the crown being too tight. I will not be back! Not recommended. I now hate coming to my appointments because of one of the assistants she said her name was Aria she always smells like she's been smoking an illegal substance and she's always rough and seeming like she's in a rush. I guarantee you they will lie and say you have "periodontal disease" and try to put you in an expensive plan you absolutely don't need. This place is a joke! They deserve zero stars. We went in just looking to get a crown in. They insisted we needed a full exam even though we just had one done at a different dentist. After explaining we just wanted the one tooth looked at they instead they needed x-rays for all of my teeth. We explained that we had multiple x-rays from before and after my root canal and everything they needed to know would be in the x-rays sent over. The doctor then said she couldnt see them clearly and need more. After explaining we were having more x-rays sent over she said she never even saw the x-rays and just needed to take her own. Not Covid friendly, I have been unable to resolve an outstanding bill for a few weeks they just keep saying someone will call me back, the bill is for a labs down which was not my case as only did cleaning. The bill they put together was extremely ridiculous with all fees that were not needed in there and the Manager said we can bill this as labs. Was told I have to get three crowns due to cracks in my teeth, which I went for a second opinion and was told I don't need to. The staff at Murphy Crossing Dental is friendly, but its practices are dishonest and very deceitful; as a result, my family & I will not be returning as customers. In November of 2015, My 82 year old mother who is on a fixed income with no dental insurance was taken in and given an overall inclusive estimate of $6,000.00 for extraction & prep work for removable dentures & future office visits that would include adjustments & alignments. After approximately 18 months of visits for adjustments & alignments the dentures split, and the staff said she had to pay to repair them; further, the staff started charging fees for the alignments and removal of bone spurs that were never removed. Needless to say, all of this work was initially included in the $6,000.00 already charged. Another concern is that, the Dentists in this office changed 3 times during the 18 months...STAY AWAY!!! read more

They won't just clean your teeth, they require a "deep cleaning" every time. My husband is convinced the hygenist cracked his tooth, requiring him to get a root canal. When I was out of work for 6 months, I went through the Affordable Care act to receive new insurance. When it was time for my next appointment, the front desk receptionist waited until I went into the office to tell me that they don't accept "Obama Care". I have been reassured by Humana and healthcare.gov that they accept my new insurance. The receptionist could have saved me the trip and told me over the phone, when she first took my new insurance information over the phone. As for not accepting "Obama Care"?! This place is a JOKE ! That being said, Went there to get 1 tooth extracted, It has been killing me with pain for a week. After a x-ray, The dentist (SHE) said well I don't see any infection but it looks to be cracked and swollen. I said, Doc just remove it and I will come back at a later date and get a implant in its place. The dentist then begins examining my teeth, Every one of them and is spewing out We need to do this with this one and this one needs this and on and on ! I said ,What about THE tooth that's infected and KILLING me with pain, She says well, I don't think its infected. Im going to REFER you to OUR ORAL SURGEON in ALLEN ......... WHAT ??????? Went here for several years and after moving and finding a new dentist, realized they're all about selling as much work as they can. The new dentist was appalled that he couldn't even get floss in between some teeth that had filings done by Murphy Crossing. My son always seemed to have several cavities and when I would ask how many were "wait and see" types (incipient lesions - didn't know what they were when we were going there), I was always told that none fell into that category. The last time my son went, he was told there was a cavity on a tooth that had already been filled a couple times and that he would need a very expensive crown. The new dentist said absolutely not - there's no reason the new dentist wouldn't take the money and do the work if he felt it actually needed to be done. Read up on incipient lesions if you insist on going here and know what to ask/look for before paying for an excessive amount of unnecessary work.
