This new restaurant is working hard to make a name and it is working! The food is delicious and distinctive, and the portions are huge. My parents said the potato croquettes were the best potato option they have ever had. Because of the pandemic, curb-side pick-up is the only option, but the food is worth the annoyance. Servers are great but the food isn't that good. I have been to this place when it was Robert Christian's and it was delicious, this place started out OK but I haven't had a meal I've liked and given them at least three tries. I kick myself every time someone suggests we go and I end up not liking whatever I get. Again, servers are wonderful but the food leaves a lot to be desired. read more

Wanted to really like the place based on the reviews, but they didn't make it easy. When we first arrived, the hostess said we couldn't be seated because we didn't have a reservation and they had a limited number of tables. When I asked her to check, there was indeed ample seating on the patio. We had a friendly server who was new, but generally got the job done. The food was generally decent--nothing outstanding, but well-priced. However, the biggest hiccup occurred when my wife and daughter were sharing a rice ball appetizer. My wife noticed something dark inside one of the balls. It was a two-inch black screw right in the middle. I pointed it out when I eventually got the server's attention and she took it back. While it was taken off the bill--at my initiative--and the server apologized, no manager or owner came by, though supposedly they were pretty sorry too, according to the server. This lack of attention to detail was also evident in the shrimp skillet ordered by my wife. The plate included shards of steak. So, either the cook couldn't be bothered to use a different spatula, or we were being provided with a dirty skillet, it's hard to ascertain. Bottom line: no excuses. These are things you have to get right. When so much business depends on visitors, you need repeat business to survive. Making sure hardware isn't in your appetizers would be a good start. read more

Not great, not horrible. Service was fantastic, food was bland. Would not rush out to go again, but wanted to patronage a local business. We started with French onion soup and chili. Soup was decent, chili was questionable. I had the shrimp quesadilla with spinach and tomatoes. The quesadilla was more like a cracker. He had the shrimp scampi hideaway. It was just ok. I haven't been treated so disrespectfully at a restaurant in my life. My wife and I were having lunch with our kids, 10 and 6 year old. We ordered food and drinks and because my wife did not have her ID, the waitress could not serve her a drink. So I ordered a drink for myself and my wife ordered water. Once I was almost finished with my drink I ordered another one. At that point the entire staff of the restaurant started watching us as if we were doing something wrong. My wife took one sip of my drink, and a second later another waitress ran up to our table and snatched the drink from the table without saying a word!! We were left perplexed of what just happened. Never in our lives have we been treated so disrespectfully. No explanation from the waitress, no explanation from the manager, just grabbed the glass and ran out. After pondering this for a few minutes we approached the restaurant manager who was aware of everything. Instead of offering an explanation or apology, she was just a jerk. After gracefully paying for the kids food they barely touched, we left right away. I realized that waitress was just doing her job, and it's fine. However, why did they orchestrate the whole event against us? Three different waitresses watching us, under manager's supervision?! Did they have an agenda against us? Was it a diversity issue, us not being locals or that we had an accent?! If there was another table of let's say three adults, where only one ordered an alcoholic drink and a friend took a sip, would you come and snatch the drink from their table without an explanation??? Obviously, we won't return, and we will make sure not to recommend this place to anyone at our lake community. read more

We were visiting at Big Boulder in the Pocono area and we got take out from this restaurant. Everyone was super friendly and helpful. All details were followed up on, nothing was missing. The food was amazing, especially the seafood options! I ordered the eggplant rollatini which was delicious. The kids loved their quesadilla and their mussels. Would recommend. read more

Where do I start. Got there on time for reservation waited 20 minutes for waitress to come to a table. Said she was on the phone taking to go orders why? Irish pub atmosphere no way felt like I was sitting in my high school cafeteria no placemats no tablecloth no utensils....finally got our salads still no utensils to eat with. One hour and three minutes later we got our food yay my chicken and my wife's fish died in vain. We were driving through town looking for a place to eat. My husband had the Cajun burger and loved it! I ordered wings, well done with 2 sauces on the side. I recommend mixing the honey garlic and Buffalo together. The wings were DELICIOUS they were crispy and tender inside. I am a wing fanatic and I would say they were by far on my top 5 list. Place is awesome...fourth time here this year when visiting the Poconos. Good burgers, fish and chips were good tonight. But the Buffalo Chicken Mac N Cheese which I had the first time I came here was unbelievably awesome.! Probably go back to that next time. Stopped in here for something to eat and a couple of drinks after golf a couple of weeks ago with my friends. I had been in and out of this place since they opened and always leave mad at myself. I had hopes that in time they would get better, but was wrong. The wait staff is great. The food however needs work. I have to say that I have never had dinner here (Only lunch) But was never happy with my meal. Last time my friends had cheese steaks and everyone of their rolls were old and fell apart from being stale. My burger was overcooked. Don't even get me started on the nachos. As soon as they came out I could smell sloppy joe. Yes. Sloppy joe meat was on the nachos. I may stop in for a drink now and then, but don't see myself eating here anytime soon. read more

We've been to this restaurant twice. It lived up to the poconos reputation of terrible food. Service both times was extremely slow. Our second experience was on a Sunday night, with a band so loud you couldn't hear your friends speak. Food was overcooked. Limited wine selection. Once on the outside deck, people and staff were lose with masks and how utensils are handled. You get one menu for 6 people, which made the ordering process unbearable. Both times we were there the food wasn't served at the same time. I had high hopes, but can't say I single good thing about this restaurant. read more

Only drawback is that they charge for ice tea per drink. Other non alcoholic beverages are free refills. The cost of the drinks almost matched our food order. We both had 2 drinks. The shrimp po boy wrap is really good. read more

Loved the place, great addition to the neighborhood...the staff was very friendly and the food was great. I had the shrimp with the scallops, over linguine it was delicious, I recommended. Bianka the hostess was so accommodating, to the needs of everyone in my party. If you get a chance, sit at the bar and have a few beers and a chat with Matt the bar tender, a nice young man. And if you get lucky you get a chance to sit with the old man Murphy! he'll tell you some great stories about Ireland. read more

I know we are in the midst of a pandemic..however is never understand why make a hot sandwhich like a chicken parm and put it on cold bread. Wouldnt it make sense to toast the bread? Such a simple sandwhich to mess up. Chicken cheese and sauce were all basic. Mac and cheese was basic..cheese sauce tasted like it was out of a can. And the chicken in the mac was definitely not fresh chicken. Mabey when the pandemic is over things will change. read more

Great food! We did curbside pickup for the first time yesterday (pandemic).We ordered the wing box- 30 wings. They were cooked perfectly and the sauce was hot but not "vinegary". It's so hard to find good wings, but we did! The calamari had delicious breading, not overcooked or greasy. Our children had the kids hamburger and chicken tenders. The portion size was large for both. I snuck a few bites of my son's burger and I will definitely be ordering my own next time. We're definitely making this our go to restaurant. We can't wait to be able to eat in. read more

Monday night is tough when it comes to choices to go out to dine. I knew when they didn't offer Sweet & Lo that I was in trouble lol. Seriously, though, mozzarella wedges were good, veal and chicken parmigiana were average. The penne was not fresh pasta covered in sauce, it was noodles soaked in sauce but were dry. The bottled Blue Moon was yummy but note to any waiters and waitresses out there... IF your bartender or you pick a piece of limp orange rind you might expect only a 15% tip. The dining room was super bright, cold and with no ambiance. They need to hire the person who designs the decor at the Powerhouse Eatery in White Haven. Very loud, which it has always been, from bar and dining room because bad acoustics. Overall another place I think I'll add to my ever growing black list. If they do some simple minor things, I think they might have a fighting chance to continue to reap those out of towners money. read more
