Documentation could be better start date should be contract, charges sould be documented to show total costs/any discounts/permit fees/membership fees and clarification of other then 10 year warrenty. They do not sign the contract a written signature should be on contract. Not cross out see whats enclsoed to support my concerns, Company does not send anything in e-mail like receipts and fully itemized bill. I had to ask for certains things. The company boasts over 40 years service but incident reports or I should say mine I was not satisfied. Otherwise workmanship was good. I am retired Govt contracts person and just look for a properly executed document. When I asked tech for written signature he wrote his name on top paper??? No where on incident report as they call see. Thus my rating of GOOD.

I used Lowry four months ago - very positive result. This past week I had a sump pump failure…read moreduring the Nor'easter. I called for emergency service. The agent on the phone was polite and helpful. I had a plumber at my house within 2 hours, which was a relief because I had already bailed/vacuumed out about 50 gallons of water (I have a total of four pumps - 2 submersible, two pedestal backups - lots of water). Alex, the technician, got the sump pump working again but I decided to replace it due to its age. Lowry has a price book so there's no making up the price. Also, I checked everything about the quote online to verify I'm not getting suckered. Alex did a great job working in close quarters. He used a spare pump to keep the water down while he worked. He left the work area very clean and wore shoe covers in the house.

Excellent Service! We knew our furnace and AC were on their last legs, so obtained quotes from…read morethree local companies to replace them. The quotes were several thousand dollars apart. IT Landes were not only the cheapest, but we also felt the most comfortable with their sales person ("project estimator"), Frank. He was not at all pushy, the pricing was straightforward and well explained. Fast forward 1.5 years, one AC repair and the furnace suddenly died in the middle of winter. Frank was back out the day we called. No surcharge for emergency service, no deposit required, and the new quote was actually a few bucks less than previously. Installation was scheduled for 2 days time, so Frank brought us two portable space heaters to keep us warm in the meantime! The installation team did a great job, (mostly) kept the rest of the house clean, and the finished job looks very tidy and professional. Best of all the new HVAC is quiet, efficient and the house is very comfortable. One note: I wouldn't recommend going with the Carrier-branded thermostat that Landes recommended. It doesn't get good reviews online and there are plenty of other better ones out there. We chose the Ecobee 3, but there is also the Nest and others from Honeywell.

A technician came to…read morecheck our dishwasher, was at the house for only a couple of minutes, and we were still charged the full diagnostic fee. I completely understand there are costs associated with travel and expertise, but I expected our membership to provide more value or some reduction in situations like this. As it stands, it's hard to see the benefit of being part of the program.
