If you like to just throw your money away then I guess it's for you. All they do is run tap water through ordinary reverse osmosis equipment and use a fish tank air pump to add what they call "oxygen." The water taste no different than store brand bottled water. The Vice President Tony P. Is a flat out con artist who will take you for an idiot and talk you into buying thousands of dollars worth of equipment when he knows very well it's a scam. That was not our experience with Anacapa Plumbing when we needed to replace our two 15 year old "on-demand" water heaters. Anacapa was immediately responsive, pleasant to deal with, and quickly gave us an acceptable quote. Then, after ordering the units (which took a few days understandably) , they did a great job installing them in less than a day. We can't talk about pricing because we were so frustrated by other contractors not even returning our calls and by the one who ripped us off (Goodland Plumbing by demanding a $150 up front payment for a quote and then never getting back to us with a quote), in the end, we were not in a position to seek out competitive pricing - tired of cold showers. Now, everything is working well - Anacapa was very professional, with friendly informative plumbers, who did a great job and cleaned up after themselves. We definitely recommend them.

We called one company and was told the softener was no longer softening our water and we would have to spend $6000 to replace it. We were very surprised, so we called Augies Water Systems, the name and phone number that we found on the water softener. A technician came out and looked at our existing units. His conclusion was that the water softener was indeed softening water. He replaced a few items for around $30.00 and a service fee and suggested we have the units checked annually. He was on time and quite thorough with his visit. We were so impressed and lucky we had called this company. I would highly recommend Augies Water Systems. I wish all companies were as competent and honest as they are. I have no misgivings who I would use for the maintenance of my unit in the future!!! Sherrie Anderson

Visited this location to fill up some 5 gallon bottles on the way home from evacuating from a fire…read moreseveral weeks ago. It's set up like my local "water store" except more spacious and a plentiful inventory of bottles of various gallon capacities. Also, they have self serve spigots of different types of water; reverse osmosis water, alkaline water, and distilled water. The attendant was also very nice and attentive, ready to help or answer questions from anyone in the store. Lastly something to note, while they have dispensers of RO and distilled water outside for off hours water bottling filling. They don't have an option for credit card payment. I feel spoiled saying this but my water store's outside dispensers has a credit reader in addition to taking bills and coins. That said, that's the case with all water dispenser kiosks next to grocery stores in my area. So perhaps my local "water store" is equipped in that way as a matter of (business) survival/competition. It's fine if you're accustomed to having change or cash and if one refills during business hours you're good. I would certainly recommend this location to anyone wanting high quality water.
