This company is terrible. Their equipment is constantly failing. My video doorbell camera isn't working and hasn't been for some time. Every time I try and get a hold of someone I get a voicemail. I've never received a call back. I've also accidentally tripped my security system before, and each time I never received a call to make sure we're ok. It's disturbing and I don't feel that for $61 a month, we're protected the way we should be. When I tried to cancel I was put on the phone with a woman who kept talking over me and dismissing my concerns. I would highly recommend not going with this company. I think the reviews speak for themselves. Find a company that is reliable and whose customer service is kind and responsive. read more

I think the best measure of a business and it's team is that they will do something above and beyond the ordinary to please a customer; that has been my experience with multi-link. They didn't have to help me with a difficult situation, but they did. read more

Couldn't agree more with the previous ratings. Like them, we used multi-link for mounting several tvs on a new construction home. The techs who performed the installation were very short and to the point. They left all the wires showing instead of running the wiring behind the drywall. They were also very rude. We ended up having to get another person to hide the wires. Would not recommend this company to anyone. read more

I had a new home built and got stuck using this company for low voltage work and as a monitoring company for the security system they installed. I ended up with my main Ethernet ports, phone jack, and coaxial inside of a desk cabinet with no way out for cables. I had to hire an electrician to come out to fix it as Multi-Link just said they did what I asked and wasn't responsible. Fair enough, maybe I did ask for it that way. I don't remember, but wouldn't a competent salesperson have pointed out that idiocy of that to me when I asked for it? We were standing in a partially built house at the time, so it's not like we aren't looking at the literal spot for the installation. They also did the installation of the HDMI wall plate for mounting a TV above the fireplace. They used sub-par materials and, as such, 4K and HDR would not function properly when using the wall plate. I also had to have that torn up and redone with a different cable/plate set-up. It's much more expensive to have done after the house is finished, by the way. That was fun. Lastly, my alarm system had several false alarms. It brought the police out twice to the house in the middle of the night. Any concerns directed to Multi-Link were forwarded to Alarm.com. So once again, they took little interest in anything they did not working properly. I can't remember what ultimately happened with that, but the alarm panels were out of sync or something from a software standpoint. Alarm.com, who directly receives not a single dime from me, was more of a help than the company that I pay monthly. One thing is for sure: they do actually work to get your money. I had to pay for all the alarm hardware and low voltage installations ahead of time. Then I had to sign a three-year (!) service contract. I cancelled after 2 years to use a new monitoring company and their attempts to collect the rest of my contract were 10x more vigorous than any attempt to actually help me ever was. I doubt this company would be in business if they weren't partnered up with McBride for new home construction. Or maybe they'd actually be better if they had to earn business rather than people just being forced onto them. Who knows. Good riddance, though. read more

I posted a Google review as well because perhaps I can help some other unsuspecting person in the future who is doing their homework (which I should have done!). This company was subcontracted through McBride homes to do the low voltage work (cable, phones, ethernet, etc). Long story short, nothing was correct. They left wires dangling all over my basement, boxes in the wrong spots, used absolutely SHODDY installation techniques (metal staples on sensitive wiring), speaker wires dangling from unterminated boxes, and the list goes on... To top that off they had the audacity to actually try to charge me additional dollars for their poor craftsmanship. Do yourself a favor and hire a REPUTABLE, ACCOUNTABLE, TRUSTWORTHY local installer who appreciates your business and understands what it takes to earn your repeat business in today's customer-centric world. read more

I want to provide major kudos for a Multi-Link Security employee, Melissa Molina! She coordinated troubleshooting and problem resolution with me on a conference call with a third party security company and did such a professional job with remote technical support......I am truly amazed! She not only did a great job of facilitation of the conference call but also wrapped the call up by reviewing everything that the third party rep did to attempt to resolve the problem. When we were not able to get things fixed initially, she took it upon herself to proactively follow up on the issue wit another rep in the San Antonio office and called me the following day to confirm a successful solution. The world needs MANY MORE people like her who demonstrated exemplary customer service skills! I am a demanding customer but I also like to give praise and merit when it is due......and it is truly due in my situation! THANKS AGAIN Melissa! read more

During the construction of my home, Mark was great. After that was down hill.... alarm went off several times and they did not respond in any way. Also, Tim Ritter is one of the rudest people you will ever meet. After I sold my home, he said he would turn me into collections if I didn't pay the rest of the contract. I no longer owned the home and that was the only reason I broke the contract. He said, payup or you will go to collections and it will cost you even more. Biggest jerk you will ever do business with and I suggest you stay clear. read more
