After my husband and I have been shopping all day, we decided we needed a beer and wings. We decide mulligans since our friends go. We sat at a table that was dirty but understood the previous customers just left and the waitress, Rochelle, came and cleared it off... a guy was helping her, I didn't catch his name. She brought our beer and disappeared, we sat there awhile , waiting to order wings, fries, zucchini.... no one.... another customer comes in.... they are waited on before us.... And we waited... Stopped in for lunch today. I'm giving 2 stars because the burger was good. Let me start by saying the bread is basically the only thing this restaurant has going for them...and that's from Viro ‍ My son ordered the philly cheesesteak. I was honestly shocked when the server brought it to the table. For $14 that should have been one hell of a Philly cheesesteak. It was not. It was an 8" cheesesteak and wasn't very beefy. The fries are sugar fries basically out of a bag. Definitely NOT a $14 lunch. The ranch isn't even very good. Soda was good. The kids meal was a good value at $5 including a drink but i really left feeling almost ripped off. For $60 for lunch I guess i just expect better quality to be honest. Great little Eastside gem! Love the new owners/management. Location is convenient with plenty of parking. Parking area is well lit, safe and across the street from the local police station. Bar and seating area is clean and well laid out. Servers/bar tenders are happy, friendly and knowledgable of their drink menu. Even if its not on their menu, they'll make it happen! Foid is always served hot, fresh and well plated. Great location for lunch and small lunch meetings. Great sports feel and laid back vibe. If I could I would give 0 stars. The place was recommended to me that their food was delicious me and my boyfriend arrived at the door The lady yelled at us "you can sit where you want" and everybody turned their heads to look at us so we headed out back to a flooded run down crappy patio. We sat there and waited for 25 minutes with the sprinklers dripping down on our table and our server didn't even come out yet to get drinks, welcome us or anything. After waiting for 30 minutes we walked back inside and there were 2 waiters sitting around talking to each other. Laughing. Please get better staff. In Tucson to visit my dad, and my friends took me to this nice little gem of a bar on the SE side. It's got a typical sports bar vibe, but the food is a step up from the usual chicken fingers and other deep fried fare. I had a deliciously tender steak (hanger I think) frites with a green peppercorn sauce, with a wedge salad--which had just the right amount of green chile--as a start. They've got at least 10 screens and seats for about 50 fans, so you're covered for sports viewing, for good food, and 22 oz beers. Stop in and treat yourself! read more

Went there with a friend to grab some bar food and b.s. I had never heard of it and didn't even realize it was there even though I've driven by it for years. I ordered buffalo styled wings, extra crunchy, fries and a drink. The waitress was a little slow (incredibly friendly though), had to ask for a refill on my drink and she forgot my fries, but the wings were fantastic. When we got our bill, she had never added the fries so no issues getting them taken off the bill since she never brought them. Being a sports bar, there are TV's on all walls and angles so you can watch a game no matter which side of the table/booth you are sitting on. At the end of the day, it's a bar. I personally do not expect perfection from bar food. I was pleasantly surprised how delicious the wings were. The wings were pretty damn good and I will be going back. I've been to Mulligan's twice now and every time, order something that I can make sure sweet potato fries are added to! Now, this place is not for fine dining. Yes, it's a bit run down looking, but it IS a bar. With that said, I've never had a problem there and the service is friendly and fast. There is a bar area which is separated from the main eating area, and the area with the pool tables, by a half wall. There are TVs set all throughout the dining area and the bar. Every time I've gone there have been several different games going at once. The atmosphere can be a little loud at times, but I had not problems being heard or hearing my b/f. Again, I point out this IS a bar, so take that into account. I've never been there much past 8 as we normally go for dinner. So I'm assuming the later it gets, the louder it gets. The first time there I ordered the blue cheese burger (I can't remember the specific name) and the last time I was there, I ordered the fish and chips. Each time, as I said before, I've ordered the sweet potato fries because they are some of the best ones I've had. They come out hot and fresh and are just plain good. The blue cheese burger is delicious too. Nothing outstanding about the fish, just the same ol' fish you'd get anywhere, but the pieces were pretty big. Back to the burger...it was huge! The meat was thick and juicy and I had more than enough to cut in half and take half home with me for a late night snack. I'm bound and determined to try their pizza next time, as I've heard good things. Rest assured I will be getting a side order of sweet potato fries though! read more

This place is great to stop in for a beer or a quick bite, the bartenders are always courteous and work diligently on nights its busy. The main reason behind this review not being 5 stars is food consistency, usually is good had a lot of the menu they have some unique wing flavors that are great, a few of the burgers/salads on the menu which have been better on certain visits then others. Best part about this place is the just chill vibe cold beer and pool tables in the back while catching a game. Shocker: this place is not a dive! It is nice inside but the real star is the bartender who was working yesterday mid-afternoon (I apologize for not getting your name) and the food was really good, too. We needed a drink while we discussed making a LARGE purchase for our home down the street and decided to go someplace close (like, just on the corner) and I'm glad we took the plunge and went inside. The bartender directed us to any of the many tables which are separated from the actual bar and pool table with short walls, so it makes it nicer. After we sat down, she left the bar which looked like it was nearly filled with many regulars and brought us the food menu and took our beer orders. Wings...wow, do they have the sauces! We decided on a mix of Cajun spice rub (yum!) and a Ghost pepper sauced set. She warned us of the heat but said they were both her #1 and #2 favorites. They were both delicious and not too hot but you have to watch the heat build up with Ghost pepper. Good thing I ordered another beer! We also ordered Potato skins which were stuffed with melted cheese and the works and really hit that mid afternoon munchie spot. I was really impressed she would leave the nearly full bar and come over to see how everything was and take her time and talk with us. Did I mention we were the only people in the dining part? Yes, that is service that make you feel special. Being a sports bar, there are TV's all around but a mix of music is heard overhead. Could be the neighborhood place for Golden State Warriors games? This place used to have a weird layout with the elevated booths, but the food was always delicious at a good price. In the last couple times we've been there, the menu has been cut down (which they needed) but the food quality has gone down and the prices have gone up. i love this local spot. there's always a table. The staff is friendly and approachable. The menu is large. and the food is great. this visit we had potato skins to start. They were fluffy, filled with yumminess and seemed very fresh. a lot of times they can be dried out and sad at other places, but their's are really tasty! and large - i don't think we even finished all 5/6 because we knew we were having dinner showing up soon. I got their BBQ cheddar burger. They cook to order. I got medium and that's exactly how it came out. and I got onion rings (no upcharge) and they were so good! I'd even guess they were made there - the onion seemed fresh and the batter was perfect - not too thick and not too greasy. my friend got their grilled chicken sandwich with sweet potato fries and was really happy with hers. waitress was perfect - came around when needed; didn't come around too much. got everyone's orders right - made sure everyone's sodas were filled. read more

I CRAVE the Carolina Buffalo wings there. They are delicious. I'm not a burger person, but people I go with love them. Any of the items on the appetizer menu are good except the nachos. They just aren't the greatest. The bartenders do double duty during the day especially on the weekends. When Jeanie is on, life is good. When she isn't, it can be frustrating to say the least. Can't say enough about the food at Mulligans. Earl (spelling) puts out some of the best food in town. Prime rib on Thursdays was better the 5 star restaurants. One of the best fish and chips in town. Me and my wife come in almost every Friday. We have had a couple bad experiences with your servers so we started to sit at the bar when we don't have the kids with us and we have loved it. We have gotten used to Kylie and the taknee and have always gotten great service but the last two Friday's have been different. We are pretty patient and easy going but there has been a new guy these past Fridays and his service was not great. He pretty much ignored us while standing right in front of us doing dishes. He messed up our food order and Kylie noticed in time thank goodness. Like I said after our first drinks he would stand in front of us while our glasses were empty and not even seem to care and when we asked for refills he seemed irraitated by the request, we found it very rude. Needless to say we were happy Kylie was there she took good care of us and we appreciated it. We will be back to see her again. As for him not so much. Thanks. read more

We went to Mulligan's on Saint Patrick's Day and it was really busy. They had a live band set up outside, and the cover was five bucks. The band was quite good actually, but they played southern rock and not Irish music as one would expect on St. Patty's. Unfortunately, they seemed a bit understaffed, and it took a while to get drinks at the bar. They had reassigned the indoor bathrooms to be women only and had some Porta potties for the guys outside. They also had Irish food, but I didn't have any so I can't speak for the quality. People seemed impatient about getting their drinks in a timely manner. Okay people. Mulligans has been here for awhile, It was always the corner dive bar that as long as the sun was up you could take your kids too. In the past the food was a crap shoot, it really depended on who was cooking. You could get food that ranged from something found in the La Brea tar pits, to something that resembled shoe leather. Not the good kind of shoe leather, that had been oiled and cared for, but the other kind... the kind covered in old cow shit that you can't quite get off. And then miracle of miracles. The clouds parted, I am sure there was a chorus of angels singing hallelujah, the location was sold to C.J. Hamm and his partners. (This is a small area, and it seems like everyone in Tucon knows everyone else, I however have only seen him at a distance) But I digress. You dear reader are certainly more interested in the heart of this review, the all important 4 corners of any good restaurant and bar. The food, the drinks, the atmosphere, and entertainment. Well, wait no longer friends.... here we go. Let's start at the easiest to explain first. The entertainment. There are 8 large televisions, befitting the sports bar that it still is. You can be anywhere and see at least one tv. Plus there are 3 additional tv's outside on the patio. There is of course a juke box for your listening pleasure, or if you were planning on being an ass hole you could make it play Rush's 2112 in its entirety, just get ready to be chased out. Because, why would anyone do that!?!?! Sorry, old bar tending scars. Moving On! The atmosphere. They repainted the walls, no more deep morgue green, and deeply tinted windows. Walls are now red and grey, not institutional grey! And they took down the blackout tint. The over all feeling is one of space and warmth. The drinks. The carry a nice selection of on tap beers, and a very nice selection of top shelf liquors. Do yourself a favor, and try their signature drink. The trashcan. It's REALLY good. And now, my dear readers and friends, the finishing component. The food. For the love of God, the food. Sweet weeping baby Jesus. The wings are some of the best in the city. Perfect size, perfect cook, and perfect sauce! They have a list of 20 to choose from. Everything from sweet to holy shit I think my ass is going to catch flame tomorrow. It's a good thing they sell ice cream. I recommend The one called t-town, it is precariously balanced between a sweet barbeque and crying for ice cream. It creeps up on you like Jason in his hockey mask, except you are afraid to crap your pants... Because, well, chili doesn't digest and you just know you will regret it tomorrow. But they taste so damn good you can't . Stop. Eating. Them. The burgers are thick and juicy, with amazing flavor and the perfect amount of mess factor. Make sure you have at least 2 napkins. But then, against all odds there is the ultimate reason to come here. The chicken strips and the French fries. The French fries are dusted in a light coating of... I can only assume that it is crack, because I can't stop eating the damn things. Combine the crack coated french fries with your choice of 12 different dipping sauces. And all of a sudden you are gripped by at least 3 of the seven deadly sins. Trust me, try the bacon gravy dipping sauce. You may need a bib for the drool, but I am beyond feeling shame for my love of this sauce. I want to be swimming in a coffin full at my funeral. Then you have the chicken strips. I can only imaging the sorting que to determine which chicken is good enough to be one of the chefs strips. Super juicy, and leaping gladly from the crack dredge to the deep fryer. Knowing that it is sacrificing itself for not just the greater good, but for the advancement of chicken tenders everywhere. You know you are eating them right if you resemble Gollum, screaming "IT IS MY PRECIOUSSSSSS!' Do yourself a favor. Come try this place, even if only to try a crack French fry. They are better than Pringles,. Because I know you can't eat just one. read more

This bar is the worst bar i have ever been to. Horrible customer service!!!! Never go there, you will be disappointed. They trick you with specials on shots which are watered down and less than half a shot glass full. As a new resident of Tucson, i went there thinking i could make friends. I only experienced gross, rude, stuck-up people. I even heard the bar tender, who sucked, talking crap on customers while we were there , waiting endlessly to be served.
