We were met underground by the two lovely owners who are very passionate about creating a fine dining experience that did not disappoint in any aspect. (Recommended to call and reserve for others reading this). A pianist played softly for the duration of our meal, and it appears other musicians occasionally set up as well to encourage the relaxed vibe. The food left nothing to be desired - crispy salmon and brussels cooked to perfection. We finished with a homemade chocolate mousse that somehow we also finished every bite of. It appears they also attract high quality clientele as our meal was silently paid for by a lovely couple nearby, who were there for their 41st anniversary - thank you if you are that couple reading! This place will remain special for us and we will certainly return to reminisce in the years to come.

Our hostess (one of the owners) gave us a brief history of the building, which was once a pharmacy, hence the name "Elixer". We were seated at a cozy table with low lighting & linen tablecloths. I can't begin to explain how gorgeous this room was--- dark & inviting, with red brick walls & a nicely decorated full bar, a very cozy environment. Our waitress Heather was very welcoming, attentive & most accommodating throughout our meal. We ordered cocktails & steaks for dinner. My filet was flavorful & nicely plated. My husband had a ribeye & charred brussel sprouts, & we shared vanilla infused creme brulee for dessert. We took our time & had a great evening. It felt like we went back in time. If I am ever in Angola in the future I will be sure to return to this lovely & unique restaurant. Thank you to all the waitstaff, the chef & the owners, who helped make our evening unforgettable.

A great place if you like being talked down to by staff, dancing on a sticky dance floor, and squeezing past sloppy drunk people who should not still be drinking. But if thats not your speed, save yourself some time and money by avoiding this place entirely.
