Don't go here if you expect fine dining. It is not that! What it is, is a tremendous value! You get the same sort of sensation as when you go to the dollar store for the first time and ask, "This is only $1?" Yeah, its like that. I got a steak with rice pilaf. It wasn't Morton's, but it was good. I would have cheerfully paid twice as much for what I got. Our table also go buffalo chicken tenders with fries. Also very good. Not the fried chicken fingers/tenders you get everywhere else, but a split chicken breast, grilled with buffalo sauce. If you want to satisfy that steak craving and not feel guilty about busting the bank, go. Also, the service was great. Great place to go, it's an Irish Pub, but this place has amazing food that is inexpensive. If you like prime rib steak, you should check them out!! It's big inside with pool tables. My only complaint is that ir can get a little loud there, I think the sounds kinda echo. read more

Last several times included: no appetizers before the entree, then not as was ordered w/gp and onions, then not sautéed; Ordered another meal, well done, came out nearly raw, had to wait while person was with had to wait. From the moment we stepped in my party and I were met with an unbelievable amount of unprofessionalism. Maybe my standards were too high for a pub known for cheap plates, but within minutes of entering the "hostess" complained about our presence. She dismissed us, no offering of even a simple greeting and paced around looking lost. It took 15 minutes before she even spoke to us, only to let us know the kitchen was too slammed to have anyone sit. The lack of professionalism was unsettling, and my party and I decided to leave to find a restaurant that at least informed patrons of a long wait rather than avoiding them. I wouldn't be so upset about our experience if I noticed the floor was understaffed, however, I saw a large amount of employees standing in a back hallway chatting about their personal lives and avoiding customers, just like their hostess. I'm unable to attest to the quality of the food, but based on my little employee interaction, I can't imagine I would have left satisfied. read more

Mulligan's is awesome. I've had just about everything on the menu in the past 5 years and its all good. Not even a get what you pay for situation, because what you get is way better than what you pay. This place gets packed and waiting is an issue.. only downfall but that means the place is popular. All menu items are under 5 bucks, amazing. 12 ounce steaks for 4.99. The chicken fingers are awesome and remind me of mark's in wellesley, ma. In the fall I can get a 16oz Shipyard pumpkin beer on tap for 2.75, sweet... boston costs over 5 bucks. Awesome place to try if passing through or visiting souther maine for the weekend. Forget those pricy yuppy places in Kennebunkport, drive 6 miles north on rt 1 and enjoy the local flavor. read more

This place is awesome! The food (which isn't really great but really good) is freakishly cheap. My and my friend were cracking up at the prices. The ribs fall of the bone and the Caesar salad is really good. The atmosphere is great for a friendly bar and grille place. DEFINITLY recommend for a quick and CHEAP bite. read more

You can't beat the price at Mulligans but the food was about worth what you pay. I got the prime rib on the wednesday prime rib special night and I have honestly, with the dozens of prime rib meals I have ever eaten, never eaten anything like this. This was not from a cow. The consistency of the meat was like a wild game animal. Moose, elk, tribesman, I don't know. It was tender but had a crispy bite. It was darker than normal prime rib and stringier. The true taste of this meat was overpowered with salt. I also had the shrimp cocktail which had 8 small shrimp. It was good but nothing great. I can't complain too much because of the price, I would most likely go back for something different. Probably stick to a chicken dish. read more

I love Mulligan's! This place is so unbelievably cheap it's, well...unbelievable. I had two full lunches, clam cakes (delish!) and a turkey club. The turkey club was fine, nothing great, nothing wrong with it either. Friends from work had, nachos, chicken tenders, buffalo tenders, club sandwich, steak and cheese and something else. All these things appeared fine and the chicken tenders, which I tried, were fine. You get what you pay for here, but it is in now way shape or form bad. They explain on their menu how they can keep their prices so low, one way is they don't give refills. But that's a small price to pay for two lunch platters for $7. I think most, if not all lunches are under $5! I like it 'cuz they're not too full of themselves and very easy going. The waitress actually gave me a free refill since we had to wait longer than usual, which was nice! Great local place, not likely to find tourists there. read more

Stopped by for lunch on way to RI. Had been here once before and enjoyed the experience. As everyone knows the food on the menu is under $5.00!! I ordered the haddock sandwich from a very pleasant waitress. You only got fries or cole slaw not both. But for those prices you got the slaw for .75 more. Enjoyed my lunch! We arrived after the lunch crowd so parking no problem. We have also got much worse food that we paid a lot more for in other places. We never got beyond the wait and will never go back again even though my elderly parents enjoyed it in the past...after 45 minutes of waiting with four young children and two senior citizens without staff speaking to us other then to seat everyone behind us- awful business move to not even give us an update or offer seating alternatives- we saw many large parties who had already eaten and still no timeframe for seating us except for when one of the young people seating patrons told us we couldn't all squeeze into a booth in a rude tone. read more

We've been going here for years. And there is no place else where we can find a good, no a great meal for 5 dollars or less! Their hamburger is fantastic , its big, tasty and less then five dollars . I've tried their meatloaf, mash potatoes with a veg. It was 3.79 at the time. Awesome. Mulligans is very clean, with plenty of tables and booths, but if its lunch time, get their early. It does not look like much from the outside, but we continue to go here again and again. It has become our default place to go out when we cannot think of anywhere to go. Or we go here when we want to go out but do not have a bunch of money to spend (very reasonably priced here). Everything here is under $5 for a whole meal - so you can pretty much have anything you want. The food is 3-4 stars, the service is 4-5 stars , and the price is 6 stars ! Avg is 4 stars. I had heard about Mulligan's and it's super cheap prices from my sister, who lives in Maine, so we stopped in and had dinner before i had to head back to Colorado. I liked it as soon as I walked in the door! We all had some free popcorn, and I got to play some free pool with my brother-in-law while waiting for our delicious meal! Our waitress was super nice and she came over so i could have a picture taken with her before we left. An added bonus! All in all, it was a great experience. we ate here last sunday. place is clean..service was very good. let me just an...this is an upscale dinner....and the food is just that dinner food. the portions were huge. the prices fantastic. if u have a troop of kids here is the place to go...they will love it. the most expensive kids menu item is...now get this...only $3.99...with the menu starting at $2.99...not a mistake...the adult menu...nothing above $4.99..yep four dollars and ninety nine cents. i had the chicken cordon blue..huge fresh fried boneless chicken breast..large slice of ham...french onion soup and a side of pasta. we split a loaded tater skin plate...she had pull pork w/ fries( she said pork was maybe off or not to her liking) we also had strawberry short cake..loads of fresh fruit and syrup..was very good...i had carrot cake..strong vanilla taste..but also very good hot food was hot..cold food cold..service was very good....with soft drink and ice tea...the bill came to only $30.85. so although not 5 star...this is a place laid back..good quality food to fill u up..and if u only have a ten spot...way way better then a big mac or slice of pizza...you will not walk away with an empty belly or like wise wallet...a good place read more

they genuinely don't know what mac and cheese is. they make it the exact same way they make their nachos--cheese on top of the pasta. not mixed, but on top! and it was hardened! there was even a tortilla chip in my pasta! and it was all swimming in several inches of grease. literally disgusting. one extra star because at least it was dirt cheap and the fries were edible. read more
