When a salesperson asks for your keys so that he can appraise your car, you don't necessarily expect them to drive away with it. If you have to be in the car with me when I test drive your car, the same courtesy should apply in the opposite situation. Besides that, my salesperson had no basic knowledge of the options available on the car I was looking at- all of which I was able to find in the book myself. They should concentrate on general education rather than just the hard sell. read more

Probably the worst service center I have every dealt with in over 30 years. Do not even consider bringing your car to Muller Toyota - even for warranty work! Apparently I need my airbags replaced per a nationwide recall for my 2003 Sequoia. Have been getting email and letter reminders from Toyota to get this done for safety reasons. Twice I have booked appointments directly with Muller Toyota Service and explained that I want to wait for the car to be serviced so I requested an early day appointment and a firm confirmation that a mechanic will be there to work on the car when I arrive and not have me just sit there for hours. On the first confirmed date several months ago, just as I was leaving the house, Muller calls and informs me that of the only two trained service specialists for this job that they apparently have on staff, neither was their that day. This after I had cancelled or moved all of my own business appointments for the day already. A few months go by and I innocently try again. Today, after making it very clear to Muller when I booked the appointment that I wanted to wait for the car and that my prior experience at arranging this was disappointing at best, I arrived at Muller Service at 8am. This time the service manager "Jeff" that met me acted surprised that I wanted to wait. Informs me that there is already a car ahead of me. Could not confirm even when the work would begin on the car and really didn't have any answers to why this was messed up yet a second time. He seemed more interested in checking my tire treads, commenting on the sound of my engine, getting me to agree to a 40 point inspection sheet and everything OTHER than what I booked the appointment to have addressed. Incredibly poor customer attention - I can only assume his manager(s) are aware of and directing this behavior. So I clearly left with my truck, again with defective airbags, once again. Another day of my own cancelled and rescheduled business appointments. Muller Toyota Service is a disaster - do not under any circumstances frequent this business. What happened to the Muller Toyota service center we used to deal with?? We brought our car in for rear brakes and was quoted a price that we felt was too high. Our salesman offered to see what he could do and came back with a lot of talk about what he could charge us for each item. It was very confusing and when I asked for the total, it was only less the amount of the item I said I would put off for another time. How could I trust them now? I took my car to another reputable large repair shop I have used in the past only when Muller did not have an available appointment. Their price was over $200 less. On another note, when I originally called for the appointment I was told there were no Saturday appointments left for the reminder of 2016 an later told that was not true. We bought our last 5 cars at Muller. Too many of the reasons We always went there for service have disappeared. I don't think they want our relationship to continue. read more

I bought a car from Jon Meredith. I do write reviews often, both good and bad. It is my opinion on how I feel, how I was treated. This is the Second car I brought from Jon Meredith. I am happy with the purchase. I have recommended Jon to family and friends and will continue to do so. The car I bought is a Certified 2013 Toyota Corolla LE. So far so good. I was a little disappointed I didn't get a full tank of gas and a voucher for a free oil change. That is the only reason for a 4 star rating instead of 5 star. We've always bought our Toyota's here for the past 25 years. I have a 4 runner with low milage. I took this car into Muller's about a squeeky 'something' in the front end. They took the car away to another place and left me sitting there. After a few hours the car is returned and I was told that every rubber grommet was worn including the motor and transmission mounts. They told me to get rid of the car. So, I took This Car to a local mechanic. He replaced the upper & lower control arm bushing - for $67. I am still driving this 4-runner after 5 years with absolutely no problems. We won't go back there even for a dead windshield wiper blade. Sorry guys. read more

We've leased 4 or 5 cars from Muller over the years - but we will NEVER go back again. We leased a Camry from them & it was totaled in an accident in a few months. Toyota itself was wonderful, contacted us to see if they could help in any way, etc. Initially Muller was helpful in providing info on the car that was totaled & of course we went back there for the replacement. We decided to upgrade to the Avalon & they decided to try to rip us off. Lou Levinson was the salesman at Muller, Carl was the Finance Mgr. Both should be fired. They actually told me they were giving it to us at sticker & not making a thing on the deal. We left not coming to the terms we wanted, went to MILHAM TOYOTA in Easton, PA & they gave us the exact same car under the exact same terms for $125 LESS PER MONTH! First time my husband hasn't negotiated the price b/c it was so fair to begin with. WE WILL NEVER, NEVER, NEVER GO BACK TO MULLER TOYOTA!!! I would give them less than one star if I could. read more

Came to them for the first time as me and my regular dealer have grown apart over the years. Very laid back non-aggressive sales approach. Honored the vehicle/tradein/loan price negotiated over the internet after some very mild haggling. Prepared car quickly, did not try too hard to push "add on" products. Very happy with my new Tacoma, will return eventually if they keep it up - we only buy Toyotas. Service - this is where you find out who your dealer is. Within a month of the purchase, truck developed a vibration. I brought it to Muller service department, where they ACKNOWLEDGED EXISTENCE OF THE PROBLEM, replaced all brake components and sent Toyota a warranty bill for $800. Once I drove home, I realized the problem was still there. Made an appointment for the following week to continue to resolve the issue. Arrived early on Friday, waited an hour only to be told by service manager that THEY WILL NOT INVESTIGATE FURTHER and that THE PROBLEM *** DOES NOT*** EXIST, "they all drive that way" load. The manager also informed me that he drove trucks for 30 years and he knows what he is talking about. I was stunned. Long story short, with help of people on Toyota Tacoma AMATEUR enthusiasts website, I was able to resolve the problem in 5 minutes (U-Bolts were not tight on the rear axle/leaf pack). Perhaps the manager should have spent some of the 30 years learning to fix the trucks rather than just driving them. Or maybe they just didn't want to spend the time diagnosing problems, when there were so many people there waiting to overpay for tires and get the "crucial" 60K mile service. They sent me a survey, of course where they tell you to write good review on Google and Yelp if you liked the service and respond privately if you didn't. I responded privately and of course no one did anything. I am sure they will respond to this review by telling me how much they want to take care of me, but that's not meant for me, it's for other potential customers. So here we are - the only reason I left it 2 stars instead of one is because I would still deal with the sales team, but I wouldn't even park my truck next to the service facility. read more

In the past 18 years I've bought 4 Toyotas (2 new, 2 used) from various Toyota dealerships. I'm sorry to say this was the absolutely worst car buying experience I've ever had. Problems included - Dealer would not repair a tire 1 week after purchase after calling dealer and letting them know we were stuck in a traffic jam. Ten minutes before closing, service would not look at car. (So much for Toyota care). Paid cash for the vehicle, but had to wait over 3 weeks to receive title. After numerous calls and finally with a message from my lawyer, the title finally came in the mail (funny they cashed the check the following day we paid for the car) The car has (still) a 2" crack on the rear bumper they refuse to address, and the interior had spilled baby formula in the backseat. I could go on. Trust me, go elsewhere. read more

This was, hands down, one of the worst car buying (or attempted car buying) experiences I've ever had, and they used every dirty car salesman trick in the book. To summarize: clear cut bait and switch (tried to sell me a more expensive truck after the in-stock one I had inquired about and gotten an "e-price" on mysteriously wasn't on the lot), completely unfair trade-in offer (less than 1/2 KBB and Edmunds fair trade-in price), very high financing (which we later found out they lied about), and lies about "something" being wrong with my car I was looking to trade in. In addition to that, they are part of a USAA buying program and did not match the guaranteed price that they are supposedly obligated to under the program. The sales manager was completely condescending and insulting, and we were told outright lies about financing, their price, the trade-in value of my car, and my car's condition. As if all of that wasn't enough, they also told us that the price they did offer us was only for trucks on their lot that night, and if they had to find us a truck elsewhere then the pricing would be higher. This was very much your stereotypical sleezy car buying experience. I wouldn't recommend Muller Toyota to anyone - stay away or be prepared to be raked over the coals if you deal with them. read more

Make SURE you look at your bill for service work BEFORE you pay, otherwise it's hard to get money back. I recommend paying with a credit card so you can dispute the charge if the dealer doesn't cooperate. When I got home after the work was done I realized the bill made no sense. When I called my service contact - Norm - he agreed and said he'd call me back. Not. I won't deal with Norm again - he didn't call me back as promised on more than one occasion. It took me at least 4 phone calls to get him to acknowledge I was overcharged and what the amount was. He took my credit card number ostensibly to process the difference in my favor, but after waiting a couple more weeks I finally disputed it with my credit card company online. Note - buying a car here was a pleasure - I've absolutely no complaints. read more

Salesperson literally jumped out of his seat and ran out to my car as I was still pulling into the spot. (It was comedic, really.)Then he stalked my car until I got out and proceeded to act in predatory manner for the entire time I dealt with him. I knew after 5 minutes that I would not be buying a car at Muller Toyota, but I stayed because I was looking for information on the particular car that we were interested in. Asked for the CARFAX and he said that he would get it for me... And he puts two pieces of paper in front of me that basically said nothing. Looking at it, I realized that it was not a CARFAX report at all, but some other company with basically no information on the car we were looking at. He said that CARFAX charges dealerships too much so they opt to go with a different reporting company. Got up and walked out of the dealership without saying another word. Salesman chased after me asking why I was being such an a**hole. Went down the road and bought a car at Fred Beans, which was awesome! Goodbye Muller. Never. read more

So the service manager called back and let me know the warranty part was available. He was professional and I appreciated that he called me back personally. I assume that in our previous conversation he was trying to defend his service associate regarding why I was not called back. In the end I will have work done at another location, but I bumped up my review to three stars as they tried to make things right. Final update: I took my car to another service center in the area and let them know there was a possible left front bearing issue. The mechanic verified the car was noisy when driving and put it on the lift to check for bearing noise. No noise on the lift so obviously no bearing issue. Left front tire had a huge slash in it though. A couple of tires changed and car drives perfectly. Happy the car is fixed. read more

Muller Toyota sent us a quote through email that was far more competitive than any other dealership that we had contacted. They had the exact car I was looking for in stock and we negotiated an extra feature that no other dealer was able to provide that they installed in a timely manner. I was very nervous about buying a new car but as soon as we sat down Tommie Jones he made us feel entirely comfortable. He was so professional about about every step of the process. He was accessible, patient, and communicative. He also spent a lot of time explaining the features of my new car (Toyota Camry Hybrid) to me before I drove it away - and that took a while because there were so many features like the bluetooth and lane change sensors, sun roof and usb ports. I cannot say enough about how great our experience was. The only negative I have to report was the hard sell on the warranties but that was not Tommie and I think you would find that at any dealership. Check this place out. Buying a car is a very tricky process and you want to feel confident that you are working with the right people because so many things can go wrong. By all means, check out other dealerships - but give these guys a chance because of their competitive pricing and no nonsense buying process. Just purchased a 2013 certified RAV4 from Muller. Easy pleasant experience. A good deal on a very nice vehicle. Made the trade in process simple and easy. Even the business manager was not your typical pushy salesman. Options for add on warranties were presented simply and there was no pressure to purchase after I expressed no real interest. I leased a 2015 Toyota Highlander and Michael Neely was my salesman. He was very easy going, helpful and knowledgeable and I would recommend him to anyone interested in a new or newer Toyota. What I thought was going to be a painful experience was actually really easy with no pressure thanks to Mike. I knew I wanted the 2015 Highlander for its highly recommended reviews (Consumer Reports). I traded in my 2006 Highlander, which was appraised while I test drove the new 2015. Before arriving, I did my homework: (1) My trade in was immaculately cleaned. (2) I knew the worth from a variety of online sources. (3) I bought a car on their lot with all the features I wanted (e.g., my wife didn't want the captains chairs (seats 7 total in car) and wanted the standard seating (which seats 8) (4) I was familiar with the leasing process. After we agreed on a price, We dealt with John Benaduce in financing. He was easy going as well. I wasnt aware of gap insurance and I thought Geico covered it which John stated they do not. I of course called Geico and they didnt cover it and recommended it. My sister in law owns a 2008 Toyota Tacoma in which one of the leaf springs broke recently. Her local mechanic quoted her $1,600-$2000. She did a little research and it was actually under recall. Muller Toyota service center fixed her Tacoma for free ($2600) Her experience was positive as well. I would highly recommend Muller Toyota. Please eat before you go and bring some snacks with you if you are serious about shopping for a new car. We were there for 6 hours straight but ended up driving home that night with our new car. read more

This dealership seems to take pleasure in taking you through the whole exercise of buying a car and then, tell you it is not possible! We went there to trade our 2024 car for a camary. The sales person made it sound like there wouldn't be any problems doing so and started our credit verification! Both of us have excellent credit so he told us this was a cinch. We didn't have a problem with the price. The head honcho came by and dropped off the manuals to the new car!band then, 5 minutes later came back and told us that the trade-in value was not acceptable to them! Why put people through the wringer and pull their credit if you don't want to give them the car at the price your salesman agreed to? I wouldn't recommend this dealership but it is up to you. Please don't buy from Muller Toyota as they don't reveal the exact 'out the door' price and after charging $500 on your credit card, they charge for the documentation fee, jiffy package (even if you don't need) etc.. In my case the sales person (Peter Feld and Jeffrey Kemp) informed me about Tire tax etc which is only $7.50.. but conceals other fees like documentation fee, and jiffy package which are expensive. It is unfair that after charging $500 to customer's credit card they put all these fees and cheat the customer. read more

I responded to a coupon for an oil change and made an appointment. start to finish was almost two hours. unfortunately two hours for an oil change is commonplace at Muller. while I was there they informed me that the throttle needed "service", the cabin filter was dirty, and there was a nail in the right front tire. the throttle service is not a Toyota recommended service. The cabin filter was replaced less than 10K miles ago. I carefully checked the tire after I got home and there was no nail (only a tiny staple easily removed by finger). I understand that Muller needs to pay for their extravagant repair facility, but it's their fault that they built a building that's not economically viable (and provides horrible access to Rte 31S). In any case they shouldn't come up with fraudulent reasons to have customers pay for unnecessary work. read more

completely disregarded me as a customer and wasted over an hour of my time. i said i had already test drove and the salesman made me do it again cause his "boss was watching". he didn't care about wasting my time as long as his boss' needs were met. when we FINALLY got to talking about pricing (on an end of year model, no less), i was told there was nothing they could do for me unless i was interested in a completely different vehicle. i was quoted higher than i was initially on the phone AND higher than what was listed on the website. i wasn't even given a print out with pricing breakdown, finance options or anything. i walked out without having spent more than 2 minutes discussing financials and that was that. four days later, i get a phone call asking how my new car was working out. ridiculous. i'll never even consider muller toyota in the future. read more

After speaking with the dealer multiple times earlier today they are still refusing to cover the full replacement of the transmission. They are only willing to cover $2850.00. The cheapest repair estimate I have received to replace it with a factory transmission was in excess of $5000.00. As a business owner I not only find this business very unprofessional but they also refuse to stick behind the products and services they sell. Also the sales representative I dealt with was also extremely unprofessional. She has on multiple occasions, which I have recorded the entire conversations, used foul language and profanity.. Dropping the "F bomb" and telling me to go "F**k myself and have a nice weekend". I continue to stand behind my original review and would recommend nobody use this dealership. I was threatened by a dealer employee that they would file a law suit if I did not remove the original review. Why? Buyers beware of the website Trade-in Value calculator they provide powered by Kelly Blue Book. Despite this national recongnized tool in the car sales industry they "Do Not" use it but won't tell you that until you actually start to negotiate a deal. They gave me several tactics as to why they had to undervalued my trade in from KBB by approximately $3000 and stated they wouldn't be making much money on the resale and quote "would never try to make thousand on a trade in when they sold it." They listed the car as certified pre-owned for $6,699 over what they gave me at trade in and the car was low mileage and spotless. Toyota sells a great car and I I've been driving them for 30 years, but the KBB Calulator they put on their website to give you an estimate of what your trade in is worth is useless and they don't even use it during the sales deal. Just be prepared for this should you choose to use this dealer. The lack of transparency in their process for determining trade values is a disgrace and they have lost my future business over it. read more

I purchased a used SUV from this dealership on Dec. 31 of 2015. The salesman Lou was not helpful and rather rude. Barely gave me the time of day. I had researched the car I wanted online and was prepared when I arrived at the dealership which was far from home. I was told I could not get a lower interest rate unless I bought a maintenance plan even though I was paying half in cash. I live 2 hours away and am not going back to this dealership for service. This was sold to me as a "certified" vehicle that passed all their inspection plans - 4 weeks later I had to have all new brakes and rotors put on because the old ones were so warped it was dangerous to drive. Of course this was not covered in the maintenance plan I was paying for. The final disappointment was in the transfer of my tags. I was very explicit in telling the dealership I wanted my old tags transferred to my new vehicle. I even followed up with an email the next business day to be sure of this process. Come to find out I was charged for new tags but never received the plates, I had to pay again for my old tags to be transferred, and have been fighting with the MVC ever since to get a refund for their mistake. The MVC refuses to refund my money and my phone calls and emails to Muller are never returned. They do not deserve anyone's business. read more

So my Yukon of like 12 or so years just ended. Very sad about that because it has never really gave me any issues and have really loved it and was the perfect work wagon. The seats have not been up in the back for like 8 years. Anyway.. we like to shop local and asked around and no one could help us find a white Sienna van with all the bells and whistles. I found one after a few weeks of looking on every online car sales website and found one at a dealership called Muller Toyota in Clinton NJ. We discussed it with a salesman several times over the week and then told him that we would be there on Monday morning at 9 am .. so we rented a car.. drove from northern Maine about 10 hours one way thru crazy traffic and Siri making us do a few U turns. Spent the night at a local hotel and the rental car drop off 1/4 mile down the road. Had it all planned out.... except it wasn't ready when we got there and Salesman Russ Swick passed the blame off on another much younger sales rookie.. He made excuses instead of owning the mistake and apologizing for it.. I forgive mistakes. So we drove it .. loved it.. wanted it. So told Russ we would go have lunch a mile down the road as it was in the garage getting ready to go. Called to see if it was done after eating at the local diner... Russ told us that another couple came right in behind us and purchased it... LIKE WTH ???!!!! who does that?! I said Dave you have got to be kidding me. He said no. I said take me over there and he said no .. I said take me over there and he said no they are probably doing us a favor. Who does this crap? Someone and some place that has ZERO integrity. Wow. So we drove 10 hours back home without a car. That was a pricey mistake. I am still shocked and renting a car and today has to be the day to find a car. I'm at home all day so... I would like to purchase local but I really need a vehicle that has not had the calcium start to attack it. The renting a car is taking away from the money going towards my new used car.. Anyway.. that's my story as my Yukon was just loaded onto a flatbed and taken out of my yard before the snowfall on Sunday. I am sad about this on so many levels. Not only did I get attached to a reliable piece of metal I bought that took me and my daughters on so many happy adventures but then a miserable road trip that was suppose to be an incredible bright spot since it was now my turn to get a car that I really wanted. You know what I mean? What an embarrassment. But that's what feedback and reviews are for right? After having purchased 3 Toyota vehicles through this dealership, they have just lost all my business associated with servicing these vehicles, in addition to the purchase of a new Toyota vehicle that I was going to do in a few months. They "serviced" my car telling me all the hoses were fine, when a just a few months later, the transmission hose broke and leaked transmission fluid all over the engine of the vehicle. Upon repair the service technician said that the break in the hose was due to the placement of an "improper hose" in the vehicle. After repeated attempts to get answers as to how the improper hose got in the vehicle in the first place, when it had ever only been serviced at the dealership, no one would respond to me with any answers. The Service Director, Alan, did not even have the courtesy to reach out to me directly after I sent in a written request for answers, only telling the Service Advisor, Tony, that the car had been towed in and "fixed", ignoring my concerns completely. As a loyal and long standing customer of Muller Toyota, I deserved answers and customer care. I gave them an opportunity to respond to me but my concerns were ignored. Since my concerns do not matter to the Service Director and Advisors of Muller Toyota, and since they have completely lost my trust that their servicing is up to appropriate standards of care, and since their negligence caused me to have to pay repair costs that I should not have had to pay, I will now be taking all the servicing of our 3 Toyota cars, and upcoming car purchase, to another Toyota dealership. I will never again do business with Muller Toyota. read more

My neighbor told me to go to Muller cause he was a long time customer and I had already been shopping around for a while. We spoke to a great guy and manager Jeff Colura on the phone and made an appointment, he took care of us well. I'm not a big fan of going to car dealers but I have to say we went in there and they agreed on the price without playing any games and the whole process was a breeze. The salesman was courteous and knowledgeable about the vehicle we wanted to buy. The whole process was fast and easy. There was a problem/mix up getting the registration and tags and I wasn't happy about that but the general Manager Kevin Stroble (who is a class act and actually cares about the customers) personally called me on the phone and followed up until everything got taken care of and I am thankful for that. I also took the van in for service and Kevin also called me a couple of times and explained me everything that was being done step by step and even called my wife later to touch base.
