The service was friendly and their timing was accurate (it was just about 10 minutes for 2 taco plates that each included 3 tacos each with rice and beans). Price was reasonable too. It was $15 for the taco plate (3 tacos, rice, beans) and that included a can of soda. Beans were very soft and certainly made with delicious lard. Rice was soft and fluffy and light in flavor (but in a good way-- it balanced the plate really well). Red salsa was like a mild/medium and was more hot than the green salsa (the green salsa had a mild heat). We tried the avocado salsa too; I could see that being amazing on a quesadilla. The avocado salsa also has some mild heat to it. The taco truck itself is fine but the area doesn't have the best ambiance (we saw a number of people out on foot at night in the nearby parking lots looking like they were possibly on drugs-- and this was when it was under 30 degrees out with some residual snow and ice on the ground from the recent storm). Nevertheless, the "ambiance" won't deter us from returning again-- and I must say as someone who previously lived in So Cal THESE were the kind of carne asada tacos my taste buds have been searching for in Reno.

I was finally able to try Scottaco's. It did not disappoint!! Usually located on Market Street in Reno, Scottaco's does a fantastic job of keeping their Facebook page updated to their location for the day! So follow them on all the social media platforms!! My son Taven and I came to try tacos...so tacos is what we got! We ordered two Carne Asada Street Tacos, two Al Pastor Street Tacos and two Al Pastor Scottaco's. First of all... I know quite a few taco trucks that offer Al Pastor... yet I cannot think of one that actually has the meat grilling up the way Scott does. (I know at least one restaurant that does this but no taco trucks...until now.) They cut it off traditionally, pineapple and all! Second of all, the Scottaco literally is meat wrapped in a melted cheese blanket on a corn shell. Can you say...YES PLEASE!?!? The Al Pastor was our favorite! Not that the Asada wasn't good!!! It had a rich warm char flavor which I love! But the Al Pastor was so on point, that we couldn't even get enough of it. Especially wrapped in that cheese blanket!!! DROOL!!! My son and I sat on the pavement to begin eating but it was too cold so we moved to the back of my car. A few seats would be nice...but honestly, I'll sit in the back of my car to eat these tacos any day!!! The al pastor was one of the yummiest I have ever tasted, but the chicken was a close second. The carne asada cheese shell tacos were tender, flavorful and keto friendly. The cheese shells added a new depth of richness to these tacos. He also offers a "trust me burrito." The ingredients varies - so far, I had the ablondigas en aldobe and the pollo verde burritos and they are FANTASTIC! In short, this food truck offers great tasting food made from quality ingredients at reasonable prices. Go try the food, you will be glad you did!

We each ordered an entree and decided to again get an order of the meat and cheese Arancini, these were so delicious last time!  We learned they roll them by hand. We chatted with John and Glynis, the owners as John prepared our food and learned that like myself he is a Navy Submarine Vet. It was nice to get to know them and we told them how nice it is to have them in the area providing delicious food in the North Valleys. They shared that they secured this spot at Ranchers Feed and Supply two nights per week in addition to their other locations. I thank Yelp for finding this delicious food truck; I will cross the bridge for food LOL! The pastas are made fresh daily, and you can order off their menu or create your own pasta. With a teenager who eats everything, I can't always go to Olive Garden for the AYCE pastas or bread during their promotions. Besides, there's no Olive Garden in Marin, they even shut down Tomatina's, Chevy's, Pasta Pomodoro's, Denny's, Outback, CPK & Max's (just venting). The homemade cannolis are a must-have for dessert. I can't wait to see this truck around town, sure wish they would come to Off the Grid in Larkspur on Sundays. The prices are decent with copious amounts of pasta & sauce. The focaccia bread is soft and warm, get those arancini balls, too. I know there are pasta snobs who think they can make way better pasta at home, but ain't nobody got time for that!
