Called Chris for an estimate to replace Catalic Converter, and with his happy , humble, and professional voice, he gave me an estimate that beat everyone else I talked to. After the expeditious completion, he delivered what he promised me on the phone estimate to the penny with no hidden charges. I really enjoyed my visit to Mufflers West, and would refer everyone I know to talk to Chris and visit his shop. THANK YOU CHRIS for a "JOB WELL DONE " Ben S., Murrieta read more

If I can give zero stars I would! All of our worst fears of shops taking advantage happened. Wanted to get our truck done here for two Manifold's because truck was making a noise, someone quoted us something reasonable. We were going to get two done anyway, because we were going. We got the money and my brother called again and someone quoted him something completely different than the first for one.. No diagnostic was done here, but someone us that it was common for our make, model to get PASSENGER done. As recommended by the "expert". Went in and REQUESTED IT to be done by what the expert said. We even bought our own gasket piece. My little brother went to drop off the truck and upon arrival for pick up, they told him that they replaced the gasket of the passenger side. But that he needed to get the DRIVER side done and needed to pay an extra. Now the passenger side gasket was in mint condition. I called Chris today the manager, and told me that they did that side because we requested it. We only requested it because someone told us to get it done. He also said they replaced the gasket (which our gasket was still in mint condition, still looked fine to us). And our truck still making noise, issue not solved. The passenger manifold wasn't even touched, no work on it was done. Still charged same price. Concerning why we weren't told to just get drivers done, prior to even changing the gasket that didn't need to be fixed. Chris manager told me today that "oh yeah yeah he needed it done" When in fact we did not. People come here because they TRUST YOU to get it done and for people to drive safely out there. And the worst part is you guys are the professional and did not even advise us!! Our truck is still in the same condition as we went inside. read more

Chris is one of the most honest and friendly business owners I've met in the automotive industry, especially muffler shops. Very fair and honest..... Got a customer for life! read more

Decided to trade in the GMC pickup for a Dodge Ram to pull our fifth wheel rv. In mid camping trip, after picking up the truck and having them give us back our hitch, we needed to find someone to quickly install our hitch on the new truck, in order to get our rig home from our current trip!!! We called Mufflers West in Temecula and got Chris! He politely and clearly explained that our Reese hitch would not fit the 2013 Dodge Ram properly. He arranged to get us in the next day and got us into a (American made!!!) Curt hitch that works perfectly with the tow system in the Ram! We also take our hitch out sometimes when we need the entire truck bed, and he explained very thoroughly to us how to do that as well. We left very happy and grateful for Chris' help, and would highly recommend them!!!! read more

Let's talk about outstanding service. Speedy and affordable. These guys rule it's no wonder they're rated number 1 Awesome job I highly recommend!!! read more

This morning I discovered all four of wheel hubs on my boat trailer were extremely hot after a short tow across town and contacted Mufflers West, since I've been a customer for several years with several vehicles and trailers. I explained my concern since I was planning on leaving at 3am for my first family boat trip of the year and even though Chris was booked for the day he offered to take a look at it. After an inspection, Chris replaced all wheel bearings in both axles and got me back on the road in no time. Their prices are very reasonable and their work is excellent. This type of customer service is exactly why I am supportive and loyal to businesses like this! read more

Came to see Chris in total distress over the fact that my car needed to replace the exhaust manifold. I haf already been to another place and they wanted way too money. Chris and his team got me quickly taken care. As a woman, I felt that he was doing what's right for the situation and not taking advantage of me as a women not really knowing anything about cars. Highly recommended... I would come back!!! read more

I wanted to get my muffler welded on. That's all. Waited 3 days for them to tell me they can't get my car on the rack because it has "coilovers". That is plain out stupid. Car isn't even low like that. If you got "coilovers" take it to someone else because they'll tell you the same thing. read more

Chris is an honest guy who knows what he is doing! I am very impressed! I needed to install a fifth wheel hitch to my truck to tow my trailer. I had been to several places and gotten several different quotes from people and no one seemed to know what they were talking about. Different businesses were all telling us different information and changing their minds about the kinds of hitch we would need installed. I found Mufflers West by fate when I looked up the road as I was waiting at the DMV. After 30 seconds of speaking with Chris, I could tell he knew EXACTLY what he was talking about (Fifth wheel hitches are much more complicated than a standard trailer hitch). Chris was not pushy on making a sale whatsoever and he was super patient explaining everything to me. Chris even installed some pretty cool technology that I had no idea even existed as no other hitch place even offered us it. Chris also was very accommodating to us as we came to him on very short notice to get it installed. This past weekend we finally got to take our trailer out for the first time and the hitch worked perfectly. Everything went very smoothly while towing and I am confident towing with the hitch Chris chose for us and I'm extremely confident with his installation job. I would HIGHLY recommend Mufflers West. These guys are super professional and know exactly what they are doing. Thanks Chris : ) read more

Knowledgeable, Experienced, and Honest! My 2010 Nissan Altima Coupe had an exhaust leak caused by a crack between my catalytic converter and exhaust manifold. I called Rancho Smog who has performed smog checks on my 2 vehicles for years, and I asked them if the knew a good honest mechanic who could weld the crack. They referred me to West Muffler. I called and spoke to the owner Chris, and I told him about the crack. Chris then explained to me in detail the crack as thou he was actually looking at it. I told Chris that's exactly what the crack looked like. Chris said it was not to uncommon, and he has weldeled a few of those on my make and model. I knew right then I had someone who was both knowledgeable and experienced. He gave me an estimate over the telephone, and I set an appointment. The day I took my car in for repair they completed the work in a timely manner, and I paid exactly what Chris quoted me over the telephone. My car now runs quiet. Thank you Chris! read more

Mufflers West did a stand up job on our 71 Mustang for a competitive price. The shop installed full exhaust with frame supports welded in. Chris the owner answered all our questions and gave us some good references for work we need done to complete car. I appreciate a shop that listens to what a client wants and doesn't haggle you with extra costs. Thanks Chris! read more

This review is way overdue. Chris has been taking care of my truck and both my trailers for several years and I have never been disappointed. I use him to fix what the service department at the RV dealership brakes while doing required maintenance on my trailers. And, he doesn't keep my trailer in storage for two months awaiting parts! The work gets done on time and on budget. We are currently traveling the country in our 5th wheel and I guarantee I will find a way to get back to Mufflers West in time for my next service call. read more

Had my 96 Chevy truck with a Flowmaster Super 50 cat back installed with chrome rolled tip. Nice side angle exit & a perfectly balance of deep tone and rumble, not too aggressive. Chris matched the right muffler to type of truck and engine, he knows his stuff. Certainly not a hot rod truck to consider other series aggressive sound options, so Super 50 is a perfect fit & workmanship is excellent in comparison to an 18yr old Magnaflow cat back setup that was in desperate need of repair. For custom exhausts, go see Chris. read more

When I walked into Mufflers West, I had spent nearly 4 months and a lot of money trying to get a smog problem fixed on my 25 year old car. I went here thinking that I was going to have to replace catalytic converter(s) as told by the last place I had gone. It turned out it was not that at all and in a day Chris found the real problem, fixed it (and another problem I had mentioned) for an incredibly reasonable price, and I was handed the smog certificate today I had been trying to get for 4 months! Chris defines the meaning of HONESTY and EXCELLENCE IN CUSTOMER SERVICE, and I would recommend this shop without reservation. I could not have been more pleased with the whole experience! If you need work done, this is the place to go! read more

Best trailer, axel, brakes, hitch and muffler shop in town. Chris has costumer satisfaction down. He is honest, and has great prices. But I go to this shop for the quality of work. Mufflers West installed a B&W gooseneck hitch in my 2018 ram with a new rhino liner in the bed. The job was so clean and better than a factory install. He has done multiple jobs for me flipping axels, spring work, brakes on my fith weel and muffler work. All jobs exceeded expectations. read more

Super great experience and didn't even have the car worked on. We had our muffler fall off on the highway, and Chris was honest in saying that he was too busy to fix it in the next two days. We were on a tight schedule, road tripping from Indiana to Los Angeles, so we asked for a few places that might be able to help. He suggested Midas, which was closed, so we went our own way and took it to Meineke. Bad idea. The guys at Meineke wanted to charge us at least $2,500 over the course of 2-3 days to fix this piece. And by "fix" I mean they wanted to order an entire new 18-foot tailpipe with the muffler and CAT, all from the Mercedes dealer, and install it. That didn't sound right... I called Chris back, who answered immediately and said I definitely needed a second opinion, that it shouldn't cost near that much to simply cut the pipe and weld on a new muffler and small tailpipe segment. Again, he suggested Midas. This time I followed his direction. Of course, it was a huge hassle negotiating with Meineke to please give me the keys back (our dumb selves already put down a $1000 deposit by the way), and we drove it to Midas. Bo and his team at Midas fixed it that day, in less than 3 hours, for under $450... Holy shit. Life saver. We are still working on getting our money back from Meineke, but In the end I'm just thankful for honest and helpful people like Chris at Muffler's West. Thanks fam. read more

My car started overheating and I first had it towed to another shop very close to Mufflers West. I received a quote of close to $3,000 from the other place. Decided to get a second opinion and towed my car to Mufflers West. The other place was definitely trying to rip me off. Mufflers west ACTUALLY know what they are doing. They fixed my radiator for $600 and it has been working like brand new. I will take my car to them for the rest of my days! read more

Had a great experience with Mufflers West, took my Infiniti in for potential catalytic converter replacement and got a quick/free diagnosis from Chris. Turns out it was a much cheaper fix! Highly recommend these guys to anyone looking for an honest shop to work with. read more

Chris's prices are always on POINT! Whenever I go there, he is always the lowest price, and does the work in a VERY TIMELY manner. As far as these other people griping over $100.00, that's their fault. Cars are a very complex machine, and they are updating the cars constantly, if you don't go to an auto center prepared to spend a few extra bucks once the hood gets opened, that's on you. He quotes the work, sticks to or stays very close to what was quoted, and gets the car done, which in the end, is all that really matters. They do great in a very difficult world to do so. Hats off to Chris, and his team! read more

I just purchased a 2014 F350 and a new La Mar Dump Trailer and was not able to have the brake controller in the truck modulate the brakes on the dump trailer. I had a couple of people look at it and they could not figure it out - after several attempts. Chris the owner diagnosed it and after about 15 minutes said that the existing brake controller in the truck was still good but that it was wired incorrectly. That likely caused a fuse to blow. He said he wired it up correctly and replaced the fuse and it was good to go. I asked if he would recommend a different brake controller and he said the one that was in there can work but if you want a more robust unit to go with a Tekomsha P2 I said lets go ahead and replace it. 20 minutes later he showed me how to program it. Everything worked. I will definitely take my other trucks to Chris. Quality work at a reasonable price. I have been looking for someone who knows what he is doing. This is the place. We run a landscape company, so the equipment has to work - so we can work. Blessing to Chris and his crew. read more

After researching the types of hitches for flat towing a vehicle behind our motor home, we decided to stop at Muffler's West to get more information. Chris came out to talk to us about all of the pros and cons of what we had discovered. This was before we had even decided to have him do the work. That's great customer service before we were even customers! It was an easy decision to decide have him do the work. So, last week, we dropped off our vehicle. Today, we went to pick it up. First, Chris hooked everything up in front of us and showed us what to do in the Jeep. Then, he unhooked it all and watched us do it, several times, to make sure we were comfortable with the process. We highly recommend Muffler's West. You will definitely get a great product and excellent service. read more

I have been restoring a 65 Fastback Mustang for the last 4 years and was a little hesitant about the exhaust. My mechanic recommended I go see Chris at Mufflers West in Temecula. Glad I did. My 1994 Toyota Avalon wouldn't pass its smog test this year. Sadly it needed a new Catalytic convertor but luckily I found Mufflers West. They're right behind the DMV office in Temecula. Mufflers West is AWESOME!! I've used them a couple of times before and they were great but recently I needed help and they totally saved me. I was going to Arizona to pick up a fifth wheel I bought and the hitch I ordered for my truck didn't work. I am a flight attendant and had just flown in two nights before I needed to leave. I was going to install the hitch the day before but then realized it totally didn't work. I went to Mufflers West around 11:30 and talked to Chris and by 4:00 he had a new hitch installed. Chris even gave me a great deal on the hitch and install. How easy it would've been to gouge me knowing how stuck I was. The owner even offered to take me home while they preformed the work. Chris was amazing to work with and I couldn't more highly recommend him and Mufflers West read more
