I am thoroughly impressed with Muffler World and how they do business with expertise, high integrity, and affordably! I have a collectible Mustang that needed some intricate, mechanical and exhaust work. They had the experience and expertise to do the required work perfectly! Moreover, Junior, the owner was extremely friendly, professional, and displayed a clear commitment to doing an excellent job! You can tell that this small family owned business takes real pride in taking care of their customers and doing the job right! I highly recommend Muffler World! read more

My daughter needed a replacement catalytic converter for her 2010 Jeep Wrangler which had developed 2 leaks. I was referred to Muffler World by a friend. I called and spoke to Angel who was professional, accommodating and explained the cost of parts and labor to install a new catalytic converter, making sure it was coded and compatible with California emissions standards. I made an appointment with Angel to drop off the Jeep overnight. They installed the new converter the next day at total cost that was reasonable. I will recommend Muffler World for repairs to others, and I would go back again. Angel was trustworthy, explained and answered all my questions. He has great customer service skills. My '07 HHR had an exhaust leak, I suspected either the flex connector or the exhaust manifold. I spoke with Angel at Muffler World and he said he would diagnose and get back with me. The leak turned out to be the exhaust manifold, which was cracked. Angel replaced it in a few hours at a very reasonable price. The car is a LOT quieter now! I recommend Muffler World, and would definitely go back again if my car had exhaust issues. read more

I bought a GM truck from Ohio and knew from the previous owner that the exhaust was trashed. Well, it was definitely that when it arrived. I needed a new exhaust and catalytic converter so I could get raped by the State of California when I went to register it. Brought it in and spoke with Angel. Angel has a similar mode truck to mine and walked me out to his and started it up so I could see how he did his own exhaust. We walked the rough everything and I left him with a cash deposit. It is pretty obvious that Angel loves what he does and is dedicated to his craft. His customer service skills are second to none. He even went so far as to call me and ask if I wanted him to replace the spark plugs since he was going to be working on installing the headers. They were in bad shape and I appreciate that he was considerate enough to ask. Got the truck back today and you could tell by the grin on my face when he started it up that I love the work he did. I didn't want the loud exhaust in the cab. From the way installed it it sounds like a stock exhaust from the can but she growls from the outside. I highly recommend you visit with Angel. You won't be disappointed! Thanks Angel! read more

All the low reviews listed are 100 percent true.Almost everythng other people complained about happened to me.But funny the discrimination one I thought when I left. Then I read it on here.SO TRUE. And he is VERY rude.I have lived in the Valley for 60 years and long before this J**KA** owned this place everybody went ther.He said his uncle owned it before.Hard to belive they could be related. We all took our hotrods/streetrods there to get done back in the day. Then I heard people having problems. And found out now that its true. Take your vehicle to Pacific. The owner there is a real customer person. read more

I had a catalytic converter replaced and a security system installed! Angel did a amazing job, he was professional, with awesome customer service. The work was done in a timely manner. Two other shops were saying it may take weeks to complete the job. Angel was able to get it done in a couple of days! I highly recommend Angel at Muffler World if you want a great job done and get your car back quickly. read more

This place did such a good job! Angel was very helpful and did a great job on my exhaust and muffler! I would definitely recommend him!!

Muffler World in Indio, CA Understanding fully that a mechanic has to be able to see a car to answer a question concretely, I can't be the only woman who is still interested in asking a few generic questions in advance of a scheduled appointment. My first question was, what were the POSSIBLE repairs costs, (just a rough window), two, what parts may be needed (so I could or they could perhaps order them in advance to coming in) and can they, or will they, do the repairs with 'Universal Parts' (which are significantly less costly) My third question was about how long do they think they'll need the vehicle so I could arrange for a ride home and/or a rental car. Fair questions, right? I thought so~ Just don't ask the owner of Muffler World.. Not only will he not even let you finish even one of the above questions, he will insult you for even asking! In my experience, anyone who would speak to a customer like that, (particularly a woman who knows so little about mechanics), has gotten away with speaking like that to many customers for some time. So, for every client who perhaps doesn't have a yelp account, or the time to formally complain, this one's for you! read more

DON'T GO THERE. The guy who runs the place is a total a--hole. I came in with my wife and he was rude and belligerent. When I asked to get my key back because I didn't want to deal with him, he got aggressive and threatened me. DON'T GO THERE. read more

Holy Great recommendation on the muffler! I'm in love with sound!! Customer service is always good! Thanks dudes!!!

I brought my 57 Chevy to get some minor things repaired and adjusted and this guy has a lot of experiences and does outstanding work . He's very reliable and cost was very reasonable. I was very impressed with his honesty and integrity of the owner Art Franco. If i need more work done or have a concern i seem to get a honest answer. Bob Lea read more

I believe this shop has a new owner. We got the best service last week. We really needed to get out of town for a family emergency and Angel went above and beyond to help get us on the road the next day. I highly recommend them. read more

I have 97 lexus and to do both catalytic converters was 840 and to do a muffler delete 180. I was fine with it all but once i was ready to pick up the car. He told he fix two things and charge me an extra 120 dollars and wouldnt even show me what it was. Also with the muffler delete, i thought i was getting new exhaust tips but it was just the originally ones. Like 180 just for the muffler? Thats expensive. Also his attitude was very poor unprofessional. I would never recommend anybody to go here read more

Angel is the best....Went way out of his way to make sure I was 100% completely happy.....He work is top notch....Highly recommend...

Well where to start? I've never left a bad review for a business, most of the time I just wouldn't take my business back. This one was worth the effort of a review. I purchased an aftermarket exhaust system from a well known Company. I called around and this business was rated high on google(my mistake should have checked Yelp as well). I went in person and explained, I had an exhaust system, could they do the work, the owner said yeah yeah. He would talk over me most of time. So I figured he was that good, yeah right. Well I dropped system off day prior so he had a chance look it over, if there were any obstacles we would tie into or add on into estimate. He then stated,"this is a lot it might be more", I said; "that's fine whatever it takes to get it right", I had no problem paying more for a good job. Left my vehicle next day, noticed the box for my exhaust wasn't open, well I guess he's that good. I get call later, it's complete. I get to shop and there are no exhaust tips on my car. I go in and he states, the "factory tips won't work they're welded". I told him they would and it's a tig weld you have to break, he says way too much work, ok so I go outta my way to call the company that manufactures my exhaust they talk me through and provide a number to their service dept. to walk you through any issues, you might be facing. I attempt to give Owner the number. Then here we go, "I've been doing this for 37 years" and blah blah blah. A lot of attitude for no reason besides trying to resolve an issue, I calm him down and let him know I don't appreciate a incomplete job or the attitude. No effort whatsoever to call the manufacturer to resolve this small issue. To top matters off, he's done for day and I'm expected to take car incomplete and pay. Lol this guy, he offered to leave vehicle there but I didn't trust him anymore. Not to mention I dropped the vehicle off when they opened. I took rest of work down street to Pacific Exhaust II and took em 30 mins to finish rest of job as well, fix issues that were made by prior installer. Definitely do your homework folks, this shop is probably good with their preferred systems, but that's as far as it goes in my case. Again, I dreaded leaving this but bad business deserves to be highlighted. Always check yelp. read more

$190.00 to install a muffler they provide the muffler. Not bad right. The only thing that I did not like was that i noticed my tool bag was ransack why ??? Milwaukee tools plus had my payroll notebook in the bag. I had seen it nicely fitted and when the truck was brought bk to the front. The muffler did not sound at all i have a chevy 2020 regular cab. I asked the owner hey how can i make it louder. He tells me it will cost you an additional $150 to add new pipe to the bk. Smh nope i walked away and with a non loud muffler will not ever go bk or recommend them pls don't go there rip off!!! Poor work ethics read more

Horrible place was not satisfied with the work they did not fix the problems paid them $350 dollars had to take it to another muffler shop in Coachella where they showed me that muffler world did not weld the muffler correctly Don't waste your time or money these people don't know what they are doing I would have given them a zero rating read more

Came here a couple months ago to get a muffler and resonator delete on my Camry. It was good work to what I seen but I noticed the way the old welder did it and my piping was hanging. Turns out he did a bullshit job. So I come back this morning and the owner realized what had happened and fixed the problem. He was very respectful and explained what was going on. Things that the old welder didn't. I will definitely be back not only knowing that crazy ass welder isn't there anymore but that I am guaranteed quality work. read more

Two months after my unsavory experience here, a regular shade tree mechanic dropped the exhaust to access the manifold and welded the rattling baffle inside. Just like I figured. Months later the car is quiet as can be. Total charge: $70. read more

Was supposedly sold a new muffler. Found out it was used and spot welded the next time my car was looked at. Gave them a chance to give me what I paid for. They refused to pull the invoice which was a duplicate copy. These guys are shady. They wouldn't even take the dollar amount I was charged with proof from my bank for proof that I got a crappy spot welded muffler.
