Muffler Tech did a great quality job on my car at a tremendous value. I brought my car to them with aftermarket headers, and I needed some piping to connect to my full cat-back exhaust. They were able to custom fit some piping from the header to the existing exhaust and even opened up a couple choke points they saw. They are honest, dependable, and do great work. Worth the trip from SoCal to get my catalytic converters protected on my 2004 Sequoia. Amazing experience! No mansplaining, just explaining by professionals and excellent service. The price I was quoted by Matt prior to arriving was the price I was charged. Prior to my visit Matthew Johnson patiently and thoroughly explained the process through many emails and phone calls. He sent me a link to a relevant YouTube video and requested pictures of my catalytic converters to make sure they were original and there wouldn't be any surprises. He coordinated receipt of my Skid Row Offroad transmission plate with catalytic converter shields (shipped from the East Coast). During my visit he showed me the roll bar material and pictures of other vehicles where thieves tried but failed to cut through it. He kept me updated and brought me to the back multiple times to show me everything they did on my vehicle. I didn't ask, they are just excited and proud of what they do. Definitely a sign of professions. There was a nice waiting area/office inside the first red garage door. (Sorry, forgot to take a picture). There is a couch and an outlet for computer/phone, etc. They have complementary water while you wait. There are no appointments, so I got there early and was out faster than I expected. Maybe two hours, but however long it was it flew by due to the updates and friendly conversations. All of the Muffler Tech employees were all friendly and helpful. They went above and beyond. I wish I remembered everyone's names, so I could include them individually. I should have written them down. Special thanks to the employee with the Sequoia who changed the bolts on my splash guard at no charge, so Valvoline will change my oil without complaint. To preface: I've been getting terrible gas mileage in my Lady's Chevy Malibu. It seems like it has half the power it used to 5 years ago. Money is tight for me and upon my recent assumption after some testing of my o2 sensors on my that I might have a bad Catalyst, I became extremely concerned and anxious. Part of me was debating to just act like nothing is wrong but my smart part of my brain told me to try to get it looked at to make sure that's the actual issue. I can't afford a Catalyst very easily right now! I called a few local shops for some info and some pricing and Muffler Tech was by far the most informative and understanding over the phone. Bill told me what I needed to hear and nothing more. Some shops were stressing me out talking about how there might be a cracked manifold and how I should replace my plugs and coils again even though I just said I did 6 months ago. Just a bunch of malarkey. So this morning I decided to make the trip to Muffler Tech. Bill and his staff greeted me, invited me to sit down and took the keys right away. There was water and a restroom, and the office was clean! Much nicer experience than some other places. They had me out of there in a half hour, and didn't ask me for a dime. Now I know it's not the Cat, that means I can hopefully do my long time goal of putting an exhaust on my Volvo. I'll definitely be returning to Muffler Tech to do so! These guys could've easily said anything just to make a buck but they kept it real with me, they were honest, and they earned a soon to be repeat customer. I was going to buy an overpriced box kit offline, they got me setup with something better for half the cost, AND it's valvetronic. For those that didn't know (like me) with the click of a button I can make my ride sound basically stock, or push it again for a loud aggressive sound exhaust. I'm incredibly happy.
