Took Jeep in for a muffler and they placed slef taping screws through floor board with asking me if it was ok, hitting wire harness running through middle of jeep. They called me and told me window wouldn't go up well that's why. So for simple muffler we spend rest of night and part of next day trying to figure out the issue, pulling out seats and carpet and door panels we could fix the wires they screwed up. 7/6/23 Today my tailpipe became unattached on I75 , bouncing underneath my Jeep....had to take it off and put it in my back floor board. I went to the Muffler Man shop on Telegraph. This place is horrible. The front desk guy is a complete jerk who has no clue what customer service is. I had a muffler problem and called to find out if they could fix it. They said no problem, bring it in. I left it there and never received a call back so around 5pm I called to find out what they found and the rude front desk guy said they couldn't fix it. They didn't bother to call and tell me that so I lost an entire day of leaving it with them for them to do absolutely nothing. BTW, they also gave me a rough estimate on the repairs of over $1000 but after I got it back, I called another place and they did the repairs for $447. Muffler Man sucks and I'd never use them for any repairs EVER!! read more

You always hear of auto shops taking advantage of women. I experienced the exact OPPOSITE of that here today. A couple days ago my SUV started sounding like a race car. I had part of the exhaust system replaced about a year ago at a different shop and turns out they did weld work to a rusted part. Muffler Man corrected the shotty work and did not charge me at all. Such a nice surprise! Friendly staff, overall great experience. I will definitely keep them in mind for any future repairs! read more

Had a quote for an exhaust for 325.00 after work was done and I agreed to wait for manager to return He was going to charge me 471.00 then said he would give me a discount for 431.00 I even said something about original charge but he ignored me and the guy who did the work who also agreed to the 352.00 quote quickly walk out of the front shop. I figured a Review like this would be better then getting in an argument. I will not do business there again. read more

Avoid it at all cost, cheaper isn't always better. Had a wheel bearing replaced. Still within warranty and took it back because my car started shaking again. Was told a bad bearing...same one covered by warranty. Owner/Manager wasn't happy that he had to fix his mistake for free. Kept me waiting as if he would find a loop hole and I would just go away. Ended up replacing it. Next day same noise. Took it back and they couldn't look at, told me come back first thing Thursday morning. Well here I am and was told it'll be awhile. You already have my money so fix your mistakes before taking someone else's money and having them come back. So much for trying to support the little guys business. read more

I showed up there on Th. a little less than an hour before closing time. I actually expected to have to wait for another day. There was a mechanic available, it was a hot day and he looked exhausted (pun intended) But he "took a look" at my leaking exhaust problem. He finished up the job before closing time, and they charged CONSIDERABLY less than their nearby competition. I considered 5 stars, and judging on work only may have done so. The waiting area was ok, but not stellar (but then again I didn't have to wait long). Over all very good experience. read more

I went there to have them replace a muffler that they had installed 3 years ago and had a lifetime warranty. The defect was from when they welded a bracket to the muffler and it had rusted out. I was told there was a 10 minute wait. The desk technication reviewed by lifetime warranty and seemed to want to discourage me from getting my rightful replacement work done. He said the lifetime warranty is only good once (we never used it), it's no longer offered, ect. After waiting a half hour, I was the only customer left in the place. Funny they took 2 later arriving customers before me. Once everyone else left, They then pulled in a car from the back lot and told me I had to wait at least another hour. They forgot about this so called dealers car, funny no customer was around. I got discouraged and the technication told me to drive to another store, an hour plus away if I couldn't wait. These guys will find ways to discourage you from following up with there so called warranty. read more
