Took my bike in to them as it wouldn't idle, start and run but wouldn't idle, 5 hrs later he says he fixed the problem (air/fuel jet broke off, and he says he got it out) but couldn't get the bike to idle? I ask what could this be, he says it needs a top end or a valve is hanging open. ( I just put a top end in 2 months before I let it sit, I'm thinking it has a gummed up carb from sitting for so long). I go home and check top end psi, 180psi, I removed the carb and found the jet that was broke off and used a carb drill to repair the jet. The bike now idles and runs great. The only reason I brought it to him is because I didn't have tools with me as I wasn't expecting this and his building says MOTORCYCLE service. He didn't remove the carb to inspect it, tells me he fixed it and it still didn't run, and charged me $129 in labor and $19 for the air fuel screw. Not sure if lazy or dishonest. Good luck. read more
