I found Muddy Paws on Yelp when I started searching for a new groomer. My old groomer in Anaheim closed so this review is from my first experience here. LOCATION: One thing I really liked is that it doesn't smell like wet dog when you walk in, my last groomer smelled like that and it was kind of gross and muggy when I walked in. The front of house feels like a home and there are two groomers grooming dogs in the front so it's out in the open when your pup is getting groomed. SERVICE: So, my pup was cut on his neck (sad face). I was wondering why he was taking longer than usual, 5 hours later I decided to call them and ask what was happening - they told me he got a small cut on his neck. At first I was worried but they said he was okay. I called back again to talk to the groomer who groomed him and she was very apologetic, she explained Oreo was very wiggly (which happens) and the blade gave him a small cut on the neck BUT they got it checked by the vet that's right next door. They also gave me 40% off. So, I know Oreo was cut but I understand people make mistakes and I understand Oreo can get nervous and wiggly especially with people he doesn't know. Anyway, Oreo looks great and they gave him a little neck scarf! LOVE. Oreo smelled and looked great! So I am planning to take him back and give them a second chance. read more

My dogs just got a spa day at Muddy Paws. They smell so good. My black lab is so shiny. Price was Great to for my 2 dogs. Thank you!

First off big thank you to the owners for taking me in on short notice, I was extremely last minute and they fit me in without batting an eyelash. I would like to say that my dogs are difficult, I even explained how no one else could cut my dogs nails and it would be a mission. The gentleman Daniel said he could handle the hardest of dogs "it's my specialty" was his exact words. Got my dog back in no time and not only did he trim the nails, he gave my dog a bath and got her all cleaned up. I'm very satisfied, when places like petco and petsmart said they couldn't do my crazy dog they did. The only place my dogs will come from now on, thank you muddy paws!!!!!! GREAT SERVICE, REASONABLY PRICED AND MOST OF ALL FRIENDLY PEOPLE. read more

Amazing grooming place! We've been taking our dogs here for years! We don't even live around the area anymore but still drive there to get our dog groomed at muddy paws. We love Tara and Daniel! They do such an amazing job. Our dog is a rescue and he's very selective with who he lets touch him. They do a great job of calming him down. Muddy paws prices are great also! We have taken our dog other places n the prices are extremely expensive and the quality of the haircut is horrible. Thanks Muddy paws! You guys r awesome! read more

Had an appointment here today at 10:30, unfortunately when I walked in they turned my dog away due to being mildly matted. The gentlemen that was at the front went to the grooming area to ask the groomer if she could groom him and she said no in a very rude manner which I observed. He came back to me and said they didn't have the time of day to brush and bathe him. I ended up calling another dog groomer in the area and she gladly took him in and did a fantastic job! I'll never go here again. That was absolutely terrible customer service especially to a returning customer that has been here before. It's seems like they just pick and choose what dogs they want to groom based off the condition they are in. read more

Brought my golden retriever puppy Korra here for a bath, brush and nail trim and was so happy with the result! We searched for groomers who specialize in breed cuts; in our case, scottish terrier. My husband interviewed several and we decided to go with Muddy Paws. We are not disappointed. Our beautiful scottie got her first cut and we will be going back when it's time for her second cut. Dan and Tara were amazing. They handled my baby with care and kindness. Catie wasn't afraid to stay with them so I went with her instincts and left her in their care. As I observed them working with other dogs, they are truly warm and caring, their experience and skill apparent in all their actions. Definitely would give them high marks for grooming and customer service!! read more

Took my little 6 month old Westie here this week for his first haircut... i was slightly sad before going to lose the puppy look but they did a pretty minimal first time cut just to get him comfortable, so was happy he came home still a little scruffy but with no fur covering his eyes and his sharp little can opener claws were filed down. They were super nice, only $28 for the work done... and he seemed to handle it well. He looked real good too. Was puppy sitting my roommates dog too and at the last minute they let me leave him for a 1st timer intro too. read more

Took my dog in for a basic groom. I usually try to do all of it myself because I know my dog is a bit squirmy and difficult but thought that maybe a professional grooming salon could do a better job than me. When I went to pick him up, I asked them how he did and the guy just said "he didn't like having his nails cut." They cut into his quick and I can see the exposed part on his dewclaw but they didn't mention it. I also asked for a sanitary trim but I'm not sure they even did that because it was still long and I had to clip it when I got home. On the bright side, he's clean and they got him fluffier than I normally do. read more

Such a great all-around experience. I had a last-minute open day so wanted to get my yr old Goldendoodle groomed and came across this groomer just by searching Yelp. They were able to take him the following day! When we arrived they were great about asking questions and actually taking the time to find out what I wanted/what he needed. I'm not a huge Yelp reviewer, but I felt pulled to say something about this place because Rico has been on cloud 9 ever since I picked him up. At previous groomers he comes home and seems scared, and kind of sulks all day. This is the first time Rico actually seems happy about his fresh cut and the whole experience - And he looks precious! We will definitely be coming back here from now on. read more

My local vet recommended this place due to their grooming station being closed due to COVID-19 so I gave Muddy Paws a call. They did such a great job to where I can't imagine taking my cat elsewhere, he always comes back a happy kitty and smells fantastic. I love how they put little bandanas on your pet. They are reasonably priced as well. Will be coming back here for as long as they are in business. read more

They do cats !!! Which is amazing because my kitty needed a wash since when we do it, it's just a hectic screaming mess ! But she was well behaved according to the groomers at muddy paws! And She smelled so good when they were done with her and they even put on a cute little bandana! Was my cat shaking and upset by the betrayal of a professional wash ? YES ! Was muddy paws amazing and well priced though ? DOUBLE YES. Recommend and will come again in a couple months as recommended by the groomer :) thanks ! read more

I sought out Muddy Paw specifically because I saw they had groomed shiba before. Anyone with a Shiba inu will know they're notoriously bad at bath and will scream you to death. We previously got our grooming done at the vet but our girl got too difficult for them and was recommended sedating her. We didn't want to go that route and was recommended by someone else to look for groomers that know how to deal with shiba specifically since they're more equipped to deal with difficult dogs. As well as our shiba being difficult, my minpin boy was a rescue from an animal abuse case that can get aggressive with stranger. We informed the owner of our special cases and he gladly accepted to our delight!! He told us he'll try his best and if in any case he can't groom them then he'll just call us to pick them up. Well, they freaking loveeeeeee their new groomer as you can tell in the picture. Neither of them was anxious or nervous when we came to pick them up, both super happy. Even when we came to drop them off, they both happily followed the owner into the shop without even looking back at us. I was so surprised because my rescue boy hates men (he was abused and mutilated from puppy till 2 years old by a man). Needless to say we'll be back again! read more

I just got a new puppy and was looking for a caring groomer since she is very shy . Tara was wonderful with Lulu and she was very patient with my concerns . Maltese/shih tzu went looking shaggy and matted and came out ready for school! Happy with it. They did a good job but I'd say the ears are a bit too straight rather than a natural cut. It looks like they paid very little attention to the looks there when it's the biggest part of his face. read more

We liked this place for a couple of grooming experiences. Good prices and friendly service. The last time, they cut the quick above a nail and there was an obvious wound and dried blood. They didn't say a word about it when we picked her up and we didn't notice till we got home. I know accidents can happen but for god's sake let me know! read more

I didn't think they'd be open but my pup was desperate for a groom!! His hair around the ears was getting extremely long. I've been taking Po to Muddy Paws for his groom since he was old enough to get groomed!! I ABSOLUTELY LOVE MUDDY PAWS!!!! I am so thankful for them staying open, even through the pandemic situation. They are taking great precautions to keep themselves as well as ourselves safe. They come pick up your fur baby at your car and then when it's time to pick them up you'll arrive and call them (we paid with card so it was through the phone) and then they bring your pup out to you! THANKS GUYS!!!! From the bottom of my heart, I'm so thankful for you. :) read more

I took my 9 month corgi for a wash and trim last week. Let me start off by saying that I got bad vibes as soon as I walked in, I should have trusted my gut and not have left my pup there. First, there was a guy simply standing behind the counter during check-in that looked like he just rolled out of bed, and was high. Not sure why he was simply standing there just staring off. When I returned to pick up my dog, more than 4 hours after (it really should not take that long, not sure what they possibly do in that time) I dropped her off the lady at the counter I presume was on her lunch and no one else was around to greet or help me. I didn't want to be rude as she was eating lunch and on the phone, as she is entitled to, but she didn't even bother to acknowledge that I was there or call for someone to come assist me. I was standing there for 3 minutes, until someone came out to help me. Note there is a sign on the counter that asks you to ring bell for service but there was no bell in sight anywhere on counter or in store. At first glance the trim looked great, it's not supposed to be much since corgis don't require a lot of work - I get home and upon closer inspection my fluffy corgi had half her fluffy furry butt sloppily chopped off and uneven strands on belly and sides. Highly disappointing. To top it all off, I just returned from the vet because the groomer at muddy paws irritated my dogs glands upon expelling. $200 for vet visit, and infection meds and a cone all due to the terrible service at muddy paws. I probably wouldn't be so upset if the groomer had just told me that she had a difficult time expelling the anal glands, that would have been honest and completely changed my customer experience. My advise to you if you love your dog, go somewhere else because this place does not care about you, your dog or their service. read more

Super satisfied of their work! The people working there are very nice and they did an amazing job with my little puppy (cleaning and brushing). Muddy Paws is the only place I'll take my German Shepherd. He gets excited every time I drop him off and leaves looking like a brand new pup.
