Carne asada burrito, pork belly taco & Baja fish taco
Leah K.

Finally tried Muchacho and totally get the hype! The food was * Chips + salsa: Great, and loved all 4 table sauces. The orange was our favorite. * Carne asada burrito: Super flavorful and cooked perfectly. * Pork belly taco: Excellent, easily one of the best in the city. * Baja fish taco: Generous portion and perfectly cooked. * Menu: Super diverse - literally something for everyone. Still need to go back for the salads, ceviche, bowls, breakfast & drinks! Would recommend for friends, dates, groups & families. Only downsides: slow service and extremely limited parking.

We have a Muchacho in Midtown ya'll. We stopped in truly because it was early - midday- midweek- and the parking lot was fairly open. This place seems to always be packed. So glad we stopped in. I wanted to try a drink from the bar, but will have to go back another time for that - I had to go back to work after lunch I order the BEC and Muchacho Style Tacos - YUM and Chips with the Trio Combo ...plenty to share and my partner had the Gonz Burrito...he brought food home it was Epic. The vibe here pays homage to the old Meineike Muffler shop that used to occupy this space...it's so hip and fun - that also have great outdoor seating. Stop in soon !!!

Super spacious with plenty of seating - at the bar, at tables, at booths and a nice outdoor courtyard. I ordered two tacos pastor and a margarita. They have all day HH on Monday! They food came out super quick. Will definitely go back. Oh and free parking.

I had a random taco craving, and Muchacho fulfilled it! Location and Parking Located in West Midtown, Muchacho features free parking. The parking lot is small, but ANY free parking in Midtown is a blessing! Venue and Atmosphere Muchacho is colorful, warm, and welcoming, featuring a huge patio and plenty of indoor seating, as well as clean and colorful restrooms. Service Service was prompt, courteous, and efficient. Order at the counter, take a number, and food will be delivered to your table. Food and Beverages The dip trio, ceviche, and al pastor tacos were DELICIOUS! It's hard to find good ceviche on the mainland so congrats to Muchacho for achieving such a feat. The margaritas were strong, sweet, and got me where I needed to go on a Tuesday. Finally, the freshly deep fried churros were the perfect sweet treat to end the meal. Verdict I'll be back when my next taco craving hits!

Georgia Tech and West Midtown just had a new, fun, and affordable place serving Cali-Mex food! Before opeing this branch, Muchacho had another spot in Reynoldstown. What made the restaurant "unique" is that it combines Cali-Mex style with the concept of American Diner -- from food to the vibe. Opening early, you can have a wide variety of dishes in the morning -- not just the eggs, but also bowls, salads, burritos, overnight oats... All with a Mexican twist. I tried Baby Gem Salad and it was good. Moreover, these breakfast items are sold until 3pm. So it is also great for brunch. My friends and I had a meal there at lunchtime. I got the Migas taco, Carne Asada taco, Cauliflower Al Pastor taco and Corn Ribs. I never imagined mixing fried tortilla and eggs and wrap them in a taco, but it worked well. The Carne Asada could be more juicer. The Cauliflower Al Pastor was my favorite. The Corn Ribs were smoky and juicy. My friend got the Birria Verde Quesadilla. It looked amazing. I tried the jus and it was super rich. Would be glad to try more dishes in the future, after all it is so close to the campus!

I ducked in Muchacho for an early business lunch recently, and it's great to now have a Midtown outpost of the longtime Reynoldstown favorite. It's located on 14th Street just before Northside Drive, so it's outside the core traffic mayhem of West Midtown. Inside the vibe is, how to say, maximalist '70s surf shack? Whatever you call it, it's really cool. The staff was all really friendly and with my limited lunch hour I appreciated the prompt service. They have a long bar and a generous amount of outdoor patio space, so I'll definitely be back to enjoy al fresco tacos when fall arrives. For my lunch order I went with one fish and one breakfast taco and both were excellent; my side of rice was also good if not overly memorable. Midtown is a bit saturated with tapas and taco places right now, but as a casual standout Muchacho is a welcomed addition to this part of town.

Pretty good Tex mex style spot. The vibe and interior design was on point. The service was nice and the food over all was good. I did in fact got lit with my girls and it was a great time.

Popped in one Monday afternoon--they have $6 margs all day, btw! It was pretty early so parking was a cinch. The bartender was cool and even gave me an extra glass of water when I mentioned I was heading back to work haha (I work from home, so there's no drinking on the job!) My baja fish taco was good. I couldn't decide between the queso or guac so I got the trio. Yum! This isn't too far from me, so I'll be a regular for sure!

A really cool retro vibe Mexican restaurant in a good part of ATL! We were looking to go somewhere for lunch, and when we saw the sign for this place, we immediately pulled in. The name, Muchacho, and the colors of the sign caught our eye immediately. When you walk in, you order at the counter. The menu is somewhat limited and offers taco, burritos, salads and bowls. To me, the prices were a little high, but the decor in the restaurant and the ambiance seemed to make up for it. I got the chicken burrito which was supposed to come with fries. However, they were out of fries, so I got the cilantro lime rice inside. After we ordered, they gave us a number and told us our food would be brought to us. Because it was a beautiful day, we sat outside. My brother got a cocktail, a spicy on the rocks margarita type, and it was too spicy for me. Our food came out not too long after we sat, and it was really good! My burrito was perfect to eat and I got all of the flavors in one bite. It was nice and warm, so I could tell they just made it! The cilantro like rice was also good! The decor was on point. Very retro and modern with an airy vibe from all the windows and doors that were open. There were also two patios, which was really great with the weather.

I tried this new location since I love the OG, and I was impressed with the size of it! It still has the classic retro Muchacho vibe, and the workers here are super sweet! Also, the bartenders accidentally made extra drinks and offered them to our friends, which was awesome! I ordered an Al Pastor taco and I tried a bite of their Birria Verde Quesadilla. The taco was well made with the meat being perfectly cooked and all of the ingredients balanced each other out. I was disappointed with the quesadilla, however, since I'm obsessed with the one made in the OG location--the meat was really dry, making it hard to swallow and the console wasn't as seasoned as it should be. Hopefully, they're just working out the kinks at this new location since that dish is typically a hit.

The new Muchacho is awesome. I absolutely love this spot. It's super similar to the other location, just a new layout. Everyone that works there is SO friendly!! I think it's a great place to work or grab a bite with a friend. They also have great tacos and margaritas if you wanna go for a late night bite! I bet this will be a big hit for GT kids! Parking: Very small lot! There's probably some street parking around if needed.

Super yummy breakfast tacos and good cocktails. Nice vibe and interior as well, including covered patio.

Came here for muchacho fest. We were early so it was really chill but it was nice to get a few drinks before the 404 day crowds began. The staff was really nice and the location was really walkable. Looking forward to coming back.

There probably isn't a bar in the city that offers as breathtaking of a view as does Moonlight. The panorama of all three of Atlanta's skyscraper centers is clearly visible, along with the historical architecture of Ponce City Market. The crowd is mix of tourists and locals in their 20s and 30s. The cocktails are solid. Food is decent, nothing to rave about, but again, hopefully nobody is here for the food. The lobster roll was very bread heavy and the useless dab of caviar was just a wasteful decoration. Yet, the atmosphere of the place, situated in the beautiful Forth hotel makes Moonlight an incredible spot for drinks.

Having dined at Elektra already this weekend, we wanted to try something different. Hostess started with some type of unposted dress coded nonsense because my son was in a hoodie (which he agreed to remove) before we were granted access. Arrive inside and it's standing room only at the bar - all seating areas are clearly designed for large groups and they're all occupied, as were the handful of actual seats at the bar. Proceed to order numerous dishes from the menu to-go. Bar tenders, in fairness, were very pleasant btw. Nowhere to wait except standing there like idiots until bartender says we can sit in a reserved section for a bit. Nasty waitress comes by soon after to usher us away, despite conflicting instructions from the bar. Anyway, insult to injury when it appears I've been charged a service charge and a gratuity charge and the dishes were small and mostly not great. The wings were ok, but the grilled cheese was gross, the flatbread was minuscule, the cheese plate was meh. Overall, between the mostly rude to indifferent staff attitude, lack of seating, and poor quality of food this place deserves a pass. ,

I'm not a beer drinker, but it looked like they have a variety of beverages in addition to a couple of meal choices. We entered, and everyone was so friendly. After placing our orders, we received a text that let us know to go nearby to the food truck to pick them up. The double burgers were tasty and the fries delicious. Our slushie drinks were exceptional. We enjoyed our meal before walking over to the game. As the ballgame ended, there was a notification that there was a severe thunderstorm and we should shelter in place by staying in the stadium. Since we had a bit of a drive home, we decided to get ahead of the weather and traffic and leave early. Well, we had only walked one block when the bottom fell out. We were drenched. We decided to run back into Wild Leap before we got our car next door. As we got to the front door, a young man (Manager? Shift manager?) whom we had seen working there earlier opened the door and welcomed us in. He immediately grabbed hand towels that were clean and dry for us to wipe off with and offered any assistance he could give us. We went to the restroom and tried to clean up a little, then came back out, handed over the towels and walked outside. It was still pouring out. The same man then insisted on running to his car to get his personal umbrella for us. He returned with the umbrella. My daughter used it as she got our car, then returned it to him. We were so impressed with Wild Leap for many reasons: the food was delicious, the drinks were excellent, and the service was superb. They don't serve food, but they do occasionally have food trucks on site. Wild Leap has two levels, but the lower level is where the party is. The TVs are all down there, and they have some nice outdoor seating. The staff is all super friendly too. Happy to help! While Wild Leap is quite nice, it's super far from my home in Chamblee. I probably won't come back anytime soon, unless someone is having an event here.

Just a warning, the space inside is pretty small--typically there's optional seating outside, but it's really chilly at the moment (although they have heaters)--but there's more seating downstairs in The Victorian Atlanta plant shop. I didn't realize that the two were connected! FYI, if you sit downstairs, you'll be seated next to where the live music performers will be playing, so it will be louder there. As for the drinks, I tried the Zombie. I loved it so much, I ordered a second one instead of trying a different one! It tasted sweet and slightly tropical with the rum and spiced liqueur. It also had some absinthe, which I was worried about when I first ordered it since I hate the taste of it (not a big fan of black licorice flavors), but I didn't taste it at all!
