    Nice small little bar.

My hubby and I were out driving around to see the fall colors and decided to stop in for a drink. Mt Shasta is a really neat restaurant with a small little bar. I love the decor and the faint music in the background. We had the spicy whitefish bites appetizer. Wow, delicious! The perfect breading, fresh light fish, with a spicy dipping sauce. We wanted to order a second helping! This is a nicer sit down restaurant. They were busy for a Saturday afternoon. All the food leaving the kitchen looked good. If we had more time, we would have stayed for lunch. Super friendly servers. I hope to be back in the area and have a full meal.

    Mushroom Swiss burger with fries.

The burger was cooked perfectly! Portions were more than pleasing. Fresh salad bar with delicious soup. Super sweet waitress. 10/10 recommended.

Been going to Mt. Shasta since waaaay back. Never disappointed in the food, always delicious and the old interior and history can't be beat. On our last visit the 3 of us ordered the Mt Shasta smash burger....very, very good, done to perfection and quite the large burger with ample fries. Nice selection of draft beers too. So why not 5 stars? Sat at the bar and our server/bartender was either having a bad day or just not the most personable fella. We even saw a couple walk out due to his lack of attentiveness, pretty sad. But he won't keep us from going back.

    Outdoor patio, beautiful day!

Lovely updates on this little hidden gem. The patio is TOP NOTCH! It also has a stage for music. We were in Michigamee visiting family over the 4th of July. We stopped on Saturday early afternoon and the place was almost dead. The weather was perfect, the whitefish app was great, the ppl were so friendly. We cannot figure out why it was so dead. There were visitors from all over occupying almost every cabin on the lake. They have a perfect location and great restaurant, just need help with the marketing and bringing people in. Suggestion- have a band or 1-2 man acoustic singer Sat and Sun afternoons, maybe some Friday nights. The stage outside is perfect! In winter you could still have a single acoustic singer indoors. Fourth of July weekend, they" place could have been packed. Good luck, we loved it! See you next time on our way through!!

Poutine! Honestly, even the waiter agreed it didn't look right. The cheese curds were ice cold.

It's a nice restaurant with potential, but with prices being so high and the food looking the way it did and tasting even worse, we were overly disappointed.

Really cool restaurant and decor! Server was friendly and helpful. It's a good break on the way to Mackinaw. Food was perfect and thanks for having us!

BLT with provolone and garlic aioli, with waffle fries. Delicious!

Cozy Inn - Fried dill pickles! Must, at least, once!

We have been coming here for years, so let's start with our first visit. The waitress wasn't friendly. She was short, abrupt, and a little scary and we didn't want to piss her off. We even tried to be friendly and that seemed to piss her off more. So let's diffuse the situation and order some drinks! Full bar....no long islands, no red stag and coke, no hard cider....so we got what we could. We order the homemade burgers and fresh cut fries. The food was amazing! We kept coming back in hopes that the waitress was having a bad day. Nope! That's her.... we now come to expect no hello, warm beer, no glasses or mugs with our beer, or any type of follow up. Have you been to Dick's in Chicago or San Diego?! Well, if you haven't... you can find the same experience here. Dick's is known for people being rude to you on purpose and that's part of the experience. Was she like this to us? Nope! Everyone was treated equally. Let me jump back to the food... during our last visit we ordered the fried dill pickles, BLT, and the white fish fry. If you're health conscious, this is NOT your place. If you're looking for some good food and an experience, this absolutely your place. If you're looking for someone to be nice to you too, check out Mt. Shasta down the street in Michigamme. Will we be back? Absolutely! I love the Cozy! I know what to expect and they exceed expectations.

The bakery is amazing and it would be hard to select what to taste, except that I was a woman on a mission. I stopped in the week before Fat Tuesday. Placing the order was easy and took only moments to complete. I returned for Mardi Gras and the bakery was understandably busier. There were folks that failed to plan ahead, so their paczki pleasure was impacted. Me, I walked in, the same helpful person was retrieving orders and I picked up my pre-paid dozen quickly. The paczki were amazing and brought me right back to Michigan. The paczki we had in MN were good, but they aren't the same. And I've honestly never had paczki that were SO filled. And the fillings were so fresh, so perfectly balanced with the pastry. We tried six varieties (oof, yeah!) and loved them all. The prune paczki is an easy favorite, being traditional, but that Bavarian Cream was sublime. I was completely spoiled. It was fun that my first visits here were for 'holiday shopping,' which makes me look forward to coming back and trying more yummy baked items!
