The item that caught my eye was the Mushroom Swiss Burger. A patty of beef with melted Swiss and loaded with mushrooms served on a toasted bun. I am very picky when it comes to beef burgers. I like mine medium, with barely any pink in the middle. Normally they get set in front of me and someone cooked all the life out of it and it is as dry as can be. This was the first burger made with beef that I have had in over 6 months at LEAST, and it was absolutely amazing. Now that we know how close it is when we are in Michigamme, we will definitely be going back for more, and I can't wait to try another juicy burger! Fried dill pickles! Must, at least, once!

Waiter was very friendly. When my French onion soup arrived, we still had no silverware or napkins. Waiter was quick to respond, but the silverware never showed up. Finally, I went to him and asked again. Not good, but not a dining experience buster. The French onion soup was better than decent. So hot, I had to let it cool...a good thing. I ordered the whitefish almondine...disaster. The crust was horrible and I was able to scrape it off, but still terrible. The almondine part; just sprinkled some almond slivers on the fish after it was cooked. I now kick myself for not sending it back. The side of vegetables were terrible; undercooked and barely warm. I wonder if they were from a can? I should have sent the fish back and offered to pay for the soup. My mistake. My wife had the tacos. Not a good choice in the Michigan Upper Peninsula. She ate one of them and brought the other home, which likely will go uneaten. I dont like bashing a restaurant on Yelp, but this whole meal was a disaster. However, the place was busy and loud. Worst meal in the UP. Worst meal elsewhere in a long time. I do not recommend.

The inside and patio were packed with happy people enjoying beer and music. There's barely any room in the rooftop. There are 3 food trucks but one of them was closed (egg roll truck). We were able to order some delicious burgers and German pretzels from the other two food trucks. Longer wait due to the crowd but to be expected. Beer was excellent! Pro tip- try to find street parking if you can. Otherwise it's $10 in the private lot across the street. It gets very busy on weekends.

It's a beautiful view of the lake and has a sunset point. It was very windy and the lake appeared to be an ocean. Anyway, back to the brewery. The brewery was only a short distance from what I suppose is it's namesake. There was a group of about six musicians playing a variety of music which I assumed to be Irish (Gaelic?) We lucked out getting two of the three bar seats. The bar area is pleasantly rustic and we really enjoyed our custom sampler of five, maybe six beers (I forget). My wife and I ordered a completely different set. All were excellent. When ordering, I failed to notice that one contained habanero peppers. I noticed my error on the first sip, but enjoyed it. Great place to go for some delicious on-site brews. Oh, they have a membership where you buy your own pottery-like mug. They are close to 1000 mugs and hung from the ceiling, on the wall, and in back rooms. They are numbered on the bottom. Very cool place.

They had plenty of outdoor seating which we were looking for due to COVID. The location on a lake was just what we wanted. We sat at one of the beautiful wood picnic tables at the waters edge. Service was fast and excellent. Server wore a mask the whole time which we appreciated. Started with the traditional WI brandy old fashioned which was just as sweet as I remember them being. Ordere the cheese curds and they were perfect. Kids ordered burger and chicken fingers and they both devoured them, especially the double fried French fries with their homemade ranch dressing. Hubby and I ordered the walleye, having no success in catching any ourselves this week! His was blackened and he said it was very good. I ordered mine broasted and it was better than I had hoped! Light and flaky, not overpowering batter and e fish itself was cooked perfectly. Paired it, appropriately, with a cold New Glarus. Great stop for our one out-of-home meal! Definitely recommend for anyone in the area.
