We always have a fun time here at MP. Today we tried food for the first time which was surprisingly tasty. I was honestly shocked! The burger tasted homemade and my son enjoyed his kid's chicken. My only complaint is that the food attendant seemed to be doing every single thing on his own: ordering, cooking, taking out the food, etc. service was slow but that's to be expected when he doesn't have help- I felt bad for the guy. There also wasn't a place to tip. Please get these people a tip jar! The little area for small kiddoes is perfect if you don't feel comfortable having your child out in the jungle gym area. Now my child is 3 and I think that's the perfect age to let them venture out "on their own" up into the main play area; with all eyes watching, of course. ;) read more

The kids had a blast. So many options to play with. The only issue I had was the staff. All of the employees looked like they rather be somewhere else. They weren't cleaning the tables at all. This place is so awesome! So glad they have this in Austin was a great place for us to take our kiddo while on vacation here. It's like a next level Chuck E. Cheese imagine it like 5 times the size. My daughter and fiancé had a blast she played in the toddler and the regular kid area. The manager was nice she came and said hi thanked us for coming. The service in the food place was slow though and some of girls had attitude. Took 35mins to get our burger and the salad had a bunch of old welted leaves in it not a fan. Overall it was a great place though to come with your family if I lived here I'd probably have my kids birthday party here. Extremely disappointed. From the beginning everything started off bad. It was my child's 3rd bday. Me and my mom decided to take my daughter here knowing she's obsessed with playgrounds but it was a rainy day so this seemed like the perfect option. My mom bought a couple cupcakes so she could be there for "bday cake". when we arrived and started our transaction, the lady behind the counter immediately pointed out the cupcakes and said "you can't have outside food in here", okay cool, I get it some places are against that. When I tried to further explain that my child is special needs and food isn't always something she is comfortable with, we have to carry/ bring things that we know she will eat, and since it is her bday we know she would eat a cupcake. The lady then proceeded "well that's our policy". Okay got it, no apology just strict stern tone. At this point my mom is getting upset because we work in customer service as well and things like this are triggering. I willingly take the cupcakes out to the car. During this someone over this female walks up and starts talking to us, we explain my daughters situation and that she has autism and specific sensory needs. They refused to sit and understand. We finally got in and my daughter wanted straight into the toddler area that was marked 36" and under. Perfect, with her sensory issues sometimes she loves secluded play time. We get in there and she is having the time of her life, she wore her socks for about 5min then immediately ripped them off. One of her sensory things is she had to be bare foot. She loves to feel things. Once her socks came off she became the happiest I've ever seen her because now she can feel everything around her. The man who had finished our transaction walked over obviously to inform us that she needed to wear socks. At this point there are tears in my mothers eyes, cuz she's tried to apologize to the First Lady, and now she's trying to get this man to understand that my daughter will not keep them on. So I jump in and explain pleading with the man that she's having the best time on her birthday. The man walked away, I'm assuming to ask a supervisor for the "ok" he comes back and tell us we have to Go if my daughter won't wear socks. Now, do not get me wrong I know companies have policies for reasons, I'm 100% understanding of that. But at what point do these policies get looked at and adjusted for special needs children? Why are we automatically shutting down the idea of accommodating special needs children, if not right now, future children? Why today, of all days, on my daughters 3rd birthday were we asked to leave because of my daughters disabilities? She was in an area by herself having the time of her life not bothering anyone... and had to be pulled away. You know who gets to hear that tantrum? Me. You know who gets to cry in the car because you can't explain to your child why we had to leave because they don't understand yet? Me. You know who has to feel like a crappy parent on their child's bday because she was discriminated against for her disability and all you wanted for her was to have fun? Me. I really hope companies like this take situations like this into consideration. Because all kids with disabilities want to do, is feel normal. And by refusing to understand or even communicate correctly, they will lose a lot of business for not letting those kids feel normal. Let's do better. Let's be better. Normalize children with disabilities. read more

First, I will say this place is probably a lot better for bigger kids that use the arcade and normal play area. I came to check out this place for the first time with a friend and our toddlers for a play date. We were excited to try their toddler room. Upon arrival, you check in and sign a waiver, however it is one that you scan on your phone and mine wouldn't load at all. They had some kiosks that you could also use to fill out the form, but the buttons were really unresponsive and it was impossible to use the scrolling option to select the correct birthdays- the girl who tried to help me even seemed to have a hard time. I was surprised they didn't have a paper form as a back up since their tech seemed so spotty. I will say that the front workers tried to be as helpful as possible. My main concern was the toddler room itself. They had very clear rules and yet there was no one enforcing them. There were multiple kids over the size limit in there playing extremely rough for a room with toddlers. Their parents weren't paying attention at all, nor did it seem the staff was. There was more than one child who was left alone at some point, unattended while their parents left the room. Again, a rule but no enforcement. I've been to other play areas like this and usually there is a bucket for "used" toys that have been in a child's mouth. My son kept trying to play with something that a baby had in their mouth and I ended up having to hide it since there wasn't a place to keep it away. They say that they clean regularly and up to a certain standard, however I never saw anyone cleaning any of the equipment or toys. My son's legs were brown when we left from crawling on the dirty carpet. Yuck. My friend was surprised that there was not a changing table near the toddler or nursing area and said the bathroom was also really dirty. Again, I would say this place would be great for older children who can use the bigger playscape. However, the toddler area left much to be desired. read more

We had our son's 5th birthday party here 9/21 and overall had a great time. The 1.5hr time slot is a bit short though the host was great and very patient. After the time was up we were moved to an outside table where we were told we could not eat cake. After running around and trying to get everyone their cake, a couple of parents/kids did not get cake, and when we tried to cut them a piece, we were told they could not eat it on the outside tables. This is a frivolous rule and is completely changed the feeling of the party with those who were left who had not had cake. if you wanna be for your customers and make the environment friendly, make sure you don't make people feel like they can't enjoy themselves. read more

The staff there were way too strict about policy and treat guests horribly and unfairly. We were always under surveillance and not a relaxing experience at all. I bought pizza there and was eating there at a table with my friends. The old staff there rushed to me angrily saying "you can't bring your own food here", pointing out the box on the table that I put my orthodontic aligner. I replied "this is not food", and then he left with doubtful look without apologizing. Even after that he kept watching us and made us feel very uncomfortable. At the small kids play area, my friends' toddlers were playing with older sibling and the same clerk rushed to her saying "You can't play here". We pointed out that the siblings are okay to play there. Then he said, "You can play but do not stand up. You need to be sitting at all time". I understand older kids play rough sometimes and should not be allowed in the small kids area in that case, but my friends kids were not causing any trouble and there was no rule such as having to sit down at all time, at least at that time. There are better ways to communicate with guests and kids and the staff there don't seem to care about being polite and respectful. We came here for fun time, but felt like we were in a military camp or prison. We will never come back. read more

My son and I were playing video games and had kids coming up to us asking if we would let them play the games we just paid for, straight up following us around trying to poach are games. This is a great place for people young and old! I love places where I can participate in play with my son! Although I am terrified of heights and often find myself trembling trying to keep up with my son as he climbs higher and higher. Admission is 1 and under free, 2-3 $4.95, 3-15 $10.95, 15 and up is $1.50. All day play. No hourly play here! There's a fairly priced snack bar, toddler area, arcade, and party areas as well. I came here for my son's bday. The pricing was very reasonable, much lower than expected. My son had a blast. I liked the fact I was able to run through the playscape with him. Be careful tho, I started sweating after about 15 minutes. Going up and down some of those ramps is tough for an adult. Very disappointed in this place now... I've been bringing my grandchildren here for years!! I recently brought them to a birthday party and they enjoyed themselves. The only negatives are the counter staff and overall smell and odor of the place. The staff are never friendly or attentive to problems (it's a bunch of kids working here) all the swearing and funky attitudes are very uncalled for. Also Upon arrival we walked in and it smelt like pee very badly!!! I've never smelt it before (considering I bring my grandchildren here all the time) Honestly I'm hoping the management trains the staff how to better communicate, And how to take better precautions to keep the place clean it felt disgusting!! Families with small children, come to Mt. Playmore for a fun, physically active, indoor experience that you can share. Skip the arcade, as most of the games have seen years of use & are malfunction-prone. We tried out the place on opening day, Saturday, July 19th, 2014 with 2 adults and 1 2nd grader. At full price, we paid $1 per adult and $9.95 for the kid, but kid prices are a couple bucks lower on weekdays. This includes in & out privileges for the whole day, and they use a similar blacklight stamp system to that of Chuck E Cheese to ensure that your child only exits with you. Longtime Austinites may recognize the playscape system as similar to the one at Playland Skate Center, but this one is about 20 times as large. According to Mt. Playmore, the structure is 18 feet tall and 60 X 120 feet wide. Socks are required for entry, but if you forget, they are available for purchase. Our son and his pals played in there nonstop for about 2 hours, climbing, sliding, swinging, and bouncing until they were sweaty. We loved that parents are allowed to enter the structure if they wish, but there are also attentive staff members on duty inside to make sure everyone is safe. Because the structure is see-through & open to the air via mesh enclosure on all sides, it's easy to find your child inside and communicate from outside the structure, too. Toddlers have their own 1400 square feet room with a few ride-ons and crawl-throughs that are more their size, but we saw plenty of little ones in the big obstacle course, too. The kitchen wasn't yet fully operational on this first visit, but we liked what we saw of the menu (see pics). While the typical amusement park fare is represented, there are also some lighter items like salads, wraps, fruit, and yogurt. Available treats not shown on the menu include candy, ice creams, chips, and sodas. The arcade was our only disappointment. There are plenty of cool games for all ages, but at least 50 percent of them were broken down & totally powered off on the first day. Many of the seemingly functioning ones didn't work very well either, taking tokens without play or refusing to issue tickets. We saw a lot of kids with frowns when their tokens were wasted. We did see one staff member working to repair a single machine for about 30 minutes, but there were at least 20 more needing the poor guy's attention. Hopefully this situation will improve as the staff get their bearings and become experts at maintaining these machines. Speaking of staff, everyone interacting with us was friendly and attentive, from checkin to snack bar to prize redemption (something we don't always experience at competitor businesses). The Mt. Playmore owners have clearly done a fine job selecting and training their student-aged employees. What else? Free wi-fi - woo!! Open 10a-9p on AISD school days and 9a-10p on non-school days except Sundays (10a-8p). Birthday party reservations become available in August. Check online for other discounts like social deals or neighborhood coupons. If you think you'll come here more than twice per month, it might be worth it to consider a monthly ($40) or annual pass ($175), which are now 25% off for the grand opening. I was shocked how little customer service the manager had on our visit. We were needing more space to eat and moved a table marked for no seating to protect social distancing in the food area. This only made for more social distancing for the other tables. About. 9 1/2 ft instead of the required 6. We were minutes away from being finished. We were approached by the manager 2 ft from us. She wanted the tables back to there assigned position immediately. We told her she was still in compliance if she looked she would see the huge area left by us moving the table to accommodate our party. It did not to her. The 9+ distancing would not work for her. We told her we would move it right after we finished. We were almost done. NO she insisted it be done right then an there. She was standing about 2 feet from me. read more

I've only been here twice but I do enjoy having a family day at Mt Playmore. Its also a great way to wear out the kids.The prices there are Infants (0-1 yr) FREE, 2 - 3 years $3.95, 4 years and up $9.95 and 19 and up $1.00. If you happen to go during a school day, you can save $2 off children and $1 off on toddlers. Everyone working there are friendly as well. As you enter and pay, they make sure you and your kids are stamped to the same number in your group to make sure someone won't take your kid away..Once past the gate, to the far left corner near the entrance is the prize area where kids can turn in tickets from the video game area. Next to that is where the birthday parties are held in a nice private area. Also to the left, there are lockers you can use while playing. There is a food area where they have various types of food from popcorn, french fries, pizza and much more. Reasonably priced! Drinks range from 99 cents to $2 and they are refillable! All around the food area, there are tables and booths. They can be quite difficult to get esp on the weekends. To the right corner near the entrance is the toddler/preschoolers can play and just to the right is the huge play area where not only can kids play but so can the adults. I try to get in there with the kids..makes for a great workout ;). If not, I'm watching from below. Best way to keep an eye on your kid is to make them wear a bright shirt! Wish they could add a few more tables and chairs possibly in the middle of the play area..Make sure you wipe down a table if you get one..some people put their nasty, filthy shoes on the tables when they are trying to save a table. Not MT Playmore's fault just make sure you wipe the nastiness off if you can before even eating on it. With all of the rains a couple of weeks ago and the cold, this was a great place to get out to so the kids could burn off some of the energy from being cooped up. Plenty of things to climb and slide down on, and there are also a bunch of arcade games and small electronic rides. I've been pleasantly surprised both times at how good the food is (especially their fries) and they also serve wine! Very reasonably priced too. Plan to spend at least two hours here. read more
