I can honestly say we won't be going back. The service was okay at best, same with the food. We went for sushi, and it wasn't the worst sushi we've ever had, but it definitely wasn't the best either. The rolls are tiny, and there's nothing special about their special rolls. For the price you pay you get very little value in both portion and taste. Paid the same at other places for much higher quality food, so there's just no reason to return. The atmosphere wasn't anything special either. My wife and I would go eat there twice a month and the food was good. We bought discounted coupons and love using them. But a few months back, the service changed and they charged us a huge gratuity with our bill just because we used the coupons! It wasn't printed on the coupon either that there would be a gratuity charge with our discounted bill. We're very disappointed and will never return. read more

GREAT PLACE!!! When we first arrived at the place my son lingered in the front area where the fountain is for a LONG time. I was ready to haul him to the seat after 5 minutes of checking out the fountain. But the fountain was pretty neat though. Anyway, we had originally went there for a candlelit dinner but my daughter wanted the full experience so I was was like what the heck we can get Hibachi. The Hibachi Chef did a unbelievable job at entertaining us with his jokes and "acts". The food was better than alot of Hibachi restaurants we've been to but maybe because we were all starving to death. My family made a 6:30pm reservation for my daughter's 14th birthday. Due to icy roads, we didn't arrive until 6:40pm. Too bad, so sad - they wouldn't honor our reservation and told us it would be a 45 minute wait. Lesson learned - don't be late if you make a reservation. read more

I got a mailer with a coupon, so I decided to try this place out. First off, their liquor license is suspended from 8/1/16-8/15/16. I almost went somewhere else, but saw they were offering free soft drinks and at dinner, a free appetizer. Okay, I'm here, I might as well go without my usual glass of wine. I was seated immediately, and not at a table already eating their salads as usual when a single. I appreciated that. I ordered my drink and mentioned the free appetizer, and was told it was for two people or more. I expressed my disappointment, and she allowed me to order one-but I never actually got it. The soup is okay, mostly broth and the salad has this sweet creamy dressing, not the usual ginger. Portions are small, I usually need a to go box. I had ordered my hibachi filet rare, because it's usually overcooked.. And was told by the chef that it was bloody. I'm paying for the steak, it shouldn't matter what you think about how I like it. My drink was never refilled until just before the check was brought. And then... The appetizer is on the bill. The one I was told I couldn't have and never got. The sushi was good, but the rolls were awful (way too much mayo base and the seaweed wrappers were too chewy). The service was horrible! We waited over 20 minutes for our check. Okay - Mt Fuji isn't Sushi Den or Japon or even Junz but it is getting there..the service has always been a bit odd for me when I have visited. It seems that the staff isn't always sure who is waiting on what table which means that sometimes I have a few differnet folks taking orders from me and those that are accompanying me. BUT, I really love the freshness and the size of the sushi portions. I usually get sashimi and it is always worth every nickel spent. I have also taken advantage of restaurant.com's deals and used the coupon for dining saving $25 on the total price of the meal which for two because of the sushi portions (even on Happy Hour) was almost hard to spend. The Hibachi smells great and every time I am there it is packed that includes week days. Stop by, they are very nice and service, though a bit slow at times, are still a favorite of mine and I can be picky. Today, literally like an hour ago, my 2 year old was "helping me" get the mail, saw Mt. Fuji's flier and demanded he have rice for lunch. I decided to try it because the prices for lunch were fairly comparable to other Asian cuisine in the area. I ordered three different types of the "lunch boxes" and when I got them I was pleasantly surprised by the amount of food and the presentation. They were in a nice plastic container with a doily (sp?) and the food was all separated. Awesome! Also, each lunch box contained 4 California rolls, an egg roll, a cream cheese wonton, steamed rice, a salad, AND soup in addition to the entree. As someone who loves to eat a variety, this blew my mind. I love it! I get to literally try it all for $7-$8. If I had known all of those were included I probably wouldn't have gotten a third lunch box, but I thought it would be the same as other Asian delivery places where you get the entree, rice, and if you're lucky an egg roll. I'm so happy with this place. The food was so yummy too! And honestly, if you take into account all the food included in the lunch boxes, it's a better deal than Panda Express or Tokyo Joes, and delivery is free! When we sat at the table, the back of the hibachi table that is by our legs, kept falling. It HURT the first few times it happened. It is made of heavy wrought iron/metal. They did nothing to fix it until my son burst into tears because it fell for the maybe fifth time, but this time it was well after the chef started cooking and so it was hot and it burned my son's legs. They finally came around and re-attached it. I agree with other reviewers that the chef seems to only interact with whom he thinks he'll get the bigger tip from. He did not make any eye contact or turn his head our direction and we took up half the table. Funny thing is, we were dressed casually, and we are not wealthy, but we always tip big and extra to the chef... for example. With a horrible experience we still tipped 20%, but it would have been more. You go there for the entertainment and we left with bruised and burned legs and a chance to be totally ignored. read more

I can say with full confidence that this is the best hibachi restaurant that I've ever eaten at. Not only are the cooks well skilled and trained, the quality and quantity of the food is outstanding. I come here every Christmas as a substitute for the traditional Christmas dinner, and I am never left feeling disappointed. Bad food and when I say "bad" I mean bad in that it made me ill. Vomiting and diarrhea within two hours of finishing dinner. I had the B-Box dinner. Scallops were clearly of the fake variety with no flavor and very thin - - they'd been stamped out of a whitefish filet. The tempura was heavy and greasy and we all know real tempura is supposed to be light. Sushi was ok but not delicious. Rice was dried out. Miso soup was ok but the waiter served it by grabbing on to the top of the bowl and it sloshed over his fingers and back into the bowl as he placed it in front of me. To me that means they have inflated the dinner prices considerably to allow for discounts. Too bad. We would eat lunch there more often but inconvenient location for us for dinner. Also, dinner prices very high there. I realize all Mt. Fuji's are separately owned and operated. The Southlands location is the best but no coupon offers that I've seen. I remember when I first went to this place around maybe a year ago and I left in disgust. But my sister was treating me to dinner this particular night and she chose this spot so I wasn't too picky. When we first went in the first thing I noticed was that it was packed. Last time I was here we had a Hibachi table all to ourselves. This time however we kinda squeezed into a table but I didn't mind. This is what hibachi's all about right? The server took our drinks and then our order. The soup and salad was rushed out. Service was horrendous. Sushi was served with hot rice. Who does that ? Also, I ordered sushi and sushi chef made sashimi . Waiter told him it was wrong. He threw the food. Then made a new plate. He basically threw the food on the plate and served the sushi hot. I complained. They told me to pay. I did but will never be back. Not sure about the grill side but the sushi side sucks. The food is great! However, for our friend's birthday we went and spent $600 on food, sushi and drinks. We had an energetic crowd that loves to engage everyone around them. So much so, that someone gave the birthday boy $20 and said thanks for making it lively. But, after we paid our $600 bill we were greeted by the police as we were leaving. The owner called and said that someone in our party was having a confrontation with someone in another party. Which was a complete and total lie. If someone didn't appreciate our energy or humor, then we left them alone. But for the owner to call the police and lie about us causing conflict is a complete outrage!!! Especially after dropping $600 and tipping the weight staff extremely well, even though she kept messing up our bill. I will never, ever again go there. Three of us went to Mt Fuji in Parker last night for a birthday celebration. In the past when we have gone there, the portions were more than ample. This time we got very small amounts of rice and noodles, steak and scallops. There was a little girl at the table who was hoping for some fun interaction with the chef and he didn't do the usual tossing of the food... No interaction with any of us at all. He was very sloppy when putting the food on our plates and even got two of our orders mixed up. The waiter came and asked us if we wanted boxes while it obvious we were still eating. We were never asked about dessert. The bus girls stood on one side of the table while we were finishing our meals with stacks of clean plates and napkins staring at us seeming to will us to finish quicker so they could reset the table for the next diners. Really felt very rushed and we will not be going back to this restaurant especially after also reading recent reviews from there. Sad because this was our go to spot for special occasions. read more
