She's very thorough and thoughtful when washing my hair. She pays attention to your hair and scalp and uses the appropriate products for your specific needs. It has a very comfortable and homey atmosphere, and the staff clearly got along well, laughing and joking with each other as well as with the clients. I felt very at ease and not at all intimidated to tell my stylist what I was looking for in terms of my cut. Haircut: I had my haircut by Marty, who is the owner of the salon. If you have curly hair, you know how much of a struggle it can be to find someone who really understands how your hair works. I have had my fair share of nightmare cuts where the stylist has cut it wet and it curled up to WAY shorter than anticipated. None of that here! No pulling of the curl, no brushing, no making it frizz out! Also they didn't automatically assume I wanted it blown out straight after they cut it, which I appreciated. My cut turned out wonderfully, whether I wore it curly (my go-to for the week) or straightened it. I had the DevaCut, which was a little more expensive, but you get what you pay for and the cut was high quality and definitely worth it in my opinion. Final word: Highly recommended!
