Unlike a tattoo parlor, or typical barbershop, there was no obsessive foul language. My young man got a shampoo, leave in conditioner and cut for $26. The cut was decent (at best). The other drawback was that the barber didn't style his hair. But, other than that, things went ooookay. We will not return. Adam was decent, but didn't blend the fade well and the shape-up wasn't sharp, not sure if he just wasn't comfortable with course hair or what. Had to go to another shop the next morning and get things tightened up.

I had recently had scalp surgery and was worried about a barbershops. Her equipment was very clean, and she took extra care to be sensitive to problem areas while maintaining a fantastic well rounded cut. It has a very comfortable and homey atmosphere, and the staff clearly got along well, laughing and joking with each other as well as with the clients. I felt very at ease and not at all intimidated to tell my stylist what I was looking for in terms of my cut. Haircut: I had my haircut by Marty, who is the owner of the salon. If you have curly hair, you know how much of a struggle it can be to find someone who really understands how your hair works. I have had my fair share of nightmare cuts where the stylist has cut it wet and it curled up to WAY shorter than anticipated. None of that here! No pulling of the curl, no brushing, no making it frizz out! Also they didn't automatically assume I wanted it blown out straight after they cut it, which I appreciated. My cut turned out wonderfully, whether I wore it curly (my go-to for the week) or straightened it. I had the DevaCut, which was a little more expensive, but you get what you pay for and the cut was high quality and definitely worth it in my opinion. Final word: Highly recommended!

For one, the parts were not straight, (they looked like circles of some sort) secondly, the hair began to unravel before the second day. Lastly, no gel/jam was used to tame her hair. Hence, making the roots of her 4c hair look puffy. 4 locs had already came out not even a week after the hair was done. I payed about $250; and all I can say is that I do not see myself coming back here anytime soon.

Haircuttery's service over the years has steadily declined while their prices have increased.
