Stay away from UWC, every step of the way was a nightmare, from staying on budget, to him forgetting details, to bandaid solutions. On shotcrete day I tried to warn him about elevation discrepancies and he just didn't listen. Instead he had to chip down a 40 foot coping level, put in dams as spill ways, forgot a return line in one of the waterfalls, and one of the main drains was completely compacted by slurry. He told me to bypass it. We split ways as soon as his tile guy Tony (jack of all trades, sucks at all) showed up. He uses another company to do all his builds, an old partner of his (super aggressive guy forgot his name), forgot his name, but they finger point and blame each other for mis communication. Don is a talker just like Jeff said below, but more than half the time it's coupled with him forgetting. They quoted me more money for demo claiming that they had to do it all by hand after my father who is a civil engineer was adamant about them not to use a bob cat on the cantilevered deck. Lo and behold, the first day of construction half the pool was demoed by 8:30 am and the bob cat was on the deck with tire marks all over it. They claimed they never drove on the cantilevered deck but of course there was u-turns all over it and I had them on video. Claim to fame is "Drake's pool", let's be clear, that pool was built way before with different owners and I had seen it multiple times, it's an absolute mess with Leaks and broken parts. Even when I visited his other pool projects running in parallel with ours, the owners called me or pulled me aside sharing the same concerns and frustrations. Such an easy pass. Run or swim.

Don Goldstone's team never even noticed the leak and his team did a shoddy job. My builder noticed the leak and called Don. Don comes back and rips the stucco apart and attempts to fix the leak. Pipes and other fittings were still leaking. Of course Don is a "fast-talker" and comes up with every other BS reason why it leaks. He blamed it on "condensation"! This guy is a shyster who should be avoided. I finally had to call my own leak detection company to drain the pool. And low and behold, we see a massive crack in the jacuzzi causing the leak. Don wanted to use a sealer compound in the filtration system as a band-aide fix. I had to resurface the entire pool to fix the problem and bow I'm in arbitration with this mickey mouse group.
