Triple chocolate chip and holly berry sprinkle apple
    Mary T.

This review is special for a few reasons. The first reason is my reaching 501 reviews in 2021. Two years ago, I hit 500. I have shattered my personal best, which makes me feel like I'm an athlete flexing my fingers and thoughts! This review is also special because I finally got to try Mrs Prindable's apples and managed to give them out as thank-you gestures to a few people. It's more an expression of gratitude and Mrs Prindable's apples complement how grateful I am of others during my travels. I have known about Mrs Prindable's caramel apples with various toppings over the caramel for years. I couldn't import them over the border because they are considered produce. Recently, I made a purchase of ten Christmas-themed apples: - Five triple chocolate chip and holly berry sprinkle apples - Five S'mores and snowflake sprinkle apples I had a guaranteed ship-out date of December 13. I was travelling stateside on December 20. I made the decision to ship the apples to the hotel that I am currently staying at and fetch the shipment when I checked in. I checked in on December 20. I got a nice man who recognized me from my last visit a month ago. He noted that I had a package, but he couldn't find it. He said that he'd continue to find it or have one of his colleagues help. It was great. The following morning, I spoke with two women at the front desk about my package. One of them who manages the kitchen knew exactly where my package was. The other woman was the person who recognized that I was carrying a box of Crumbl Cookies from my last trip. My last stay wasn't as smooth as it could have been. If you want your room cleaned, you need to ask for it. I did the second time at 10:30 am. The woman came half an hour early. I asked that she come back in twenty minutes. She never did. I asked for housekeeping the following day. It didn't happen. I don't think it was asking too much to have my room cleaned twice during a ten-night stay. I wrote a review that the hotel had requested and everyone at the hotel had read it, including the two women. They both made sure that I had my room scheduled for cleaning every Friday during my current stay. One of them fetched my box of caramel apples. The other booked everything and said, "We'll make it right." It was so nice. I went back to my room with the box of apples. Each one was individually wrapped. I had the s'mores one first. You do need to slice through it. You can't gnaw on it because there is so much caramel and stuff on the apple. OMG! The green apple was sweet and huge. It was the best apple that I have ever had in my life. The chocolate and white chocolate chips, with candy snowflakes and crushed graham crackers, were so good. The caramel was lovely. Not overly sweet, but it held everything together. I ate the entire apple for breakfast. Hey, why not?! I then brought two of them down, in mini boxes that came with the apples, to the two women at the front desk. I thanked them for their help to make things right. They were delighted. A couple of nights later, I caught the man at the front desk. I gave him one of these apples. I thanked him for everything that he did and does. My last trip, I had come back from a Wild-Leafs hockey game. It was snowing. This man was outside shovelling snow. I let him know that most folks would take it for granted, but I appreciated his quiet effort instead of waiting for the snowplows to come out hours later. He was touched. He told me that he can tell whether guests are fake. He never got that impression with me. He said that I was one of the good ones. I appreciated it. He let me know the following day that he had some of the apple and loved it. He was still working on it because it was huge! I spoke to one of the women yesterday. She devoured her apple and is so hooked that she's getting some for herself. The triple chocolate chip apple is decadent. If you're a chocoholic, this apple is for you. The same thing applies as far as the sweet green apple and delicious caramel go, with chocolate chips and more yumminess globbed (probably not a word, but whatever) onto the caramel. These apples are awesome. They make great gifts to show how much you appreciate others. They are great to treat yourself, too. I have four of these apples left. We'll see if I can eat them all or need to share some before my trip is over. If you have a chance to get Mrs Prindable's apples, do it. They are yummy. I highly recommend them. (501)

2024"s order is horrid.. just NO ASSORTMENT AT ALL... all dark this Christmas box looks like Halloween. Extremely disappointed in the quality of the chocolate the sprinkles look old. After YEARS of ordering I don't trust them. They are too comfortable QVC dump and find afresh company that can really be pleasing and worth my moms money. Or pick your own apples from them I guess. Not worth supporting or giving as a gift unless they on the naughty list..I have pictures to prove this review.

A Milk Chocolate Dipped Petite Caramel Apple with Red and Green Festive Drizzle - Mrs. Prindable’s Handmade Confections 12/2019
    Vivian C.

We received a gift of Mrs. Prindable's Christmas Characters Caramel Apple Gift Set $83.99 consisting of: (12) Milk Chocolate Dipped Petite Caramel Apples with Red and Green Festive Drizzle (12) Festive Felt Character Ornaments to Top Your Caramel Apples The felt toppers were cute, and separately packaged from the individually wrapped apples. Beneath the milk chocolate coat is a layer of sweet caramel enshrouding the fresh Granny Smith apple. No idea how these are traditionally consumed, but it seemed wise to me to slices it into wedges with a knife. Yum! And somehow not overly sweet to this sweet-tooth. Tip from their FAQ: Our Caramel Apples are best enjoyed soon after receipt. If you're unable to enjoy it immediately, place your Caramel Apples in the refrigerator. Typically, if refrigerated, Caramel Apples will remain fresh for two weeks. Also, never freeze a MRS PRINDABLES Apple. Remember Mother Nature is not perfect. So don't wait too long!

I have been ordering their apples from QVC for years and they have always been excellent. Their website had offered a discount so I decided to buy it from them and boy were they awful. They were small, and they had absolutely no flavor. I cannot understand why the same company has two different kinds of quality of apples. They barely had caramel on them !

    Nice packaging!

I received one of Mrs. Prindable's Gourmet Apples as a Christmas gift. It was packaged nicely, and it was a very thoughtful gift. So how did my gift taste? It tasted alright. I don't know the flavor. It was dipped in caramel, chocolate chips, and crumbled nuts. It was too sweet for me even though it was paired with the sourness of the crisp green apple. This flavor was not for me, but I would enjoy trying one of their many other selections in the future.

    Didn't bother opening this one.

Awesome apples-so big and tons of caramel!! Best to cut it with a knife into pieces to eat it - just too big to bite into it in the stick.

Then I don't remember when I was introduced to Fannie May's Trinidads, creamy chocolate truffle center in a pastel coating with a touch of toasted coconut, that was so good and I became obsessed! And I have not found any other brands that have a similar product that compared to it. I used to go to the Fannie May inside Deerbrook Mall for years until it was permanently closed. Then I found one in Northbrook Festival Mall and another one that had opened in Deerfield, I happily went to those, but sadly they had closed permanently as well. Occasionally, I would go to the one in Skokie if I am in that area. Now, the one in Niles across from Golf Mill Shopping Mall is my go-to Fannie May. Like any other Fannie May stores, it is bright and clean, delightful looking with chocolates aroma as soon as I stepped inside. Somehow every time I came to this store, I was greeted by a different staff member. Good thing that they were all nice and friendly. This time I only needed to buy a box of Trinidads as gift. The lady advised me that the pre-packaged ones were the same as the ones inside her glass case, and both had the same expiration date, but the pre-packaged box was $28 while the one that she would put together would be $32 a box. I usually would have the staff put together a box, but with her information, I just went with a pre-packaged box. She also told me that two one-pound pre-packaged boxes would be $40. It was very tempting, but I decided that I don't need to eat extra sweet, so I declined. Very tempting, though! For many, Fannie May chocolates, including Trinidads, evoke a sense of nostalgia or tradition, whether from family gatherings, holidays, or special occasions. I will continue to buy their high-quality chocolates as gifts. Well, occasionally to indulge myself too! Hope that this Niles store will remain opened for many years to come!

I'm not a white chocolate fan normally but their Trinidad's (dark chocolate soft filling covered in white chocolate that's studded with tiny bits of toasted coconut) are such a perfect combination of textures and flavor. It's why Trinidad's are one of their best sellers. They have a milk chocolate enrobed version, but trust me that the Trinidad's are better! Really! The mint meltaways are icon as well: rich, soft chocolate with a whisper of mint. I had mentioned these to a chocolate fanatic friend and she demanded I bring her a sample when I visited Chicago, so had to stop by to deliver on my promise and indulge a childhood memory.
