Patina Wine Bar - Lava cake dessert. Was perfect

Patina Wine Bar

We've heard very good things about Patina and we're excited to try it tonight. As soon as we…read morewalked in the staff was very kind and attentive. We love the ambiance of the restaurant. It's very peaceful, romantic and a calm atmosphere. All of the food was delicious. The plating is so attractive! The dishes have great flavor but are healthier options. The portion sizes were perfect for what we desired. I'm not exaggerating when I say this was the best branzino I've ever had. The skin was crunchy and delicious. But the fish was not dry at all! There's nothing better than a juicy branzino fish and chef Jose nailed it! Matching with the sauce and beans was so much better than any other veggies or starch. The octopus was also cooked to perfection. The flavor and temperature was just right. Not too hot and such a great texture. We don't always order desserts but we had to see every course of the menu. We decided to go with a lava cake and it did not disappoint. It had that perfect contrast of hot and cold but it's served with gelato which gives it a nice touch of texture compared to standard ice cream. Chef Jose came out and introduced himself. We came in because we were enticed by a beef tartare that was on their menu in the past. We're hoping he brings it back on a special sometime soon. He said to give him a call and he'll try to accommodate whenever possible to make his customers happy. What an amazing restaurant. We cannot wait to come back and see what's new. Thank you for an amazing dinner and night!

Revisited after the full kitchen moved here from their other location. A superb experience! Our…read moreserver was incredibly attentive and friendly. The vibe here definitely meets a park ridge niche that nothing else does - intimate but elevated, a great date night place. Excellent cocktails and decent portions. Tuna tower was a fun app and we ordered lamb chops and a pasta for our mains. My only wish is that they had a slightly larger menu. I hope they add to it or do seasonal offerings because the selection is not too large and we pretty much maxed out what we'd be interested in trying in one visit. But they did it well and we enjoyed the Valentine's Day touched around the restaurant!

Mrs. Prindables is a great gift to give or receive (or order for yourself)…read more We have received them and gifted them (the apples), and they're always well received as a treat with a healthy center - but a LOT of treat on top. The packaging the apples come in is gorgeous with their brand color of purple, an adorable branded purple or red bow, and a box of the highest quality that you'll want to keep for storing other things (I put craft ribbons in one of mine, as an example)! There are about a dozen flavors to choose from for your candy apple, so you'll definitely find something amazing to order/send someone/grab for yourself. When you unbox the apple, you'll see they are gigantic and are definitely shareable between a few people. Or you can cut it up and save for later in the fridge. Mrs. Prindables has many other chocolaty delicious items too, like candy boxes, chocolate covered pretzels, and caramels and nut mixes. But just to reiterate, the apples are the absolute best thing to get! And best of all, for such a luxurious item and beautiful packaging - they aren't really that expensive, when you consider how much you spend on a gift usually. Definitely consider them for an upcoming gift or treat for yourself!

I finally tried one of these caramel apples after drooling over seeing them on QVC for years. What…read morea HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT, they are just awful. The chocolate tastes like it's low quality and the caramel just tastes weird. It's hard to screw up a caramel apple, but Mrs Prindible's did just that. The apple on the interior was good & fresh, but that was the only positive. ALSO, they apples were only slightly larger than a golf ball, so when you see them online, just know you're getting a teeny tiny little apple.

My wife and I went in for a large order of 10 pies (everything they had available) this Sunday,…read morewhich is the week of Christmas. As we walked in this place had a young boy and you girl working working the counter. Needless to say both were extremely inexperienced. Especially during the Christmas season and if they weren't they sure acted as if they were. I proceeded to order the remaining pies and when I asked if they could simply box 3 of the 10 pies up in a white box, the boy needed to seek "permission". When he came out he offered to charge extra. I replied "no problem, let's get them going". While he was in the middle of boxing them up another woman came in and ordered one of the pies. Rather than explain this to the young girl he stood there almost scared to say anything. We decided to watch this happen rather the interject since it was Christmas week. We honestly expected the staff member or boy to speak up and let the young girl know we had already ordered them. Well, he did not. And he then proceeded to tell us we were 2 pies short after waiting for 20 min with 4 customers within that time. We decided to just refuse the pies and thank him for the hospitality and left. Very disappointing and very disorganized. I absolutely recommend you avoid this bakery at all cost unless you want a single donut. Or until they decide to hire competent adult staff.
