So im here on a field trip with my son and his school and i must say thisnis a nice spot. Kid friendly and educational hints. There was a lady that explained pumpkins origin, how to care for them, what they are used for and etc. Did not know but pumpkins are in the squash Family.....so please bring CASH folks. It is a $3 card charge on your purchase. I was so caught off guard. There's rows of pumpkins kids can choose from as well as a little area to decorate them once you pick the pumpkin of your liking. There's hills, okd carriages, corn field, swings, slides, ziplines, jump area, etc. Each area had a kids story or poem to read while playing. Theres huhe hay bales but please be careful because kids were getting hurt from wreckless playing. Overall bring your little ones down and grab your camera for a fun filled patch!

Everyone gets to pick a pumpkin to take home.

If you are looking for some good wholesome fall season fun for your child/children, Mrs. Heather's Pumpkin Patch may be just what you're looking for. Admission for adults is free and it's only $7.00 per child, which includes a free pumpkin from their pumpkin patch. There is ample parking for a few hundred cars and there was even an armed deputy directing traffic off the main drag, as well as employees directing traffic into the parking lot. As per their website, activities include, but are not limited to: Zip line Jumping Pillow Tunnel Slide Face Painting Duck Racing Pedal Tractors See Cotton Growing Hay Maze Milk a Cow Roll Down the Hill Catch Mrs. Heather telling how pumpkins grow Merry go round Play Horse Shoes Nature Trail Lots of places to take pictures Weigh & Measure your pumpkin Bring a Picnic Lunch Paint a pumpkin (weekend only) Today (10/29/16) was a very hot day in Hammond, so we were grateful that there were 2 large tents with picnic style seating to cool down, rest and enjoy a cool drink or snack. Our son loved the nature trail, especially since it was shaded with large trees. He was also a big fan of the hay maze, cotton patch and the jumping pillow. Although we didn't stay too long because it was so hot, it was still worth the 1-hour drive from New Orleans. However, some of the equipment (swings, pedal tractors & bouncing pillow) is definitely showing it's age and could stand a little refurbishment; which is why I held back 1 star. But it was a good time overall.

It was awesome! The children had to much fun! We packed our own lunches and drinks that we were allowed to bring in! So many things to do! My suggestion to always go early. They were super packed. We waited like ten mins to go park with other vehicles before us, Not to bad! When we left it was around 2,it was about 3 blocks of vehicles waiting to go in the pumpkin patch! Well the early bird always get the worm! Awesome place! My family and I will be returning!

Super siked to spend my day off with my wife we decided to visit Mrs Heathers Pumpkin Patch. My wife read that over 38k people had visted this amazing Pumpkin patch. We drove in from Jackson MS. Confused as we arrived, looking for a stawberry and Pumpkin patch we saw a open field with a few rows of corn.. After paying 10.00 a person we were issued stickers. Right away I noticed little Pumpkins. Little might not by the right word. Miniscule is more like it.. I noticed junk that had been painted with a smiley face and was considered an attraction, although 767 signs saying basically no fun allowed. At the zip line my 109 lb wife went down the line...After crashing into the other side, she has since developed whip lash...This zip line is not safe for children...After being there for 10 minutes I knew I had been bamboozled! This place was a junkyard. No Pumpkin patch or strawberry. Just 4 Gaint grass parking lots with more signs saying what i could not do.. Dont waste your time..The Pumpkin is so small and had to be trucked in...Its a total scam and while Mrs Heathers getting wealthy my day off was miserable! 6 thumbs down...

Mrs. Heather's is the ultimate family-friendly place for homegrown, harvest season fun! Fun just never stops here and I think it has gets bigger and better each year we go. I have been taking my daughter here, since she was 1-years old and now she is going with her elementary school. It's $7/child (adults are free), endless fun with all the available activities and they get to pick a pumpkin to take home. There are no parking fees, covered spots to eat are available (so bring a lunch and/or snack depending on how long you stay), clean restrooms, water & snacks for sale and friendly/helpful staff. In terms of activities: inflatables, zip lining, slides, barrel swings, giant hay stacks for climbing, nature walk, corn maze and tire swings. During our last visit, cartoon characters even made an appearance! Mounds of fun for kids here, so while it's harvest season, take your kiddos here to Mrs. Heather's Pumpkin Patch to burn off some energy!

Seriously, it's such an action packed place! It only costs $7 per child to get in and you also get to choose a pumpkin. It doesn't cost the parents to get in which is a super plus! There are so many things for the kids to do. See pictures! I also love the fact that you get to bring your own food in so you can do a little picnic there. There are numerous picnic tables every where. I will definitely go back in few weeks. My 3-year old had so much fun! Oh, also, the kids can get their face painted as well! And it's free! There are also few cartoon characters that you can take pictures with. It's just a lot going on!!!

Here's my son with daffy sleeping or whatever she was doing... Lol

I brought my son there for a day of fun and I have to admit he really enjoyed himself especially with the characters.... The only reason I have chosen to give them 4 stars is because while we were taking pictures the person thy was dresses in. The daffy costume was sleeping on the benches, while we were trying to take pictures with her... Lol that was all but everything else was great and not to mention they give you a Pumkin to take home... How great is that?

They also host other events like- a berry bash, summer camp, farmer trade day, pancakes and pjs, and ties and tiaras. I visited for Halloween in 2018 when my son was about 10 months old and had a great day! They had a pumpkin patch, face painting, pumpkin carving, a costume contest, a corn maze, a petting zoo, a jumping area for the older kids, and so much more to see! Then staff were friendly and there was plenty of parking. They also have an elegant space for weddings/receptions. It is truly an enjoyable experience for the entire family.

When we got there, there was plenty of parking and very easy to find (thanks to signs along the way). Everything was organized from the get go. Several other schools were there, but they had plenty of workers to keep things running smoothly. I wanted to share their mission statement I found on the website because I agree they are doing this: "Mission Statement To provide an educational, "hands on" learning adventure for families and organizations of all ages. To spread the love of the land and animals to all our guests both big and small, and instill the importance of keeping the American Agricultural values alive. To provide a professional, clean environment with emphasis on safety and dignity for both our guests and our animals." Liuzza was definitely hands on and educational. I especially loved all the fun facts signs around, and in general the setup was simple with chalkboard and burlap but so cute and creative. Definitely knew we were at a farm, but it was just more cute than rough and rigid. The animals seemed happy, the strawberries were delicious and plentiful for the picking! I loved the bus tour and mule-drawn trailer ride but could have honestly loved if they had told us more about the land and the history. Such a beautiful and well kept up place though! I was so surprised to see that they do weddings here! A beautiful outdoor area was set up for a wedding and there's the most precious, little chapel! Definitely a romantic setting for a wedding!! I would just love to be a guest for one here! I hope to be able to return on the open to the public days or even a special occasion like their Easter egg hunt. We were there for probably only 3 hours but definitely could have stayed longer. We fed goats, saw a zebra eating among all the horses, saw cows, an alpaca, a sheep, geese, but we managed to miss the pigs and bunnies. Must go back for those! The kids went crazy over the awesome slide built into a hill and the big jumpy thing (don't know what those are called lol). We definitely must return and so should you!!

This location was historically an open-air market, but was completely renovated with overhead doors that can be closed in inclement weather. They have more space, and more pleasant shopping conditions (especially during summer). Southside Produce isn't a farmers market, but they do sell local produce whenever available. When I was in today, they were showcasing local cauliflower, but also had some beautiful fresh Brussel Sprouts from a farm in California. Their fresh produce is always fresh and high quality regardless of its source. Another amazing area they have is the extensive frozen produce aisle. These include virtually every type of frozen vegetable and fruit. I also noted a selection of local meat products in the coolers, these included quite the selection of sausages! In the preserved products, Southside also has you covered. They have their own brand of pickled, jellied, and preserved foods of all sorts. They also sell other name brands. They have syrups and oils, and other similar products. This is an area that's expanded over the years, and is now quite extensive. Then there are the other products that one can find there. These include things like a significant selection of dried beans and rice, local bread products from a number of bakeries, and cypress furniture. In the right season, you can buy fruit trees to plant in your yard or garden. In all seasons, I recommend Southside as a great place to buy healthy and interesting houseplants. I am always amazed by their selection. Service is always great as well. Normally, one need only take their selections to the counter in the center to be rung up. Their registers accept all modern forms of payment including tap to pay (min $4 on credit cards though). If you need any other help, they will be glad to provide it. Everyone seems cheerful and pleasant. I've been going to Southside Produce for decades now. I felt it was overdue to write a review. It's one of those great Baton Rouge places that you need to visit on a regular basis. I stop by often when I'm in the area.
