Manny was a pleasure to work with. He was extremely professional and communicated regularly throughout the job. My basement came out beautiful. Highly recommend! read more

This is the second time I've used MRBK, and I can't wait to use them for my next project. To say Manny is a pleasure to work with is a complete understatement. He truly cares about the work and customer satisfaction, he's communicative and he rolls with whatever gets uncovered (crooked walls, 6 layers of flooring, management companies). Now to the work. It's beautiful. I'm so thrilled with how it turned out. It's exactly what I imagined. You can see in the pics. Stunning. Oh, and I got several quotes and his was completely reasonable! read more

I've just finished a bathroom renovation with MRBK Construction. Manny and his team were a pleasure to work with. Manny was on the job site every day working with his employees. I am a designer and this was very important to me. In my experience, not a lot of company owners do that. He was very communicative and easily overcame any issues that arose with excellent results. He has integrity and is a perfectionist. I feel lucky to have found him and would work with him again anytime. read more

From start to finish Manny and his team amazed us withh their professionalism, craftsmanship and organization. They were very detailed and we couldn't be more pleased with our kitchen and livingroom floors/walls renovation. They removed wall paper that was painted over from the previous owner and painted the walls beautifully when every other contractor said we needed new sheet rock installed. It was worth every cent! If you hire Manny and his team you will not regret it. It was truly a wonderful transformation!! read more

I am very happy with MRBK Inc's work in my apartment. From our first interaction on the Yelp app, Manny was quick to respond and request my number for a detailed discussion of the work. Manny stopped by to see the painting work I wanted done in my apartment and explained to me a few different options. MRBK Inc respected the building's work hours and was able to conduct the work efficiently and to the highest degree of my satisfaction. Great customer service, competitive pricing, and an overall great experience! I would definitely recommend MRBK Inc for any remodeling jobs you may be considering. read more

Manny and MRBK have been a trusted company for years. We have worked with Manny since 2019 mainly because he is honest, thorough, responsive and punctual. Traits that can be tough to find among contractors in NY. We will continue to work with and recommend Manny him as our preferred general contractor in New York. read more

Manny and his team did a full renovation of my apartment and I can't say enough wonderful things about him and his crew! The quality of work is beyond exceptional. Manny is a perfectionist and supervised every day of the 4 months he spent here. I am beyond pleased there is not one issue of all the work that was done here. He is honest and respectful and guided me through all the work. He has wonderful judgment and he and his crew greeted me every day with a smile. Manny is also fair and reasonable I am so impressed with his work and character and professionalism. read more

I can't say enough amazing things about Manny. I initially found Manny based on his Yelp reviews, and while initially worried about some of the other reviews, I actually appreciated that he took the time to respond to negative reviews. I decided to reach out to meet him and have him see our new 2 bedroom for some renovations before moving in. From the beginning, he was open and honest about what he could do and how long it would take. He was transparent about things he felt were outside his wheelhouse and where it could be better or even cheaper (no middleman) to have pieces done externally (e.g. electrical work, installing Elfa closets, millwork/carpentry). I've had construction done in places before, and last time, the contractor was 3 weeks late on a one-bedroom. So while I got a timeline of almost 8 weeks for the work, he insisted that he did not want to be one to undersell the time and he'd rather underpromise and overdeliver. He really instilled trust from the onset, and gladly, it's something I never lost. He ended up finishing only one day late...even though I added to the scope along the way. Manny was at the project site nearly every day, whereas I've had other contractors bring in a team and move on to the next project. Manny was actually hands-on in doing the work, taking every measurement, and ensuring the perfect execution of every detail. He's a perfectionist, and he took this project as if it was his own home. If something didn't look right or mismeasured, he'd point it out himself and re-do the task himself. He readily helped us think through every detail, even guiding us in our decision of where to be cost-effective vs where we should invest for quality in buying things like lighting, finishes, etc. He did such an incredible job with out apartment, we couldn't be happier with the quality of the work, his attentiveness to detail, and his responsiveness to us -- whether by phone, text, or email. I've since recommended him to my family for a variety of projects- big and small. I most certainly will be using him again for my own needs, and in fact he's already come back to look at some botched, partially completed millwork that I decided to source through another company. read more

BEWARE! Although Manny was on time, I was shocked when he delivered the bid. 1. Required $275 for bid, of which I was not informed ahead of time (but told that the fee would be deducted if MRBK performed the job).-ABSURD and unacceptable! 2. This bid was $10-15k more than any other bid received. Will not be using them. read more

I hired Manny and his team to paint my entire 1 bedroom apartment which overall was a very pleasant experience. Manny was very attentive to my needs, was incredibly thorough in his explanation of what him and his team can do for me, as well as providing a very reasonable quote which ended up being lower than the others I received. He was able to start right away and finished earlier than expected. I would recommend MRBK inc to anyone and will be using them again for any future projects! read more

I originally hired Manny to redo our circa 1950s upstairs bathroom which had plumbing and tile problems and was long overdue for work. He did a total renovation of the bathroom, including replacing the tub with a shower stall, repairing the trim around a small window, and tiling the floor and shower stall, all to the highest standard. I was so pleased that I then kept adding things that I had long put off but also needed to be done in my 110-year-old Brooklyn rowhouse -- replacement of ceramic tiles on my back deck, resetting concrete blocks that lead into the yard, fixing cracks in the hallway walls downstairs, putting in a new ceiling in the downstairs bathroom when the old one literally collapsed into the tub, and the most difficult job, dealing with perennial water problems in my basement office. Manny did excellent work on all of these, and every step of the way was a pleasure to deal with -- communicative, responsive, reasonably priced, and always eager to figure out the exact best solution to the work at hand. He is also very meticulous; for example, there is a curvature in the hallway wall that he replicated in the sheetrock and baseboard, and he managed the art of making the new door framing in the bathroom blend with the old framing in the hall. As you can tell, I've returned to him repeatedly and he is always very responsive and helpful. I would also add that he is quite careful to minimize the disruption that having work done on the house while we continue to live here, cleaning up for the weekend, containing dust, and so forth. Highly recommended. read more

Manny came recommended by a friend and I could not be happier with the results. Manny gutted and remodeled the two full bathrooms in my home on a very tight schedule over the summer. Manny offered suggestions but never made a design decision on his own even calling me on whatsapp when I was out of the country to make sure he was giving me what I wanted. Manny provided a written quote, which he did not deviate from and at the end of the job charged a fair price for the extras I requested and provided receipts for everything extra he had purchased. The workmanship and quality of the work are outstanding. Also and very important to me, Manny treated my home with such respect leaving it as clean as it could be at the end of each day and over the weekends. I highly recommend MRBK Construction!! read more

Manny did a beautiful job painting one of my bedrooms in Manhattan. He was responsive and professional and I would highly recommend MRBK Inc for anyone looking for painting services in NYC. I'll be calling Manny for future projects I may want to do in my apartment. read more

Very disappointed! Manny came to my home to repair floor joists in my crawlspace. He stated that he would sister the beams, requested to be paid for half the job to purchase materials, and never completed the job. Two engineers looked at his work and stated that he used the wrong materials and did an ineffective job which was going to make it more difficult to repair. He kept the money for a job that was not completed and had to be redone the correct way. I was completely taken advantage of as I trusted that he knew what he was doing. Thankfully, I found a good contractor that did the work with the correct materials and did not require any money until the job was completed, and he charged less. read more

Manny and his team did work in my kitchen about 9 months and couldn't be happier. They did a greasy job redoing my kitchen floor, my tiles were cracking due to floor being uneven in my apartment. They leveled, matched same tiles and haven't had an issue since. Thank you sooo much manny and I am definitely recommending you and your crew. Highly professional, friendly, and excellent work. read more

If I could give them more than five stars, I would. Hired them to do some plastering/spackling/painting repairs/touchups in my co-op apartment. Professional from start to finish. The only one of the many contractors I called who actually called me back. Gave me a contract with the breakdown of costs. Was able to start the job shortly thereafter. Showed up each morning at the designated time. Used plastic and drop cloths while working and cleaned up every speck after each visit. The quality of their workmanship and attention to detail was A-1. I found my go-to contractor. read more

I had a very bad experience with MRBK. Things were initially going well -- quick response, Menahem came out and gave an oral quote. When I tried to get the quote in writing, however, he explained that this would cost an additional $150. This struck me as bizarre and off-putting. Oral quotes -- free; written quotes -- $150? Not an acceptable business practice. Obviously, I went with the competition that doesn't engage in this type of chicanery. read more

We've been working with Manny and his team for a few weeks and we can honestly say it's been such a pleasure. We initially contracted Manny to repair two decks in our recently purchased home. We knew that some of the workmanship in our house was not the best and told Manny our concerns from the start. He was able to walk through every step of the process with us and put our minds at ease. Through no fault of MRBK, we ended up needing more work than we had originally planned. Manny made sure that we understood what was going on during every day of the process and was extremely dedicated to making our home safe and beautiful. Should we ever need more work in the future, MRBK will be our first and only call. read more

Manny and his crew were terrific. They were brought in to paint the back of my house, a place where spend a lot of time. They arrived on time. Manny and his team were exceptional! What can I say but from the time he met me for an estimate to the day we wrapped up it was a pleasure dealing with him. MRBK Inc. was the only company that gave me an estimate right on the spot. His team was amiable and worked very hard. My condo unit required approvals and rules that had to be followed. Manny knocked it out the park with the right things to say to a board and a super to want his information after my job was completed. They are very good at what they do. My unit was cleaned up exceptionally well after demolition and install of a wall we had put up. Good quality of work at a very, very reasonable price. They even contributed lots of extras into my job, like the plywood in the wall for my TV to mount easily and the special paint needed for my french doors. The only surprises after the estimate were how Manny and his team exceeded my expectations. I would highly recommend MRBK Inc. for any job small or large. read more
