My family made a reservation because they wanted to celebrate my birthday, so I was really looking forward to it. When it is your birthday, even a small detail feels a little more important. You want the night to feel special, smooth, and happy from the beginning. Unfortunately, when we arrived, there seemed to be a small issue with the reservation, and the table we were given was much smaller than expected. Since we were there as a family for a birthday dinner, it felt uncomfortable at first. I have to be honest -- my mood was not great in the beginning. It was one of those moments where you think, "Oh no, is this how the night is going to start?" But then the food started coming out, and Hachi completely turned the night around. The first thing that changed my mood was the beer. The draft beer was served in an unbelievably icy-cold mug. It was not just cold -- it looked and felt like it had come straight out of a freezer. The foam was smooth, the beer was crisp, and the first sip was so refreshing that I almost forgot I had been upset a few minutes earlier. That beer alone deserves applause. Sometimes a perfect cold beer can fix a whole mood, and this one absolutely did. The biggest highlight of the night was the tuna toro. It was incredible. The texture was so soft and delicate that it almost felt like cotton candy melting in my mouth. Rich, buttery, fresh, and so smooth. It was the kind of bite that makes everyone at the table stop talking for a second. We loved it so much that we ordered it three times. Ordering the same dish three times says everything. It was not a maybe. It was not a "let's think about it." It was a clear yes every time. The skewers were also very good. The grilled meats had a nice smoky flavor, and they were seasoned well without being too salty. They paired perfectly with the icy beer. But the shrimp skewer was especially memorable. The shrimp had that perfect bouncy, juicy texture. It was grilled nicely, still tender, and full of natural sweetness. Some grilled shrimp can become dry or forgettable, but this one had personality. Small skewer, big impact. We also enjoyed several other izakaya-style dishes. The grilled shishito peppers with bonito flakes were simple but delicious, and they helped balance out the richer dishes. The grilled squid had a great smoky flavor and a chewy texture that went so well with beer. These are exactly the kinds of dishes that make izakaya dining so fun -- one bite, one sip, one more bite, and suddenly the table is full of happy people. The sashimi platter was fresh and beautifully served over ice. There was a nice variety, including tuna, salmon, white fish, scallop, and ikura. Everything looked clean and fresh, and the presentation made it feel even more enjoyable. But honestly, the toro was the star. I will probably remember that toro for a long time. My daughter ordered tonkatsu, and that was also a huge hit. Sometimes at restaurants like this, kids' dishes can feel like an afterthought, but this tonkatsu was really good. It was crispy, flavorful, and satisfying. Seeing my daughter enjoy her food made my birthday dinner even better. As a mom, when your child eats well and is happy, the whole meal suddenly feels more peaceful. That is just the truth. Overall, Hachi started with a little frustration because of the reservation issue and the small table, but the food and drinks completely saved the night. The icy-cold beer, the amazing tuna toro, the juicy shrimp skewer, and the tonkatsu were all memorable. The food was strong enough to make us forget the rough beginning, and by the end of the meal, we were all happy. Las Vegas has so many flashy restaurants, but Hachi has that casual, comfortable izakaya charm. It is the kind of place where you order many small dishes, share with the table, drink something cold, and let the night slowly become fun. I would definitely come back next time I am in Las Vegas. Next time, I already know what I am ordering first: an icy-cold beer and tuna toro. And honestly, I may order the toro twice from the beginning, because one order is definitely not enough.

The quality is consistently outstanding, with fresh fish, creative specialty rolls, and a menu that offers far more variety than most AYCE places. Every visit starts with great service and ends with a very happy, very full customer. The sushi is always beautifully prepared, the portions are just right, and everything comes out fresh and fast. Whether you're ordering classic nigiri, specialty rolls, appetizers, or grilled items, it's clear that quality is a priority here. What really sets Sushi Neko apart is how they maintain restaurant-quality sushi while still offering an AYCE experience. It's the perfect place for both sushi enthusiasts and those looking to explore different flavors without breaking the bank. If you're looking for the best AYCE sushi in Las Vegas, Sushi Neko is the standard by which I judge every other sushi restaurant. It remains my favorite spot in town with a fun ambiance and never disappoints.

I ultimately chose the bento box, since I wanted to try a few different things. And that was a good move. For only 16 dollars, it came with spicy pork, a piece of gyoza, takoyaki, chicken skewer, 4 pcs of california roll, salad, and rice. It also came with miso soup. What a steal! Everything on that plate was amazing, especially the takoyaki. My friend got tonkatsu and corn cheese. Loved the corn cheese but the serving size was too small. Just a heads up: the Katsu is served with sauce on top. It was unexpected. The menu didn't say anything, there were no ingredients or info listed. The picture also didn't show that. Not sure what I'm trying next time, but I'm definitely excited for my next visit. Service was exceptional. Very attentive and accommodating. Ambiance was nice, and it had a good vibe. Plenty of parking space. This is another one of those "definitely worth a try" places :)

The lunch specials they had went up to $10.99 just FYI came to find out at the end of our disappointing meal that they are under a new ownership which made sense why the quality went down, I guess the original owner opened up a new spot in California and sold this place end of June this year. I ordered the chicken katsu bento box for $14.00 and husband ordered the tonkatsu ramen lunch special level 4 spicy, bento box presentation is nice came w a lot but my katsu arrived on the cold side so definitely not fried fresh, sushi is not fresh it was a bit mushy, the side of sweet pork was dry and chewy the rest was just ok also my bento box arrived 5 mins after my husband got his ramen by the way. Husband's ramen tasted like a bland watery ramen and it wasn't even the level 4 spicy. I barely ate my food it was unsatisfying I didn't even had it in me to take it to go. The recipe definitely changed even though the server said it's the same, don't get me wrong the server was nice and friendly but let's just say this would be the last time we are coming back here. Also they should throw they're bowls that has chips on it it's very unprofessional that you are serving food w that. On top of it they charge you a fee now for not paying in cash. I honestly don't see this place staying open for long.

I decided to stop by with my husband to check out the new H Mart on a Saturday afternoon, around noon. Surprisingly the food court wasn't terribly busy and you are still able to find plenty of tables around this time. Anyways, after browsing the restaurants, I ended up deciding upon Saku because I wanted rice and felt like having katsu. I ended up purchasing: Tonkatsu Donburi, $13.75 prior to tax- This bowl was pretty big and really a portion for 2 people. I really wished I had ordered one of the mini donburi bowls instead since my husband ended up deciding he didn't want to share my meal and ended up ordering food at another vendor in the food hall. The bowl had a nice large piece of chicken katsu, plenty of rice, egg, onions, shredded seaweed and a sweet soy sauce based sauce. I really liked it. -------------------------------- (Total= $14.90 after tax) Wait time was about 10 minutes. I just had to wait for my number to be called before heading over to get my tray. Overall, I had a great experience and would consider trying Saku again the next time I am visiting this food hall.

When H Mart opened there, it quickly became one of my first stops for meals. One standout stall was Saku Japanese Eatery, where a sign advertising their Premium Katsu Bento Box immediately caught my eye--and it absolutely lived up to expectations. The bento came with a generous assortment of items, and everything tasted outstanding. My personal favorite was the fried squid, which was perfectly crispy and full of flavor. We enjoyed Saku so much that we ended up coming back again later in the week. The quality, variety, and execution really impressed me, especially for a food hall setting. It's the kind of place that makes you slow down and appreciate each bite, and I would happily order the same bento again on a future visit.
