I've been coming to this location for years, and it's always been one of my favorite places for sushi. The sushi is consistently fresh and absolutely delicious. The staff are always so friendly, welcoming, and smiling the moment you walk in, which makes every visit even better. The atmosphere is quiet and relaxing, making it a great spot to sit down and enjoy a meal. It's one of those places I keep coming back to because I know I'll always have a great experience. I love sushi. I got the all you can eat sushi so I could eat sushi. After a funky tuna roll, I had to order everything but sushi. Let's discuss. I started with nigiri. I got salmon, yellowtail and eel. All were perfectly fine. The rice was fine. They weren't fishy. They weren't amazing. They were fine. So far so good. I ordered tochi, which was the fried jalapeno. Oh I love this! And then I got it. Theirs is not stuffed with spicy tuna. Theirs is stuffed with crab. The problem is that you can't taste the crab because it's overpowered by the jalapeno. It was ok. I wouldn't get it again. The mushrooms were good. These had the same ingredients as the jalapeno, but here it worked because the mushrooms are mild. I would recommend these. Then came the spicy tuna. The tuna was excellent. I see pictures of the spicy tuna sushi and it has cucumber in it. I did not get cucumber. Mine was a hard wedge that was bitter. I'm pretty sure it was daikon. It was ok. Cucumber would have been better. The issue came with the rice. It was severely overcooked and rubbery. It stretched and it was nasty. I ate a few with it and the rubbery mush made me gag. I tried doctoring it up by putting lots of wasabi and ginger on it. I even put some pepper flakes from my edamame on it. The texture just was so yucky though. I ended up peeling off the rubber rice and putting it in my napkin. This roll was a 4/10. The tuna was so good though. That was it's only saving grace. After choking down this roll, there was no way I was ordering another sushi roll and risking getting horrid rice. No thanks. I ordered some miso soup, which tasted like a chicken broth and it was so good. I ordered spicy edamame, which was the star of the show. It's sad that was the star. I'm not going to come back for edamame. It was really good though. I got green tea mochi. That was lovely. My server was attentive and friendly. She got me extra napkins and was checking on me quite a bit. I ate at the bar where they had a stockpile of little containers with ginger and wasabi. One of the workers sat the large container of ginger on the floor and was filling small plastic to-go containers from there. I was thinking why on the floor, and how many small containers do you need? There were already so many. AYCE anytime was $28. I gave $40 to cover that and the tip. I just drank water. I can't get around the fact that I don't feel good about ordering sushi here. That's the main attraction. I can't justify coming back. read more

Best AYCE I've ever experienced. Normally you go to AYCE with expectations for some basic, not great quality fish with too much rice to fish proportions. Not at Super Sushi! I went on Friday during lunch and it was fairly empty. The quality was very good, the service was excellent and the price was worth it. The nigiri came with the perfect amount of rice and the cut was perfect. I was able to fully enjoy myself. The "super upgrade" price of $32.95 was worth the quality of the uni, I almost bought a second uni nigiri but decided to save myself some money. I've had a lot of uni and this is definitely around mid tier making it worth it. Definitely tasted fresh. The only thing I didn't like was the sashimi roll, it just wasn't for me but thankfully they didn't charge me for leaving a couple pieces (I was also STUFFED). The staff were very friendly and checked in on me multiple times. They got the food out fairly quickly and were patient. It's a small place that's not decorated super but it still felt very cozy. We weren't feeling well and wanted miso soup to help settle our stomachs. Super Sushi was not far from us and seemed our best bet. Called in our order to which a friendly woman answered the phone and repeated back our order correctly. Upon arriving, the restaurant only had one table with customers around 6pm during the week. Order was ready upon arriving. They do offer free items for spending $20, $40 & $60 on your visit. We were given a choice between egg rolls or cucumber salad for our spend amount. Upon getting home we discussed the miso was a darker brown than what we typically get. The taste seemed to lack the sodium flavor we were looking for. The rolls were inconsistent on how they were made. Same roll but some pieces would have more rice than others. The fish didn't taste or seem fresh. We ended up pulling lots of the rice off. Ordered off Postmates and was not a fan. I ordered 2 rolls and they were crammed into a small container and stacked on eachother. Nothing dazzling nothing special nothing you haven't seen before The staff is cool Does they customary "someone just walked in" greeting. Grabbing a seat at the bar I quickly notice its not packed but there are a few ppl in there. they all look like they stumbled in like me- tryna beat the heat. The host/waitress brings me a menu and returns 23 seconds later asking if Im ready... All you can eat sushi is one of the five best things about living in Las Vegas, because literally every single place has this option and let's face it, it's amazing. It was my turn to pick what we ate on a Sunday afternoon and since Sushi was on the mind (It pretty much is every Sunday actually) I Yelped Sushi and went to the first place we hadn't tried yet. Super Sushi is a nice and small little restaurant located inside of a plaza with plenty of parking. When we entered this place there was only one or two other parties eating but by the time we left the place was pretty packed. I struggle to review these all you can eat sushi places the same way I review others so I'm just going to list what I ordered and what I thought. Miso Soup- Standard Miso Soup and a solid way to start off any meal! Shrimp Tempura Roll- Golden Tiger Roll- Usually I stay away from anything with cream cheese, however the shrimp tempura, avocado, spicy crab with spicy mayo, eel sauce, and crunch were calling my name and I needed to try it. This roll was a whole sort of deep fried feeling. It was large, tasted delicious, and was probably my favourite roll of the meal. Popcorn Shrimp Roll- This has become a staple of what I order at any sushi restaurant. This roll featured all the popcorn shrimp on the top of it so most of them fell off before the sushi actually went into my mouth, either way, it all tasted good and I was very pleased with this roll. Snow Corn Roll- The last of the sushi rolls, this baked Snow Corn Roll was something I have not had before. This roll with crab meat, avocado, and white fish had a bit of a unique flavour to it (thanks to the white fish) and although it was solid, it's probably not a roll I would order again. That's the bulk of what I ordered (I think I may of forgotten one) and even though I definitely sampled one or two of my girlfriends, I couldn't pick them out of a crowd for the life of me. The meal itself was fun and left me both full and satisfied from the experience. Somehow, the only pictures I managed to take was of one of my girlfriends rolls and the miso soup.....I guess I was a little distracted. My only concern was that the gentleman working was definitely a tad overwhelmed due to being by himself, but he did an incredible job of taking care of everyone and big kudos to him for that! Overall, this place was pretty great and I would highly recommend giving this place a shot for yourself! read more

Hi everyone, My wife and I are one of the AYCE sushi fan. Been around Las Vegas in many sushi Restaurants. In Most places Price has gone up and the quality has gone down in the same time. And not to mention any restaurant name to be discredited. We really got tired of all of them, because every time we felt sushi and we kept going to the same several top choice place and disappointed every time we go in the last couple of years. We felt like being ripped off because of the very low quality of the produce and the way they prepared their sushi neither Rolls or Nigiris. And again today we felt like eating sushi again.... I was thinking in my mind was all I wanted is a small sushi restaurant, not too crowded, with good decent quality Rolls that also serves Half roll so we can try several different ones and good Nigiri which is so hard to find one now a days. What I mean is the one that really pay attention to detail of every bite they serves. Found Super Sushi on Yelp, didn't look up on any reviews or anything, just went thru their photos.. only saw pictures posts from 4,5 6 years ago and was wondering why barely any pictures recently. We decided to took a chance and give this place a try. Nice waitress welcome. Looked around the interior was just an ordinary self decor from the business owner. Just happened to be a Tuesday Specials of $22.99 on the basic menu. Decided to go with that because it was our first time and we didn't expected anything to be good and worth paying like other places. Everything turned out to be an opposite! All Nigiris we ordered was good, Rolls was great and Appetizers was awesome !! The Wings wasn't fried like in the menu said but, it was very nice tender stewed wings, Beef skewed was Tender for me as well, my wife doesn't like this style of beef but I loved it. Loved the way the Owner Chef cut and prepared the fishes, made good rolls ( not too much sauces just perfect. Everything was Simple but, good and we loved it. One thing I have to mention and let everyone know is the restaurant is very clean. I'd looked around and see how they prep all the take out sauces and packages and little things the corners... they are neat and clean ! This Super Sushi restaurant is clean and delicious! We shall come back for sure and try the upgraded menu without a second thought. So we can try out the Hamachi Kama, Sweet shrimp, Ikura, etc. Didn't even though this restaurant turned out to be good for us even the surroundings wasn't. Waiter was friendly but service was slow even half the restaurant was empty. The fish was good but not the highest quality. The biggest blunder was the sushi rice. Its texture was grainy and mushy. We have tried most of the AYCE places on the east side, a few in Chinatown. This was a new one to hit and it didn't disappoint. Service and atmosphere was great. Fresh fish, nice rice ratio and plenty of variety of rolls. Tempura was light, crispy and seasoned well. Miso was rich and delicious. Deep fried rolls didn't have a super thick cakey/doughy coating like most places. AYCE price was pretty average. My only complaint would be $3 each canned soda. $25 in drinks for 4 seemed steep. I questioned it unfairly because it's in a strip mall that isn't the nicest, but upon walking in and ordering nigiri that was portioned SO well (read: only a quarter size of rice to a full slice of the freshest salmon). Their hot sake on Sunday evening was 8.95 BOGO! To get out of there under $40 with all of that included I was just blown away. Seriously some of the freshest fish I've had in town yet. There are so many good sushi restaurants in Las Vegas, especially off the strip where prices are much more reasonable and there's very little drop-off in food quality compared to on the strip. (Note: The Strip being more expensive is somewhat related to higher food quality in general, but by far related mostly to fancier ambiance and the ability to charge tourists whatever and they'll still pay.) I've lived in Vegas since 2017 and moved from Paradise (i.e. just east of Strip) to Spring Valley (i.e. just west of Strip) in 2021. My favorite sushi spot in all of Las Vegas was in my old neighborhood, but now that it was a bit of a drive away (especially on weekends when Strip traffic is insane!) I set about to find a new sushi spot of comparable quality that was closer to my new place. Being closer to Spring Mountain and the Asian commercial corridor, there was no shortage of sushi spots around me... and no shortage of REALLY GOOD sushi spots, as I soon found out. I've tried at least 15 different sushi joints alone in Spring Valley, and most of them I would consider good to excellent even by L.A. standards (with the added bonus of being 25-50% cheaper than L.A.) A few of these I come back to once every few months for certain special things on their menus, but there's only one that I go to 1-2 times a month: Super Sushi. I first stumbled upon this place a couple of years ago out of sheer convenience: it's in the same aging strip mall as my bank and grocery store. From the sign on their window they do AYCE and I was starving, so I walked in to try it without reading any reviews, motivated to support a small business owner in my neighborhood regardless of how things would go. (It's Vegas baby, we all roll the dice sometimes.) At the time, Super Sushi's interior decor was as aging and as minimalist as the strip mall storefronts, which did its job in lowering my expectations. However, I was pleasantly surprised that the AYCE menu had so many options, even for cooked items. Even if it was subpar, at the very least I could try a little of everything and then just get second or third rounds of the few things I ended up liking. I sh*t you not, I was BLOWN AWAY by how nearly everything on their menu was at least above average, with a handful of cooked appetizers common to Japanese menus qualifying as superb and the freshness of their raw fish qualifying as excellent for every single cut I ordered. I couldn't fathom how this no-name hole-in-the-wall spot - one that none of my sushi-loving Vegas locals ever brought up in suggestions - was serving sushi as good as, if not better than, fancier restaurants I had been to on the Vegas Strip, Hollywood and West L.A. And for over a year I had no clue why this was the case.... I just did my duty and kept showing up as a customer at least twice a month, tried nearly everything on their menu and told everyone I knew that they needed to try out this gem of a spot. And every time I went back, the quality of the food and the dining experience remained consistently superior. When sushiphile friends (some sushi snobs living in big coastal cities) would come to town, I'd beg them to ditch their favorite spot on the strip and come with me to try this place out. And to a T, they've all come away insanely impressed by this spot... which validated that I wasn't trippin' or biased as a neighborhood regular who they treat with amazing service every time they see me. (FYI, My faves: Super white tuna, unagi, beef skewers, salmon skin hand rolls, albacore, Golden Knight roll, spider roll, shrimp lover roll) Over the years, the interior decor of this spot has grown nicer and nicer, implying that business is growing and so many more people in Spring Valley have discovered the secret of Super Sushi. And a year or so ago, one of the decorative items they added to their walls was a sign telling the owner and head chef's personal story. Reading this sign, I FINALLY found out why this place is top-tier: Super Sushi's main man, Paul, learned how to make sushi while living in Japan and spent decades honing his craft in Tokyo, and then for 15 years was the head sushi chef a top restaurant in the five-star Monte Carlo Resort on the Strip. Mystery solved! Monte Carlo is long gone, but one of its most precious treasures is still in Vegas and is serving up sublime sushi in a quiet strip mall on Flamingo and Jones. Crazy part is that of the 30 or so (!) times I've been here (including today while writing this well-deserved Yelp review), Paul has NEVER not been behind the sushi counter blessing me with his world-class experience and talent. He and his wonderful staff are reason this place has now become my favorite sushi spot in this city, and on my Top 10 list for sushi spots in the entire country.
