I ordered take-out from this restaurant: two battered marlin fish tacos. They messed up my order and gave me grilled fish tacos (1 star off) but I didn't realize this until I left the restaurant. I didn't want to go back again. The grilled fish tacos were not bad. Marlin fish is like bacon of the fishes! The tacos themselves had a lot of sauce so they were drippy to eat (1 star off). Fantastic food and amazing staff. I had a wonderful time here and I highly recommend it. The staff was attentive and the restaurant was very clean. I started off with a frozen margarita and then ended up getting the shrimp salad and the fried shrimp and scallops. The shrimp salad was the winner of both dishes. OMG! We were staying in Nuevo Vallarta and ended up in the area. We wandered in and WOW. We ordered the coconut shrimp app, breaded scallops and chips, and grilled shrimp tacos. Everything was outstanding! They gave us a magical "secret recipe" sauce for our tacos that was outstanding. They gave my husband secret sauce to take home. He has it packed away like it's gold. Bucerias is known for its seafood - and this place is recommended by locals and popular with many long-term visitors (due to good food and service). I visited on my birthday. After a very tasty meal of red snapper with vegetables and coleslaw (and a taste of my girlfriend's marlin ajillo with salad and rice), the staff surprised my by bringing me some kind of complimentary Kahlua drink for digestion - followed by a small banana-chocolate b-day cake and a few birthday songs in Spanish. I really liked the music they played throughout the meal (older Mexican pop songs by singers like Juan Gabriel). I also recommend their (natural) piñadas (or fresh limonadas). Maybe the sun drenched walk up the beach created an appetite that was easy to please or maybe we just hit the jackpot with this place, because everything from the food to the service and atmosphere was just what a tourist wants in a little Mexican seaside town. The fish and chips were the best I have ever had, made from mahi mahi. It was served English style with malted vinegar, cole slaw, and crispy fries. My wife had the Big Burrito with chicken; the mix of peppers, onions and an amazing white sauce made me envy it. The onion rings were a 10. The margarita was HUGE and plenty strong. Total price was $18 US dollars. Skip the beach front traps and go one street back to enjoy a great meal. I cannot wait to comeback. read more

Great service and refreshing cocktails. We shared the Coconut Shrimp and I found the breading to be heavy, too sweet, and maybe a bit undercooked. Enjoyed a couple generously sized margaritas. Prices were reasonable. Our bill came to 290 pesos which is about $20 Canadian. read more

We had heard this was a good place to come from others. Friendly service. The food was quite good. Fish tacos were very good and full . The fajitas were just ok and kind of a small portion. Margaritas were made with the addition of simple syrup which I am not a fan of. We may try this again when we return. read more

We visited in January 2017, several times, while we were on vacation. I'm only now writing this review 1) because I forgot to while on vacation and 2) because I am planning another trip to Bucerias and was on Yelp just now hoping and praying this amazing place is still there. Each time we visited, we were seated quickly and attended to by some of the most polite staff we have ever had the pleasure of receiving. We were a group of 5, that's two adults and three kids and even with one very picky eater, we all found something amazing to eat. My favorite has to be the coconut shrimp, which I will insist on ordering each and every time we go back. Kids had tacos of varying type, all plates were cleaned, and in the case of the ice cream, licked. Do yourself a favor and check out this reasonably priced great restaurant. read more
