Back again this year and Barracuda is still my ultimate favorite lunch stop. We were in San Pancho for 4 lunches, and ate at Barracuda 3 of the days. I'm obsessed with the shrimp taco, the fish taco, and the tuna tartar, but really every single thing on the menu is amazing. Don't skip the fresh fruit juices, the passion/kiwi is out of this world. I was craving pescado Zarandeado, so ordered a "Zarandeda" and for our surprise the fish looked a piece of Mahi Mahi from Costco and they just marinated it. (We buy that at Costco all the time so we know). I was very disappointed. Hopefully they read this review and do something good out of it. I had dinner tonight at Barracuda in San Pancho with my husband, we sat at a table near the street and got to people watch which was fun. There is a lot of seating inside/outside. Saying the food was great is an understatement. The food was amazing, for appetizers we had calamari and the spinach goat cheese salad. The calamari was perfectly cooked and was incredibly flavorful. I don't drink but they had a list of mocktail options and Corona zero which I was pleasantly surprised with since we don't have Corona zero back home. Our main course consisted of shrimp and fish tacos, both cooked amazing and loved the coleslaw type cabbage on it for a little sweetness. I ate every bite of the salad too it was so good. Service of course was very pleasant and warm thanks to our server David! 10/10 on everything. read more

We came here as a recommendation from our friend, and it was so delicious that we came back again during our 1-week vacation! Locals will say this is one of the best places in San Pancho. Everything that we got was amazing not to mention the great vibes. It's a decent sized restaurant with outdoor seating. Since San Pancho isn't very touristy, you will find that you won't need reservations anywhere (even with our large group of 6 adults). Food: Appetizers - Guacamole: BEST GUACAMOLE WE HAD during our time in San Pancho (& we ordered guac for every dinner) - Fried Calamari: AMAZING!! The sauce that it is served with is to die for as well. Main - Shrimp burrito: this was delicious. The tortilla was amazing and the sauce in the burrito just warmed my soul. - Seafood pasta: YUMM! Wow I was thoroughly impressed with this pasta. I have high expectations for Italian food coming from LA where we have tons of delicious Italian restaurants, but this pasta was so tasty. - Crusted Ahi Tuna: This was my least favorite dish that I ordered, but my friend really enjoyed it. The ahi tuna steaks were very heavy paired with a heavy mushroom risotto and this apple/pear jam. To me, the flavors didn't mesh well, but I think it was a personal preference. - Salad (I can't remember the name): I was thoroughly surprised by how yummy this salad was. Usually, I'm prepared for a salad not to be very tasty, but this one definitely was. The mix of fruits, nuts, & blue cheese with the vinaigrette was perfect. Drinks: - Tequilla shots (when in Mexico). They are served on an adorable little wooden board with salt art & a lime wedge - Mango margarita: this was blended and refreshing served in a Moscow mule glass with berries on top I'm looking forward to coming back to San Pancho & immediately coming here for that delicious guacamole! read more

Not often I get surprised in the taco game. They make a shrimp, vege taco with two shells, one soft, one crispy with cheese in between that also has birria type sauce grilled into the shells. Hate to make the Taco Bell comparison, but a birria, shrimp and vege double decker taco. What a combo! I ended up eating here twice on my recent trip to San Pancho, once solo when my friend was feeling ill and the second time with 3 friends. Both times were excellent, though I thought my first meal was a bit better. Had the house speciality shrimp with risotto. The garlic sauce was amazing and the risotto was laced with delish zucchini and carrots that soaked up all the butter. So good. Second time was a little saltier. Also had the avocado toast--OMG, please order this. I am now home and making avocado pesto basically every day! Had a fantastic lunch here. Our group had a chicken burrito, shrimp burrito, fish tacos and golden ribs. Everything was excellent. My son said the ribs rivaled his dads.
