About the green tea, as much as I welcome a lemon wedge in my water cup, I could really do without it in my boba tea. But it came with the tea, so there was no getting around the lemon 'contamination.' They apparently have small boba which is fine although I generally prefer bigger boba, and theirs was at least not overcooked and sweetened. Arriving around 4pm on a weekend late afternoon, the shop was pretty quiet, a few guests came by while I was there. Seating inside for about a dozen people comfortably at cushioned chairs and banquettes, the store is very new and clean. The store follows the color of the bold blue used in its logo as a theme thru the store, paired back to a light tan neutral. On the left side of the store a digital display gave a brief intro to the franchise location owners, flipping between introductions of these three leaders. The team member at the counter was cheerful and very helpful in answering my questions, and giving me time to decide. I went with a matcha latte (premade with oat milk, I asked for no additional sweetener), and a brown sugar bobo, which is their brown sugar bubble milk tea, with oat milk by request. Both were great! I still prefer non-pre-made matcha though for a bubble tea store like this, it used sufficient matcha, if anything a bit too sweet for my preference. The brown sugar bobo was tasty and one of the few occasions where I didn't taste the difference between an oatmilk and real milk iteration of the drink. Both drinks were made within a 6-8 minute wait which is pretty normal in my books. Would swing by again for bubble tea here!

I enjoy it very much. I found the ingredients very fresh and enjoyed the crushed ice mound making all things chill. I spoke with the young person and asked them if they every considered brown sugar syrup in this. They explained this is the more refreshing style and that their milk tea version might be what I am after. When I inquired I was thinking of one of my favorite Szechuan ice jelly (Bing Fen) they serve at the Queens Night Market - it has no sticky rice, similar ingredients, but they use a brown sugar syrup instead (no milk tea). Besides all that Great East Boba's version is Fuzhou inspired, not Szechuan. No matter, I am game to try and will next time I am in the area.

The only thing that I felt bad was that the guy was working there without air conditioning. That might also affect people staying to eat in spite of the small space.
