Recurring credit card charges without telling you. Be very careful signing up for unlimited washes. i lost over $250 because i didn't look at my Bank of America statement. they kept charging me for six months. No refund because they put this in the fine print of the slip they gave me to hand the car wash guy at the entrance. This is a scam and they know it. They take no calls at their office and joyfully take you off the suckers list when you raise hell, but they keep all your money. i've got the Virginia attorney general on this and am in contact with a local television station. Check their reviews you will find other people who fell for this thinking it was a wash receipt. read more

I must have left my car under a tree because it was covered in bird excrement. I'm not sure why there are so many negative reviews but every time I pull up or drive by its always packed. They have always done a great job on all my vehicles. It's not worth 12 for a basic wash but it gets the job down when you can't or just don't feel like cleaning your car yourself. They offer a monthly 24 dollars unlimited deal which is seriously thinking about because they vacuum and clean your car. I would definitely make sure I got my monies worth. The first run through didn't get all the bird excrement off so they told me to go back through but because it was taking so long due to the line being out to the street the gentleman kindly cleaned every stain with a rag and spray. I thought that was going above and beyond and I'm not even a pass holder. Great service! read more

Might want to avoid this place if you just want a one time wash. They give you a super hard sell for the monthly unlimited and then when you don't want to hassle with dealing with it and just say you want a one-time car wash-they harass you. Then once they exhaust you and you say 'fine' give me the unlimited and I'll deal with it later they say, 'nope-too late.' And then keep talking trash. Didn't I just spend $30 on a car wash and then you're gonna talk carp about me? No thanks read more

THE WORST CARWASH EVER... I went through the wash and it scratch my rim I filed a complaint no one email or answer me.. so I cancel my membership before next it's my paint on my car.. read more

Place is an absolute rip off. $30+ dollars for a below avg wash with no interior clean. Won't ever go back, and I drive by it almost daily

I love the unlimited monthly car wash deal. However, eventhough the recording says they're open, the Silver Spring and Kensington locations look to be indefinitely closed. read more

I wish I had read the reviews! They are very aggressive and try to get you to purchase a stupid package. I explained very specifically that I wanted inside and out. I didn't want to purchase the whole package. The worker got annoyed and told me to pull up and pay. I was under the assumption that I was getting inside and out. $25 for just outside is robbery. On top of that, the machine used to move the car stopped mid wash. After sitting there stuck for a few minutes, I was told to put my car in drive and pull forward. My "wash" wasn't even complete. That's when I found out inside wasn't included. Inside AND out is only for members, not "public". That should be the first thing stated when trying to get someone to pay for a $25 car wash. Oh and the outside of my car is still dirty. read more

Frequent coupons and proximity to my house give it 4 stars for me but I wouldn't go out of my way to go here. The car wash itself is ok, my car ends up mostly clean, good enough. The vacuum kiosks though are usually disgusting and require tokens, and the token machine only takes $1 bills. Usually the vacuum hoses have been laying in puddles on the ground and if they touch the interior of your car will leave it dirtier than before you started (esp with light upholstery). Overall a good value with a coupon ($6) and you can get a coupon for a free wash on Facebook if you "like" them. read more

I pay monthly for what they consider "unlimited" and I've noticed over my last couple of visits that they do jobs about half way & call it a day. I had to make start all over since they didn't clean inside at all. My local gas station has better service & those folks probably aren't getting paid by the hour. ‍ Cancelling today. read more

$15 only gets you external wash that doesn't actually clean your car. Don't go here unless you want to waste your time and money. Also, I came here before and they charged me twice for one car wash. Most horrible car was place in the DMV area. read more

Mr Wash - Grime still on the window. - Car Wash Near Me - Silver Spring, Maryland

I am very familiar with what to expect when going to Mr. Wash, but I must say demographics makes a difference. On Thursday, around 5 p.m. I stopped at this location for a quick outside wash. Of course I'm not expecting much, but I do expect for my car to look clean. Due to the fact that I have an SUV I know that some areas are a bit hard to reach. When I pulled my car up to the wash bay there were two very unenthusiastic gentlemen standing there. Now I know it was cold and the end of the day, but to me that would be all the more reason for the men to appear a little happier. Both men had hoses and sprayed a little water on my rims and moved me along. When I got out of the car wash, the entire back of my car was still DIRTY. While all the salt and dirt had been removed from the front and sides of my truck, the back looked as if it had not been touched. In the past I remember a long handled soft brush was applied not only to the tires and rims but also to the back to remove all the surface dirt. Well, THAT'S NOT what they did. Now here comes the difference in demographics. When I visit the Kensington location not only do they use a long handled brush, but they also cover my back windshield wiper with a protective piece of plastic. Can someone explain to me why this isn't done at the Ga. Ave. location? Yes, I know the car wash is only $7 but it should still be a quality $7 wash, one to encourage the customer to return. I personally prefer hand wash for more than one reason, mainly the preservation of my paint job, but when I'm unable to get to a hand wash location it would be nice to know that a Mr. Wash car wash would be just as good. read more

If it was possible to give no stars then that is what I'd give this place. The service is horrible which is confusing because there's about 10ppl wiping your car down at a time. Just spend the extra money and get a good quality car detail because this place is a joke. I spent $30 to get my car washed, vacuumed and wiped down. I left with dirt smudges on the outside my car, the rims on the tires weren't even cleaned, they vacuumed the floors in each section except for the driver and only half of my windshield was cleaned :0. My car isn't a year old yet so it didn't need heavy duty cleaning so there's no excuse for their horrible service. Want this place to be better bc it's convenient for me but the place sucks!!! read more

I got my car washed at the silver spring location yesterday. It cost $25 and didn't get my car cleaned. And it knocked off some of the rubber lining between the roof and the doors. The whole thing took less than 30 seconds. I'm appalled. Do not go here. read more

Awesome deal for RideShare Drivers or if convenient for your commute. I drive Uber and Lyft Part-Time, so I need to keep my car clean all the time. This location also happens to be on my way to my full time job so the $55 unlimited plan is almost a no brainer I come here 2-3 times a week, sometimes more if I hit places that are really dusty. My commute takes me down Georgia Avenue so coming here is the same effort as filling up my tank. Because of the frequency of my visits, my car is kept clean, hence there is not much to clean. So I guess my situation can't compare to the people who just wash their cars once in a while, every other week or once a month where dirt and mess is given an opportunity to build up. All-in-all, I always have a clean car, and because I visit often, it comes out to be $5 a visit (or less) read more

I went to get a basic car wash as requested by the body shop I was taking it to for repairs. The only option was wash plus lava wax for $25. And for that much nothing is cleaned on the inside. I won't return. read more

Express drive thru car wash. In and out in less than ten minutes. The washer is pretty rough, but thorough. I have an older car, and I'm not sure I'd feel very comfortable taking a nice, new car through this washer. I'd also make sure to have a good solid coat of wax on it as well. The nice thing is it thoroughly cleans the undercarriage and decently cleans the wheel wells. Great for rinsing the road salt off the car in winter. Mr. Wash is great for a fast wash, I don't think I'll take my car through here too frequently. Just a bit rough. read more

For such a crummy area, you'd think they would not rip you off. This place is the most expensive car wash place I have ever seen. I paid $18 for an exterior wash with tire shine. I had to go through twice because the 15 second car wash does not do much. Oh, if you want a total wash with interior AND exterior, their sign said $40.00. Someone made that sign while high. My car came out streaky and drip marks everywhere. The price for sub par wash= 2 stars. And, I was generous on that. read more

Ok so I signed up for the monthly plan to get the wash unlimited but every time I come I have to give them my credit card when they should have it in the system and they are just taking money out every month for a 10-15 sec wash I mean that wash goes by so fast that it doesn't clean bird poop off of my car and it doesnt have time to even dry the car I told them about the card problem spoke with three different managers and it still happen I haven't been back since. total rip off and the free car wash don't work either ‍ read more

WARNING: you must have a $39.99 monthly membership to get an interior clean. WTF??? Super disappointed with this change.

This place is a rip off. I was with them for several years. Now they decide to raise their monthly prices with out letting any one know in advance with no legitimate reason. When I called in about it, they were very rude and condescending. horrible company. The wash is not even that good!! Stay away from this place if you wanna keep ur vehicle safe. read more

Let me start by saying when I first started going to this Mr. Wash location, I was impressed by the service and attention to detail. Unfortunately, things have gone waaaay downhill. Expensive for what you get, which is essentiallya $5 car wash and shoddy/spotty interior cleaning. When they told me my car was ready today, I noted several things that hadn't even been touched inside, and the guys working on the car did an equally shoddy job of cleaning up the things they "missed" when first cleaning the interior. I drove away with about a 1/4" of windex in my cup holders and visible dust all over dashboard. This was my last visit to Mr. Wash! read more

Worst car wash I have ever been too! You pay $20 and they don't even clean the interior of your car, just ridiculous!!!! What a waste of money and time. I will never go to this place ever again!! read more

This place is not a good place to bring your car. They not only damaged our vehicle but lied and claimed that it was previously damaged and that they "have proof on tape," but refused to show us the tape. An honorable business doesn't lie to paying customers like that. Don't waste your money here. read more

How can I give this company a negative rating? They stole $120 from me and I would never forgive them. Most other decent companies reimbursed unused payments, but Mr. Wash, they have multiple types of customer service agents who completly screw customers. They don't deserve even 1 star. All they are good for is to wash off mudd fast with the machine instead of doing it yourself. The rest is BS. Especially, what they advertise for the unlimited interior cleaning a lie. Lastly, they have no respect for those of us who tolerated them for long. I would never recommend them. read more

Excellent car wash. Easy in and easy out. Very satisfied! I'm crazy picky when it comes to keeping my cars clean and this car wash delivers. I was very worried the first time I rolled thru but they use plenty of soap and clean water, their soft cloth doesn't scratch, and there's enough of a rinse and blow dry that it's left pretty spotless. The monthly outside only wash is totally worth the price. read more

This is probably the most convenient car wash in the area. You drive right in and pay at the gate, if you do not have the unlimited pass. Mr Wash gets 3 stars because of the hours and the separate process of getting the interior cleaned and vacuumed. I wish the hours for getting the interior cleaned was the same for the exterior. This has been a bit of transition for me as I am use to having the mobile detailing crew come right to my house before I moved to the DMV. read more

Rude and dismissive staff and manager. They are pushing the premium service (for $16 - NOT WORTH IT) so hard that they have directly discouraged the "regular customer" (for $6) from visiting. I have used the premium service several times in the past and have been very disappointed. I have been going to this location for over 10 years, yesterday (8/26/14) was my last time ever visiting this place of business....a real shame. Car washes and vacuums are at many gas stations around this town, I will not miss Mr. Wash Silver Spring and will tell anyone who will listen not to visit. In short, they do not care about your business or feedback. ---A proud downtown Silver Spring resident for over 30 years. read more

I want to let everyone know to stay away! I got bambuzeld into buying a premium membership and 3 weeks into it, they ripped the muff

The guys here tend to be pretty friendly, but always try to upsell a vacuum job, which I usually end up getting. If you get the $16 (ultimate) the vacuum is an additional $2. Their $18 wash is not worth it, but the receipt they give you let's you come back within 2 weeks for a $7.50 ultimate wash, so averaging it out over two washes...i guess it's an OK deal. Except half the time I never make it back for the discounted wash. ugh. It's your standard brush wash, probably not the spot for your new 2012 whip...but if you are pushing a hoopty like me, this place will do the trick. I've gone 4 times now, and never had to wait in line....in and out. I asked them if they have a loyalty card and they handed me a plastic card with a barcode on it...not a cheap punch it paper card. o-kaaaayyy. You have to activate it on their website, but it looks like they'll be sending coupons/washes for my birthday and anniversary...nice. read more

the staff here are super rude. probably won't return. if you aren't interested in the monthly subscription, they're very dismissive of you and the guy i talked to even started speculating about how wealthy i was. shockingly rude read more

I'm not sure why they have workers touching the screen for you and trying to sell you on a package and taking your credit card and sticking it in the machine for you. In a pandemic I don't want to interact with anyone at a car wash. It was also $20 for a 10 second trip through the wash. And there was soap residue on our car at the end. Wont be returning. read more

Please do not go to this car wash!!!! Took my vehicle to this car wash at 2:00pm on Sunday after brunch and the service was horrible. The prices are overly expensive for low quality of work. The attendant that checks you in was cursing to another associate which was unprofessional especially when your customer has the windows down. The lady in the booth seemed to have an attitude when you went to pay her. The quality of the car wash experience was horrible. For a $25 super wash, you are not entitled to tire shine which is ridiculous. Bird droppings are still in the car. You can't even get out of the parking lot after the horrible service you experienced. Please do not go to this car wash because you will have a horrible experience. read more

Mr Wash recently charged its monthly car wash customers twice last month several days apart. I called a week ago and was told it would take 3 to 5 days to credit my account. After 5 days I called back not having received the credit and was told it was processed which it hasn't . I asked to have my card individually credited and they kept saying that it can't be done! Seriously? all you have to do is credit the card and this person who claimed to be a manager says its been done and I should call the bank. I don't feel its my responsibility to have to call their bank about their billing issues. When I repeatedly asked for my card to be credited he refused. This is not good customer service and I think everyone should beware of what appears to be shady business practices. read more

I hadn't been here for awhile--keeping my car clean isn't high on my list of priorities. The last time I visited, I got a wash and vacuum. This time I pull up to the cashier and I'm told that vacuuming only comes with membership. Oh, and a simple car wash is $15!! I had to get multiple cars in the line to back up so I could get out--I'm not signing up for regular credit card charges just so I can get my car vacuumed. From now on I'll just do it myself and save money. read more

I used to frequent Mr. Wash, but stopped coming due to distance. Today I returned because my usual spot was abnormally busy and I was in a rush. When I tell you that this is the worst car wash I've ever spent money on, I am not exaggerating. First of all, Mr.Wash has gone up on their prices significantly over the past several months. What used to be an affordable, if not average, wash for $7, has now increased to the bare minimum price of $12. This wash consists simply of "soap" and water. I emphasize "soap" because upon inspection of my vehicle post-wash, every speck of dirt and grime remained on my car, with no indication that anything besides a mere drizzle of water had been used. Additionally, I spent $2 for tokens allowing me a puny 5 minutes of vacuum time. I was also informed that, unlike the other car washes in the area, interior services in addition to exterior services would cost a total of $42. This is far out of line with the competition in the area - most of whom charge an average of $16. All in all, this was a disappointing experience from a company who seems to now care more about profits than quality of service or customer relations. I will not be coming back here. read more

Do NOT, I repeat do not sign up for their membership. They have the worst customer service. they only have one person working as a clerk who is also a manager by the name of Lisa. She is not very helpful at all. she is very arrogant and thinks she owns the place. unless you use your car for business such as uber and lyft I would not recommend using mr wash. their rate doubles from $30 to $60. you will not get a reminder or anything. they will automatically charge your credit card. for someone who get their car washed once a month, this place is a no no. they also don't do a good job when it comes to interior cleaning. As of today, I cancelled my service and will not look back. I really HATE this place. read more

A complete waste of money. $20 to drive through an automatic car wash. I got the $20 wash because I wanted the tire shine, which I *thought* was done by hand, like they do at the Alexandria location. Nope. "It's done by the automatic wash." It's an extra $18 for them to touch your interior, even for a simple vacuum. They must be high. I still had pollen residue left on my car.
