I'm a bit surprised my the reviews, because I had a pretty positive experience recently after not coming here for awhile. Since the start of COVID, I've been driving so infrequently that I had hardly noticed how much dirt and pollen had begun to settle onto the exterior of my car. Additionally, having a dog to travel with at times has resulted in the visible presence of some flyaway dogs hairs that had floated around and found places to settle throughout the interior. Because it wasn't "essential" I overlooked it for awhile until I could no longer. So I dropped by this weekend while I was already in the area. There were only a few other cars in line, and I was able to see that everyone servicing the vehicles were wearing masks and gloves. I pulled up and as they started getting by car prepped for the drive-thru wash, the manager (I think?) noticed a scratch on the back of my car and gave me a business card for two different businesses locally that could help me get that fixed if I'd like to - one that he said he went to himself and another nearby. Since I had to go inside to pay, this is when I noticed a little bottleneck of people inside also waiting to pay. I chose to wait outside until the line subsided, and then quickly paid and returned to their outdoor waiting area. I had misplaced my credit card the day prior and was almost certain it had fallen out inside of my car but could not initially find it when I went back to look. Because they were really getting up in there while cleaning, the manager actually walked it over to me to let me know they found it. Both the interior and exterior was cleaned to my liking, but also my expectations are pretty basic when it comes to drive through car washes. I know these are typically "rushed" cleanings but that's really all I wanted or needed, so I was pleased that inside was vacuumed and wiped down to my liking. Overall, for $18 I got what I needed - a refreshed, shiny vehicle. read more

First time coming to this car wash, broke my rearview windshield wiper. They wanted me to come back Monday however I work so could not. They manager did show up and offered to buy a new wiper. Although thoughtful I lost a lost of time waiting.. I am currently waiting for the manager to come back with the piece, so not sure if they will fix it correctly. Will update then. read more

Paid $32 for a premium car wash. Car exited wash dripping but still obviously dirty, still saw dirty fingermarks and some evidence bristles swiped dirt on car. Mentioned to the nice guy who was using glass cleaner to finish and he sprayed it on parts of the dirt to wipe them off. So I have waxed covered dirt and now dull portions on that. I don't think they used car soap. If the car wash can't clean the car I will not be back. Not a thorough vacuuming and the rubber mats were supposed to be cleaned not just lightly rinsed. read more

DO NOT BRING YOUR CAR HERE! They completely shredded my tire and tried to put a new one on it. I guess they have an inventory lying around because that seems to happen to them often however, I have an all wheel drive vehicle and you cannot just do that. I asked them to use my spare, but they still trying to pull one over on me by putting a different tire on it. Thankfully I was watching. Another person in the waiting area said that the same thing happened to them and why he still comes here is beyond my comprehension. I will never be returning, my tires were in great condition and now I have to buy all four new tires and they are going to have to reimburse me for one. It's the holidays and I lost my job. I see why they call it speedy car wash. They sure did manage to speed through my car! 1. When was the last time you guys updated your vacuums? Clearly the vacuum on the driver side isn't working because all the crumbs that I mainly wanted for you guys to get were still there. 2. Do you guys even wash your rags? The outside of my car has swirls from the dirty rags. Perhaps that is y'all watermark. 3. I can tell the middle part of my car wasn't wiped at all didn't even try. 29$ dollars.. Dreadful car wash. I gave it a second try to convince myself otherwise, but not even close. A "platinum" wash is $32 and they can't even be bothered to windex interior windows, on both visits. Furthermore, the wash itself is outdated and not efficient, as the dryer leaves large quantities of soap and water on the vehicle which the "wipe" crew fails to (or simply doesn't care to) fully wipe. The interior vacuum is always done hastily and leaves behind crumbs, dog hair, etc. Good thing the Limerick Pub is across the street, as I always require a drink after I throw my money away at this wash. The absolute worst car place i have been to. Didn't even go inside my car to wipe a single thing. They didn't touch the seats of my car. My cup holder still has crumbs... I paid for the "best one" in the list called Platinum lol what a joke. My car has small stains all over it and the carpet is still not vacuumed. It's crazy to say this but i didn't realize how bad it was until i got home because i was in a rush to leave... not sure why people step foot anywhere near here. Car wash is full of hard working people. Interior vacuum is included with whatever package you get which is nice, cheap and affordable. After car wash, the employees hand dry your car and packages start at $15 (better value compared to Mr. Wash in Kensington which starts at 20 for a basic car wash). They actually get all the spots here compared to the car wash in Kensington. Most expensive package is $30. Why would I pay $50 in Kensington if I can get virtually the same thing (lava wax included) as well as an undercarriage wash all for $30? They charge $1 for mats to be cleaned. This includes any number of mats for just a $1. That's a steal! For people who want to tip the employees, quit bitching and actually tip the people a dollar or 2 who are personally working on your car. Just because the place accepts credit cards only, doesn't mean that there's an excuse NOT to tip. I've been going to this car wash for 20+ years through several changes of management and it's just gotten worse and worse. lately the crew can't be bothered to clean the wheels and the windows are always streaked. today I followed 2 cars whose drivers got out and cleaned their own wheels with the brush! not to mention the entire car wash area is strewn with trash and plastic bottles. the manager was there and couldn't care less. Wanted to take my car t this place for first hand experience despite the reviews. The wash of the the car was very fast! But the pre wash vacuum was it that great. I still found some some dirt on the passenger seating, but looked better then before I brought it in. The car did look a lot cleaner after it was washed, but there was still some areas in the front grill which still look like it hadn't been properly wiped down to remove the smudges. I think for the mean time I will try t simple other places in the area to see which has the better service. read more

Don't go here. Ever. I got the basic wash, yet they couldn't even do that right. I repeatedly told an employee that the back bumper was still dirty, but he just kept insisting it's ready to go. To be honest, I'm not even sure he understood what I was saying because his English was really broken, while the other employees nearby were pretending to be busy or couldn't speak English well enough. The employees who wiped down the car also just did a general pass-thru. I was so pissed after paying to get my car washed here. I guess because They are the only car wash in the close by vicinity, they could care less about customer service. Hardly anyone speaks English, or their English is broken, so it's hard to even ask for the type of wash you want.. No one cars Your car will be filthy when the wash is done. The interior vacuum job was completely terrible. Visible dirt on the seats, floor, mats, cup holder and ashtray. THIS IS LITERALLY THE WORST CARWASH I HAVE EVER HAD IN MY LIFE. DO NOT GO HERE. Now it's not that I'm lazy or anything but I just don't have the time to wash the old Volvo it's too much to be bothered with when I have to get up and go go go always. My other car is a tiny sports car from my too fast too furious days that I wash by hand, work on it myself and keep it in a garage covered always never drive it. No other person touches that car not even fiancee. So press for time like I am. I always need a quick convenient place to get my ride clean. So here it is fairly close by and they do a decent job at a reasonable price starting at $11.50 for a complete wash top to bottom inside out. And it goes up to about $18.00 for full wash and wax. Not bad, but when I get my nu derrykmoble this year I'm going to be very anal with it so they better not be ANY SCRATCHES. Not that I'm saying that these guys ever scratch my car they did not. But I'll keep a sharp eye out. As always no matter which car wash you go to. Make sure that there are no valuables in plain sight. Sunglasses especially, phones, cameras, even coins etc. lock them in the glove box. Because they are not responsible for items. I had something swiped from me years ago at another car wash it was just a $5.00 dollar item but still. No use in complaining much because they would just deny it or if get fired move on to another wash and steal there. So if some one has written WASH ME on your dirty wheels and you're in that area just drive right to the heart of Wheaton near the Safeway make the first turn after you'll see it tuck up in between two small buildings. Not as great as the Rosemary Hills car wash, which is a few miles up Georgia Avenue and a true 5 star car wash experience. This one is not bad, though. It is also a genuine old-fashioned car wash, where they vacuum your car and clean the inside for you. A few bucks more than the gas station drive through ones but much more thorough and the line moves a lot faster. Plus, who can find a decent gas station car wash in Montgomery County? Not me! The cheapest wash here cost me $12.50, which was about two more dollars than I wanted to spend. But it is comparable to Rosemary Hills and not that much more than the drive through washes, especially when you factor in having to pay separately for the vacuuming at the drive through (and having to do it yourself). One thing I like about Wheaton Speedy vs. Rosemary Hills is accessibility. It is located on a little side street which makes getting in and out much less complicated. Rosemary Hills is right on a busy part of Georgia Avenue. Forget making a left into or out of there. read more

They increased their prices with a basic wash starting at 16 bucks. I've gone here a few times through the years and they have definitely gotten worse. When I got home and looked at the front - it was still dirty!!! I was able to remove dirt with my fingers, it wasn't stuck or hard to remove. I went inside for a rag and had to finish the job myself. A Waste of Money! The car wash machine works fine, aside from that the wash, vacuum and attention to detail were sloppy. For $22.50 I expect allot more. When I got back in the car there were crumbs and dirt on the floor and the hood of the car had an obvious bird dropping that wasn't addressed and therefore didn't get washed off. I don't like that I need to come home to rewash and vacuum the car. There is a car wash down Georgia Avenue, just inside the Beltway, that is far superior. *Never going here again!* The first time I went to this place was a week after I arrived in Maryland from a drive across country. Internally (interior) my car wasn't really filthy (I'm a pretty neat guy) so I expected my visit wouldn't be very taxing on them. I couldn't have been more wrong. My first experience with this car wash was an absolute nightmare starting with a broken compartment door and ending with the fact that my car looked like it had been rummaged through and not cleaned at all. Maybe it was an off day. Let's try this again... My second time visiting this place was a lot better. My car was thoroughly cleaned (interior and exterior) with the utmost attention to detail. I was very impressed!!! They won me over!!! I'll stop by again!!! My third visit was so bad, I had to leave this review. I'll never be going to this place again. My second visit was clearly an exception in service. This place left my car exactly the same as when I brought it in with the exception of running it through the exterior wash. I can do that at the gas station for 5$. And no compartments will be broken in the process. read more
