I made the mistake of trying Mr. Wash on Glebe Rd, Arlington, VA today and actually joined with the promotional plan $24.99 for two months. Can I say that the wash was not worth the price of going thru the wash. I immediately went online less then 30 mins and cancelled my membership. Not only is the vehicle still dirty they only have a few bays for vacuuming and there was a line at 10am just to vacuum my vehicle. The location is awful its confusing on how to get and any the lanes are very tight. Save your money and go elsewhere. read more

Go to a gas station car wash instead. You will save time and a lot of money. It cost $30 for a single wash. $30 to go thru a mechanical wash. Which did not do a very good job. Photos attached. There is no hand drying. You have access to vacuuming at the end of the wash. This is an extremely poor value if it's your 1st time here. There were quite a few people using the wash and the vacuum. But I assume they are monthly members. There must be a better deal for them. I don't know the exact details. Only offer vacuum sometimes because it is "free" so even if you pay $20+ for a car wash, they will not let you dry or use vacuum if they are full. I was told I would have to go around and pay for a second wash in order to use the vacuum/drying area. Total rip off. read more

This location is often over crowded. The line drains into the street as people are waiting to get in. There are also long lines for vacuum services. There needs to be a better way for this facility to help. Or vacuums need to be added at additional locations. read more

They do not have the unlimited washes and regular washes organized so sitting in line waiting for them to sign people up when I already have the unlimited wash package is ridiculous... they have three lanes. One should be exclusively for signing people up or single washes. The others should be for the unlimited packages. read more

Pay more to get less?!?! PAST: Mr Wash historically vacuumed your vehicle before washing it and then a team of workers would wipe down your vehicle's interior, windows, and exterior to ensure everything is clean and free of any water spots. All of this for about $30; great deal, fantastic service, and good value!!! PRESENT: on a recent visit to Mr Wash, we learned they no longer vacuum or wipe anything interior or exterior of your vehicle; it's all 'do it yourself' Even hilariously more: you have to bring your own towels and cleaner for the interior and exterior... The only positive thing I can really say about Mr. Wash is that it's in a convenient location. However, it is the biggest waste of money and I can't see ever returning. Their base rate for a wash is $25 (which you can't see until you get to the front of the line), which is ridiculous under any circumstances. However, if my car had actually been washed well I might have been less upset about the price. However, the wash is 5 minutes tops and is very basic---no extra features, coatings etc. My car definitely looked cleaner when I was done, but it had water spots and was not the sparkling clean you might expect for $25. They also try to sell you a monthly unlimited plan for $25, but I didn't want to sign up for anything long term until I saw how my car turned out and I'm very glad I didn't. Bottom line: Go somewhere else. Even just staying home and using a garden hose or bucket of soapy water would be better. read more

Horrible first time experience. I bought the the monthly and still don't know how to use it again. I asked if I put my phone number in each time which they said no to but didn't explain what I do. Then when going to vacuum I was directed over to a spot. Guess I went to the wrong spot but someone else was backing into the spot they wanted me to go to so didn't get to vacuum. How's the refund process work? Maybe try painting #s on the lot for different spots for the vacuum and arrows when it's not a place to stop. Just a thought read more

Mr. Wash on Glebe Road - What you should know. My vehicle was recently damaged while using this car wash. The vehicle in front of mine, derailed and the system repeatedly forced my car to hit it (rear end it), until the system was turned off. At the time, the Mr. Wash representative, Ariel Gonzalez immediately took the position that the driver of the car in front of mine had either braked or touched his steering wheel, which caused his car to derail... He indicated "it happens more often the you'd think!" The driver did not deny responsibility, indicated he would file an insurance claim the next business day - we exchanged information and Mr. Wash immediately provided us with a written incident report. They also indicated a video would be available for the adjuster. (The other vehicle had no damages, as it had a trailer hitch, which is what my car hit.) Two months later, the other driver's insurance company denied the claim, indicating that his insured denied causing his vehicle to go off and the video did not confirm otherwise. Mr. Wash will not accept responsibility, as their position is the other driver caused the derailment. (Also, it is nearly impossible to communicate with Mr. Wash - they will only email with you, if you email them repeatedly.) So, although I had absolutely no control over my vehicle being damaged, I will need to file an insurance claim with my provider, in order to have my car repaired (unless I want to pay out of pocket). I've already asked my provider if the claim will affect my premium and they indicated they cannot say for certain. Based on the insured value of my vehicle's damage (provided by the other driver's insurance company before they denied the claim), I doubt my insurance company will make the time and effort to pursue trying to place liability on either party... not sure how it can be proven anyway. Bottom line, I should filed a police report, so the statements would have been documented. Going forward, I will only use a car wash where they navigate cars through the system and "hopefully" they are liable for any related damages. Please learn "from my lesson." ...Think twice about using this car wash and don't be too trusting of others. read more

Low quality wash, leaves streaks and water marks, barely gets dirt off, ridiculously expensive, $30 exterior wash only, and the staff will aggressively argue with you for five full minutes trying to get you to sign up for a subscription no matter how many times you ask for one single wash. Just a mechanical car wash for $30. The vacuum's that they let you use don't work well. It's worth about $10 for a drive through wash. I'd recommend you find one of those at a local gas station instead. PS. Just moved here recently from California and it's pretty amazing how difficult it seems to be to find a basic car wash where they vacuum and do interior windows along with a decent wash. I had a membership that I ended up canceling because I was being denied access for alleged non-payment. I pulled up my banking app and showed the representative payments deducted from my account from November all the way back to August when I opened the membership. The rep told me to reach out to customer service, which is only available by email. I reached out and requested cancellation and a refund only for the latest deduction from my account - my car had been in the body shop for two months, so I gave Mr. Wash the benefit of the doubt because I didn't have a car during that time frame. With that email, I included screenshots showing where my subscription payments were deducted every month. When customer service responded, the rep basically told me that my proof of payments didn't matter because their system didn't show those payments were made. When I suggested that there's a problem with the system, I was told that the only way to correct it would be to provide credit card information. I told the rep that I wasn't giving them credit card information again; they have my name, email, phone number and tag number, why isn't that enough? The rep again responded telling me that my account hadn't been paid and the only way to correct it was by providing credit card information. I noticed in that response that the rep provided the wrong tag number for my car. When I pointed out that they had my tag number wrong, I got an email that my request to cancel was processed, but nothing about refunding my money. I called my bank and filed a dispute since the service I paid for was not provided. Fast-forward to yesterday. I went online and paid for a subscription thinking the store workers are sheisty and that I'd have better results signing up on my own online. Nope! I went to two different locations after signing up and the same thing happened. I showed my welcome letter and proof of payment and the workers at both locations told me that they have to go with what's in the system and the system shows that I haven't paid. I requested a refund and I am working on having the county investigate Mr. Wash for fraud. I'll give Mr. Wash until the end of business today to respond. If I don't hear from them, which I don't expect I will, I'll dispute the transaction again. I'll never do business with them again and strongly advise that you NOT sign up for their membership program. They can't deny that you paid if you use them as a one off service. Honestly, just don't. I paid for what I thought was their most premium wash. Im not convinced the lava wax even happened, and the inside and outside of the car are still filthy. See the photos... a picture tells a thousand words. I can't believe I tipped, before seeing the work. Oh, and their website says "YOUR OPINION MATTERS! We want to hear from you! I do appreciate Mr. Wash. I came here cause I wanted a quick wash for my car. Something affordable because DC rain is going to ruin the wash anyway. I happened to stumble by this Express-type car wash. Found out 1 wash was $30, but they had a promo going on to purchase a $25 unlimited membership, with the 2nd month free. This averages out to about less than $15 per month for unlimited express washes. I had some bugs splattered on my car because I shipped it from California, but the kind man in the front took his time to scrub down the bugs, which I was grateful for. Happy customer, such a steal for unlimited washes! Note: I think it's a max 1 wash/day, so realistically, it's about 30 washes for the price of $25. There are so many locations, and you just go to the front and they automatically scan your license plate for the membership, and you can go to any location! Ask for a pamphlet, because it shows which locations have vacuums. GREAT! Love it here. read more

Just left the Glebe location and I would not recommend this spot. I pay 39.99 a month and cannot get them to wet my rags when they clearly use to do it. When I complained to the tenet he said it did not make him any difference whether I cancelled my subscription or not said basically he could care less I asked to speak to the manager his sentiments were pretty much the same said they've been in business for over 25 years. This used to be a good car wash with inside and outside service. After COVID19 they switched to exterior wash only. There used to be employees who dried the car up and now there is nobody. So all you get after going through the car wash is water streaks as you drive away. I used to be on the monthly unlimited wash plan for 4 years. The convenience and multiple locations were but great but not anymore. You are better off looking for a car wash once a month else where rather than get this everyday. read more

Do NOT recommend. Should be zero stars for zero customer service. Had car washed 6/23/2021. First exterior wash failed to remove bug gut splatters on front of car, and one bird dropping from right side window of car. Second "re-wash" also failed to remove the bug and bird deposits. Not worth the $25 they now charge for exterior wash only. Failed to do any pre-wash using the pressure hoses. When I complained to "Roy" the manager, he said, they no longer attempt to manually clean cars. If the automated system doesn't do the job they will not make any further effort. They actually wanted me to pay for the re-wash, but caved when I asked for the manager. So what you get is a partly clean car for $25. Aside from the rotten employee attitudes, their machinery does a poor job of cleaning. And they simply refused to take a pressure hose, rag, brush or sponge for what has to be a common car wash occurrence. Lazy employees and management. I have gone to this Mr. Wash a few times, but I won't go back to any Mr. Wash. The problem is the extremely aggressive sales job the attendants do to sell you a monthly contract. All I ever want is one wash (every several months) but I have to listen to a very high pressure sales pitch every time. Most recently, the attendant insisted on finishing his pitch--waving a card in front of me claiming a "special sales price" on the contract--even after I stopped him three times and said "Stop talking. I only want the one wash today!" A very unpleasant experience that won't be repeated. read more

The machines for the outside wash work fine, but the interior cleaners are ineffective. The interior didn't seem vacuumed or wiped down. This location lacks in quality control for interior. This was a very disappointing car wash. I was in and out of the car wash in probably 90 seconds, which wasn't long enough to get my car clean at all. The car was no cleaner after my trip to Mr Wash than after a decent rain, but a decent rain comes for free. There was not enough soap, not enough scrubbing, not enough time. I came home and washed all my windows and mirrors by hand and regretted the loss of my $20. read more
